[Chapter 29 Start]

There were three parts to the athletic test:

The sprinting test, The weight lifting test, and The jumping test.

I helped out Chako in arranging the Student council room and then went to the playground to warm up for these three tests. While everyone was busy showing off their sturdy muscles, No one was practicing or warming up before the tests start.

Since I already did cardio in the morning, I tried lifting some weights.

"Huff, Huff!"

"No one was practicing right?" I thought.

I went over to take a glance at the person clothed in pure muscles and sweat. It was Jun Takahashi of the baseball Club.

I got scared. I was underestimating the test, taking everything for granted. Now that I saw this, I got the adrenaline rush in me. I knew I shouldn't slack.

I did stretching, Weightlifting, Cardio, and any kind of exercise I could think of. I was very uneasy about the dream I got today.

I can't fail this test. The rewards included the school taking care of the finances of the winning club and the student council affiliating with the winning club. Making it the top club in the school. I was standing with all the weight of my club members on my shoulders.

"I wouldn't let it drag me down."

"Woah! I gotta fight against you in the test? I thought it would be easy." I turned around to find Jun behind me.

"I know it's training but you shouldn't wear it down too much. I don't want such an amazing competitor to not give his best against me in the test."

He was smiling at me while I stood with my eyes full of surprise.

"Why is he talking to me? Is he talking to me? Did I mess up somewhere?" I bombarded myself with such questions.

"You're making me shy with all that staring. I'm Jun Takahashi, I'l be competing against you and many others in the test. Although we will be enemies, let's be friends!"

His eyes were full of sparkle. Like when the sun rises up against a seashore in spring.

"Sure! I'm Iharu Kkanamura from the fitness club. I'm also in the same class as you if you ever noticed me." I had that sprinkle of sarcasm in that last sentence.

"Oh, I did! You always sat back in the class yet you paid the most attention than anyone. And also took the highest marks in the class. You must think no one knows you, But you're the source of competition for many front-bench sitters. But, I didn't know you were in the fitness club. Your body is built pretty well. Just to take full advantage of friendship, after this test, can you coach me on some exercises?" He said laughingly.

'I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be able to do so-"

"It's alright. You just need me to tag along with you! I can just watch you and learn."

I couldn't reject such a request. The way he stared at me with such bright eyes. It could melt mount fuji.

"Alright, if you just need to tag along with me."

"Thank you!"
