Manga Medium

    "Where is she at?", Kazou said staring at the clock on his phone screen. It was about 5 minutes after their meeting time. He texted her asking. 

    [Yo where you at?] Kazou asked in the form of a text message.

     (Look behind you) Suma responded immediately. 

     Kazou turned around and still didn't see her. 

    [????] 

     (No the other way) Suma texted back. 

    He turned around again, and still didn't see her. 

     [Are you sure you see me?] Kazou asked. 

      (Yeah I can see you) Suma responded. 

     [Where?]

     "Hello" said a person wearing a black hoodie getting up from a nearby bench. When the unknown individual took their hood down it was Suma.

      "You were there the whole time?" Kazou said sounding a little dead inside. 

      "Yup", Suma said cheerfully, "I just thought it'd be funny to see you turn in circles just to realize I was here the whole time".

      "Your the worst", Kazou said still sounding defeated. 

     Suma just laughed. Over the past week as Kazou and Suma have grown closer he realized she likes to play pranks on people. Two days prior to this meeting Kazou and Suma had sat down at the lunch table. When Kazou started to talk to Toyo about a soccer game Toyo had watched, Suma had sneakily put a fake spider on Kazou's tray. Toyo noticed it but didn't say anything as he was interested in what would unfold.

     Kazou then went to take a bite of his sandwich when he had noticed the spider. He immediately smashed it with his fist as hard as he could. Toyo and Suma both started laughing hysterically which caught the attention of Yumi and Ami who had been talking about their assignment. 

    The whole table had a good laugh. When Kazou realized it was fake he laughed to. 

    "So where are we going" Suma asked curiously. 

     "It's a mystery", Kazou said trying to sound mysterious.

      "Then let's go, I hate suprises", Suma said as she picked a random direction to walk. 

      "We're going this way", Kazou said gesturing towards the opposite way. Suma speed walked back standing next to Kazou as they walked. 

    As they walked closer to the destination Kazou realized they had both unintentionally matched outfits. His face turned red out of embarrassment. 

     "You good?", Suma asked, noticing his face was a shade of red. 

    "Y-yeah it's just that we're matching outfits, people might think we're a couple or something", Kazou said trying not to sound awkward. 

    "Well we're definitely not a couple", Suma said quickly. 

     "Yeah good point", Kazou said.

    Kazou then stopped infront of a building. Suma noticed he had stopped walking and also came to a stop. 

    "Uhh what are we doing here?", Suma asked. 

     "What do you mean? This is my favorite place", Kazou said with a smile. 

    The building they stood infront of had a large sign on it. The sign had the words "Manga Medium" on it with an anime character on the side of the sign. 

     "You've been here before?", Suma said looking at Kazou. Kazou noticed she seemed excited. 

     "Nope never in my life", Kazou said smiling as he walked towards the door.

     Suma had alot of questions but Kazou was already walking in so she just followed Kazou into the Manga Cafe she had been in so many times before.
