Chapter 15:
Me and Senpai
I woke up in a room that had two beds for patients. Then, I realized where I was: the school infirmary! I knew who brought me here: Senpai!! But, I couldn't even remember what we were talking about earlier. Maybe, it was something about him being sorry.
I couldn't move. My body hurt like hell. I just wanted to go home and sleep on my comfy bed. I tried to lay on my side which was an old habit but I guess the nurse who was just walking in, noticed me.
"Oh dear, don't move. It'll hurt your body," she said and I didn't move.
"We called your parents. They said they're busy. They can't come to get you," she continued. "But they said Shoyo Hirakumi from class 2-C can take you to his home. Are you ok with that?".
"I dunno. Is he ok with it?," I said.
"Yes, he is and he's waiting outside. He has your backpack, too. And I think, looking at your will to move, you'll manage going home. You're strong," she said.
So I got up, looked at myself in the mirror in the infirmary, fixed my runny nose and went outside to meet Senpai. He was using his phone, leaning on the window. He's so hot. I can stare at him all day!
He looked up from his phone and smiled at me.
"Let's go," he said.
"Give me my bag," I said.
"What? No! I'm not gonna do that. I can't let you put load on your body. You're sick!," he said.
"Fine, then. I just wish it were a bit more heavy so that you could've understood the pain of a heavy bag," I said as I scoffed.
We got out of school and started walking to the train station. We were quiet all the way. The cold wind felt like it would blow me away. Not that I felt cold or anything. I felt bad for Senpai. Maybe he might be thinking of me as an ungrateful brat or something. I felt like continuing the conversation from earlier but I didn't.
We reached the train station and then the Hirakumi household. Wait, his house?! Then, I remembered, the nurse did say I was going to his house. Oh God, I can't do this. Nobody's home at his place.
He opened the door with the keys he had. Then, I went inside with him and sat down on the couch. I sighed. My head hurt a lot by now. He came and put my bag on the table. Then he went to his room, changed his clothes and came back.
He asked me if I wanted to drink water. I nodded so he got a glass of water for me. I drank the water as fast as I could. My eyelids were getting heavy. I didn't want to pass out on him.
"Are you ok? Do you want to rest?," he asked.
I nodded. So, he took me to his room and I fell on his bed as soon as I got inside the room. I didn't care where I was or whose room it was or whose bed it was! I just wanted my headache to end! I fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes.
