Chapter 6:

2.1 Truth

Daydream

Scroll 1/3:

"Welcome to Rynn, my descendant.

You must be wondering what this place is and how you got here. You could say this world is like a parallel world, even older than ours. It is a replica of Earth before it split into continents 350 million years ago, which we humans called Pangea in our time. You are very special, for when you reach adolescence, your lesser god blood awakens. The world you know as Earth is full of lies and forgotten history. If you seek history, read Scroll 3.

You are a Nephilim, a descendant of the great god Silica.” Pointing to herself to identify herself. “When you sleep in the real world, your soul will be transported to this world and will remain here until you wake up in the other world. Roughly 16 hours in this world is approximately 8 hours in Earth's time. Most of the time, you will be here when you sleep. With practice, you can transport your mind here during meditation.

You might be thinking, Wow, a new world all by yourself. Fear not, for you are a Nephilim. Nephilim can summon other people from Earth to this world using a spell, and you can also remove and block them. Feel free to invite as many members to your house as you like; however, you are responsible for them!

I would not recommend using your real name, as you may regret it in the future and be discovered by other nations in the real world, leading to conflict or execution.

If you seek strength and want to learn more about your lineage, go to the capital of the world and attend Nephilim University. Read Scroll 2/3 for more information.

Enjoy yourself and have fun. I know you can do it!

P.S. You may use the temple as your home base.

Sincerely, your great ancestor, Silica"

Silica closed the scroll slowly and reached for the next one. However, as she reached for the next paper, it was too weak and tattered, making it impossible to read. The third scroll was in no better condition than the second. Silica held my hand gently, her touch soft. "Do you have any questions I can answer?".

"Did you summon me here?"

"No, I did not. You are a Nephilim like me," she said holding my right hand, and lifting it off the table. "You see this ring around your right hand on your ring finger. This is a symbol of being a Nephilim."

As I examined the ring on my finger, I marveled at its exquisite craftsmanship. The pure white band adorned with intricate vine patterns led to a stunning colorless gem surrounded by flower-shaped pebbles. It was a truly remarkable piece, and its design seemed otherworldly as if it had been created by skilled dwarfs and elves. Her hand also held a golden band ring with a beautiful green gem, displaying the same level of craftsmanship and elegance. I couldn't help but be in awe of the quality of these rings.

Curiosity piqued, "How did my entire class get here?" With a playful smile, Silica pulled her hand back and replied, "Well, haha, during our speech yesterday in your classroom, your spiritual power surged, and you inadvertently spread your energy and mana throughout the class. This caused your energy to connect with and accept your friends, essentially summoning them to this world. Congratulations, you cast your first spell!" She chuckled as if trying to conceal something.

Recalling the events of yesterday, the feeling of being unwell and resting my head on the table while mist filled the room, it all started to make sense. It must have been during that moment, that the summoning occurred. Most likely, that was the catalyst. My confusion began to dissipate and become clearer. I was starting to feel better after just getting here. My heart rate and mind were slowly calming down back to their usual self. Kendra seemed rather confused with trying to keep up the conversation.

“Can you tell me more about magic Prez?"

“Please call me Silica in this world, Well. The first step is to return to town and determine if you possess the necessary attributes and spiritual power to perform magic," Prez or Silica explained.

This is the first time ever talking to her. I don’t even know her full name. I know she is popular, and people call her President Midoriya. I can’t remember her given name. I guess calling her Silica won't be too big a deal.

"There is a skilled teacher there who taught me magic. It's similar to an RPG, but your class is already selected, and we need to determine what skills you possess."

President looked at me and Kendra, offering some options. Listing some ideas: "We can stay here for a bit longer and talk, go get new clothes, explore the city, register with the Adventurer's Guild to test your magical abilities, and introduce you to my magic sensi."

So many options, I didn’t know what to choose from. I don’t have any money… I don’t know what to do. I have no clothes. Nothing. As I hung my head "I don't have any money."

"Don't worry, I can lend you some money. My ancestor left me with a substantial number of coins. I'll lend your house some, and you can pay me back when you're able to." As she reassured me with a carefree smile.

"My house?"

"Yes, your house, your classmates are considered your house since you summoned them, and only you can release their powers to return them and ban them by removing their memories. Your house is like a guild or group like an RPG game, and you are their leader."

The thought of being a leader struck fear into my heart. I had always been content with going with the flow and following others. The idea of leading people felt foreign to me, and I genuinely didn't want the responsibility. In a moment of panic, I suggested that Silica take over and incorporate my class into her house. However, she firmly refused, insisting that I should be the leader of my own house. Reluctantly, I had to accept the role, knowing deep down that it would likely be a chaotic and challenging endeavor for the future. Man, this is going to suck for future me!

As Kendra and I discussed the options, I noticed a change in her demeanor. Normally talkative when we were alone, she seemed reserved and shy, especially around President. Perhaps she was feeling unwell or uncomfortable in her torn and hole-ridden clothes. It seemed like the best course of action would be to find new clothes for both Kendra and myself.

"I vote for getting new clothes," I suggested, turning to Kendra for her opinion.

Her face immediately lit up with excitement at the mention of shopping. "Yes, let's go shopping and then learn magic!" She cheerfully announced with a first time smile since sitting for the last half hour. It was a level of enthusiasm I hadn't seen from her since we woke up in this world. The atmosphere shifted, transforming from gloomy confusion to vibrant anticipation for the upcoming adventure.

We stood up from the table and began walking towards the front door. Silica called out to the other girls at the table, announcing our plans to go shopping. The heads of the other girls perked up at the mention of shopping, a reaction that seemed universal among girls. One of them replied, "All right, save some clothes for us, silica!"
