Sometimes it feel better to let it out everything

Both of us sit on the floor. I open veranda windows to let fresh air in.

“So, what will we talk about, senpai?”

“Before that we need some drink.”

Then senpai went to refrigerator, and I see that she brings out two cans of beer that I don’t when I bought it.

“I don’t think that I bought beer this morning. Where do you get the beer, senpai?”

“I just brought from my house. Do you drink beer?”

She gave me one can of beer and both of us opened it. Then, Saito senpai start to talk.

“Can I tell you a little bit about my life?”

“I don’t really know about my mom. She left my dad when I was 4 years old. Since then, I have never seen my mom again. My dad is always busy with his work and never has time for me at home. So, my dad asks my grandma and grandpa to take care of me. My dad will come to visit us only at Christmas. The next day, he will start working again. He will be home once a year, but he never spends much time with me at that time. That’s why I more close to my grandparent than own my parent.”

“Are you miss your parents?”

“Sorry, it just I feel more comfortable to call you Youta-kun. Maybe you should try to call me Akemi, “said Saito senpai in a playful way.

“It hard for me to change how I call senpai suddenly.”

“Come on , just try it Youta-kun!”

“Akemi senpai...”

“Why your face is red right now , Youta-kun?” said Saito senpai with smirk.

“I think I will not change how I address senpai.”

“Okay, I will stop right now. Arima-kun did you have fall in love before?”

I suddenly felt thirsty after hearing that question.

She quickly enters my bedroom. What had I done tonight? How should I face senpai after this?

Then, I heard my bedroom door open.

“Arima-kun, I can’t sleep in your bedroom.”

“I just can’t sleep in your bedroom right now. Can I sleep here instead?”

“Why your face is red? Are you sure you are not drunk?”

She then lay down next to me and faces opposite of me. Should I sleep in my bedroom?

When I want to get up, she suddenly holds my hand.

“Can you just sleep with me here tonight?”

“I sleep next to you, senpai?

“Faster! Just lay down next to me. But face on the other side. Don’t face me.”

“Okay, senpai.”

I lay down next to senpai and face the opposite way of senpai.

“Thank you for today and good night…again, Youta-kun.”

“Good night to you too… again, senpai.”

I think I just heard senpai call me Youta-kun again. How should I sleep right now? My heart is beating so hard. I can smell lotion that senpai always use. Did senpai have to go to sleep already? Maybe I should count the sheep, so I can sleep.

One sheep, two sheep, three sheep, four sheep, five sheep, six sheep, seven sheep…

One hour later…

Two hundred and ninety nine senpai, three hundred senpai, three hundred and one senpai…

Wait, when did it start changing from sheep to senpai?

The clock now shows two o clock in the morning.

When I look at senpai, she sleeps so peacefully. Although she said not to face her, I try to look at her face when she sleeps. She looks so pretty. My eyes suddenly feel heavy. Finally, I can go to sleep now.

When I woke up in the morning, I notice she not next to me anymore. When I look on my smartphone, I notice there is message from Saito senpai.

“Good morning, Arima-kun! Thank you again for yesterday. Right now, I have arrive at the train station. I did not want to wake you up earlier because you sleep soundly. By the way, can I ask for your help again? The plumber from the water company will come to my house today. I have tell them that you have my house key because I’m not home today. The house key I have put on your table. I promise I will give you a present after I go back on day after tomorrow. Don’t forget to have your breakfast!”

I sent her my reply.

“Have a nice trip!”

“Thank you!”

She later sent one picture to me.

The picture she sends is my face of me when I sleep.

“Senpai, I also have something to send to you.”

I sent the picture when she is lying in front of my house before to her.

“Wait! I thought you had deleted it!

“If you delete my sleeping face’s picture, I will delete your picture.”

It’s so fun to tease senpai like this.

“Whatever you want to do! I will ride my train right now!”

“I’m just kidding senpai! I will delete this picture right now.”

I forgot that Minami would come here today. I should clean my house before she comes.

But when I look around, everything looks clean and neat. I noticed beside the key there was food on the table. There is rice, natto, miso soup and rolled omelet. This is what she means don’t forget to have breakfast. I brush my teeth and take a bath first. I can’t wait to eat the breakfast senpai prepared for me. This morning is the happiest morning I have ever had since I have lived here.

I was reading a novel when I heard someone knocking on my door. I open the door and see Minami in front of me.

“Hello, Youta!”

Although it was Saito senpai that helped me clean my house.

Both of us started doing our project. We discuss together if there is some part that we do not understand.

“Nice, finally we have done with our project.”

“Yes, after this I can relax without worrying about any work. When you will go back home, Minami?”

“I did not call my aunty yet. Do you want to chase me out now?”

“No! If you want to stay here longer, it’s fine.”

“It’s just how long we don’t do this thing since high school days.”

“I still remember that when we did our homework, you are always the first one to finish. I will copy your work after that.”
