The memory that I want to forget

“Youta, why I found this here?”

“What did you found there?”

“Why did I find this hair clipper here? I think I have seen this hair clipper before.”

I think it is a senpai hair clipper. Why did I not notice it before?

“I think my aunty left it there. You know, a woman that you saw at restaurant when we met before.”

“Really? Okay then.”

Knock-knock!

I opened door, I saw two people that I assume were plumber that senpai talk about.

“Sorry to disturb you. Are you Arima Youta, Saito Akemi’s neighbor?”

“Yes. Saito-san have inform me about today. Wait for minute, I will take the key first.”

“Who is them, Youta?”

“Plumber from water company. I need to give my neighbor’s key.”

“Can I come to see her house?”

“I think maybe you should not come. My neighbor did not really like people come to her house.”

“She is a quiet person. I will be waiting here then. Do you have any video games? I want to play it while waiting for you.”

“Yes! There are many videos game that I have. I will go out first.”

I open Saito senpai’s house door. Her house looks very nice. The plumbers go to the sink to see if there was problem in there. Then, they go to the toilet and bathroom.

“We found that there something that clogged in the main sewer of this house. That cause the water can’t running properly. We have get the things that clogged in main sewer of this house. If there any problem happens again, just give us a call.”

“Thank you for come today.”

“You are welcome.”

When I got back home, Minami had fallen asleep. She looks so tired. Then, she wakes up from her sleep.

“I did not realize I fell asleep. What is time right now?”

“Five o clock.”

“I think I should go back home now. Youta, are you free tomorrow?"

“Yes, I am free tomorrow. Why ?”

“I want to go the aquarium that just opened the other day. Can you come with me?”

“Of course!”

“Okay! How about we meet in front of entrance of aquarium on 10 o clock in the morning?”

“Alright we will meet there.”

After she go back to her home, I just realize again that did both of us will have a date tomorrow?
I need to find the cloth that I should use tomorrow. I can’t wait for tomorrow to come.

Today is the day.

I’m wearing blue colored casual button down, a pair of dark jeans and white sneakers. I go to the aquarium by bus. From my house to the aquarium, it takes 20 minutes. When I arrived in front of the entrance of aquarium, Minami still had not arrived there. There are fifteen minutes before ten o clock. After a few minutes, I notice a woman walking toward me.

“Youta!”

Is that Minami? I barely noticed her. With a pair of black jeans and a cute top, she really looks like a different person. She also wearing heel.

“Sorry for the late!”

“Don’t mind Minami! You look pretty today.”

Why did I sound like a shy boy just now?

“Rrreally? You also look cool today.”

“What do we wait for? Let’s go inside now!”

After pay for registration, we enter aquarium. There are so many kinds of sea creature that I have not seen before. Minami did not want to let off this chance. She tries take the picture of every kind of sea creature that she sees. She looks so happy. I secretly take picture of her when she is having fun in aquarium.

“Should we be having a lunch right now? I feel hungry after having so much fun in aquarium. I think there are café beside this aquarium.”

“I also feel hungry. Let’s go there, Minami!”

At café, both of us order two hamburger and two cup of iced cola. We both take a seat.

“Today is so fun! Thank you for today, Youta! I did not want to visit here alone, that’s why I try to invite you.”

“Thank you to you too Minami! I also did not have time to visit some places in Tokyo after start living here.”

I try to find topic to talk about.

“By the way, what is your auntie’s job, Minami?”

“She working as journalist. How about your auntie’s job, Youta?”

I don’t know that we will talk about our aunty right now.

“She working as a novel writer. Do you know YaMaa?”

“Is she your aunty? That’s mean a woman with you at restaurant, it’s really her?”

“Yes.”

“I don’t know about that although I’ve knew for long time.”

Both of us become quiet again. Then, Minami start talking again.

“Hiroshi and you are close right?”

“Yes. How about you? If I not mistaken, you and Asada-san recently become close?”

“True. Tomorrow, both of us plan to go to the shopping mall. You don’t plan things like this with Hiroshi?”

“He said he have some appointment with a certain person.”

“Is he meeting her girlfriend?”

“I don’t know. when I ask him, he did not explain it to me. Maybe he really meeting with his girlfriend.”

“Did you still have time for today?”

“Today I have nothing to do. Did you want to go somewhere after this?”

“Let have some walk. I think there are lake near this place.”

“Alright!”

Both of us go to the lake. It takes five minutes from aquarium to the lake. We walk surround the lake. I feel refresh doing things like this.

After ten minutes walking, we decided to sit on the bench.

“Looking at this lake, I remember there were river near our high school before.”

“Yes. We sometime spend our time there. The water is cold and refreshing,” said Minami.

“I still remember that you go back to your home with my cloth because of yours have been swept away when you took bath there.”

I suddenly laugh when remember that time.

“Why are you laughing, Youta? I did not know that I lose my cloth that time. Thankfully, you brought spare pair of cloth during that time. But I think your story is funnier. If I not mistaken when Kojima and you fell to the river after fight for fried chicken.”

The situation become awkward between of us.

“Sorry , Youta! I did not mean to say about that!”

“Don’t need to sorry. It’s my fault also because it was me start talk about that river first.”

“Are you fine? I know that you don’t really want to remember about that time.”

“It’s okay. Should we go back home right now. I afraid that we will late have a dinner later.”

“Yes. But I need to wait for my aunty come to pick me up.”

“I will wait with you.”

Fifteen minutes later, Minami’s aunty come to pick her up.

“Thank you for today Youta and I’m really sorry for what I done earlier.”

“Don’t mind too much about it, Minami. I also not quite remember about that time.”

“Okay then, goodbye Youta.”

“Goodbye Minami.”

I arrive at my house. I open house door. I put off my sneakers. I don’t feel hungry right now. I think I should just go to sleep right now.

“Why are you laughing, Youta? I did not know that I lose my cloth that time. Thankfully, you brought spare pair of cloth during that time. But I think your story is funnier. If I not mistaken when Kojima and you fell to the river after fight for fried chicken.”
