Chapter 5:

Pact

AGONY! The Omnipotent Deity's Dastardly Quest

I decided to mark everyone that was free and sorted them into three categories: My party and party prospects, the innocents, and the fodder. The fodder consisted of everyone I didn’t mind getting killed off, scum like criminals, shit bag politicians, and cronies. The innocents were everyone else. Naturally, they were the largest group. I could effortlessly change the personalities of everyone into one group or another, but that much movement would undoubtedly grab Pizza shit's attention. If he finds out I'm not an Omni but an Omni-Deity, Gula might show up. Sure, I could fight him, but its way too early to brawl with him now. Thus, I'm limiting my actions in order to not draw too much attention. At least not until I'm ready to pummel him. Though in the meantime, I'll try and round up some fodder for Kumi.

After finding some, I began flinging them in Kumi's direction. Just like playing catch, she zapped the goons to death as I flung them towards her.

“YO! I’m getting the hang of this. Though what did that asshole say again? You implied he let Nika’s location slip.”

I replayed the message in her mind as I burned some fodder with a fire tornado. As the tornado spun, a woman suddenly emerged from the flames. She was dressed like an oiran and carrying a katana.

Her name was Honoka Shibawara. She was a coldblooded killer from a family of assassins. She was also one of the prospects I had my eye on. I approached her as she swung her sword at me.

“Yo Honoka, wanna join my party?” I asked as I froze her in place.

“Why can’t I move!? What have you done to me?”

“I froze you in place. You can’t use your powers or move.”

“I’ll never submit to anyone,” she spat.

I eviscerated her spit bomb with a dark flame before unfreezing her. She engulfed herself in flames and charged at me. I then gently flicked my left pinky finger at her sending her flying through multiple buildings. Her bones were broken, but I made sure she was still alive.

“You want to fight strong foes, right? If you join me, you’ll encounter plenty of strong foes.”

Honoka gazed up at me as I slowly healed her wounds.

“I kill. Its all I know how to do.”

I then changed the way she talked.

“Ohahaha! _! Why am I talking in the manner of an aristocrat?”

“Well you are dressed like one.”

“I care not how I talk or dress, I wish simply to kill. Tis the thrill of battle that excites me.”

“Yes, you’re strong, and that’s why I want you to join me. If you swear a pact to me, I’ll grant you even more power.”

I peered into Honoka’s mind. She was essentially nothing but a killing machine. If she agreed to my pact, she’d get far more personality and become more powerful.

“Very well. I sense thou are the one foe I cannot beat. If thou can alter my mind with ease, I have no hope of beating thee. I accept your pact with pleasure,” Honoka smiled.

Red veins began pulsating throughout her body as she smiled. She had agreed to my pact of her own free will, meaning she was truly my minion.

Any Omni-Deity can force someone to be their minion. However, if they don’t want another Omni-Deity to steal their minions, the pact must be formed out of the minion’s true free will. If an Omni-Deity forces someone to agree to their pact, that minion will not truly be theirs and can be poached by a rival. But if they truly agree to the pact, they can never be controlled by another Omni-Deity.

I then granted Honoka the power of a fire dragon and gave her a new outfit.

“Ohahaha! Quite the outfit, thou hast clothed me in. I enjoy it. Now that I have joined thee, I assume I am to level up to best serve you,” she laughed.

“Yep, now go have some fun, and don’t kill the ones I’ve got my eye on.”

Honoka got the message and leapt off to do battle. I turned to Kumi to see if she had solved the riddle.

Since she hadn’t, I figured we’d do some more recruitment. This next prospect would be perfect for leveling up Kumi.

“Kumi, let’s fly,” I stated as my trench coat turned into wings.

Kumi turned into lightning and flew off with me. We landed right in front of a man with spiky green hair wearing a head band and carrying a rifle.

“Oi Oi! What the hell’s going on!? You’re that freaky guy I spotted at the dinner,” he stated.

“You’re the pathetic guy that was hogtied and gagged in a sewer and needed to be saved by your girlfriend,” I snickered.

“*Tch*! I don’t have time for this! I have to get back to her. She’s just an ordinary woman and won’t last long against folks with powers.”

Naturally I knew of everything that this man had experienced, and I mean EVERYTHING. His miserable life growing up, the fateful encounter that helped turn him into a competent fighter, and everything he experienced this night.

“Wait, do you want me to fight this guy?” Kumi asked.

“Yes, he’s perfect fodder for you.”

“Fodder! What a pain. I don’t like fighting women, but that doesn’t mean I can’t. What happened at the dinner was just bad luck for me. Tonight's supposed to be extra windy,” the man declared as he pulled out his rifle.

It was a dark green custom sniper rifle that was nearly as long as his body.

“Wait he’s a sniper? EASY! I just rush him,” Kumi exclaimed.

“Think I’ll let you, Ojou-chan?”

A tornado of wind appeared around the man and carried him to higher ground.

“Sorry for not greeting you properly. I’m Zeno, the sniper that rules the wind.

“I’m Kumi, the girl with over 69,000,000 subscribers!”

“WAIT WHAT!? No way! Um, if you’re real could I get an autograph?”

“Sure! I’ll sign your body cast!”

“Well, aren’t you a psychopath. Sorry but you’re the one that’s gonna end up in a cast.”

I reclined on a rain cloud and chugged a smoothie as I watched.

“He might be level 15, but still possible for you to beat without my intervention. Plus, if you beat him, that’ll be a massive power boost for you and me," I stated.
