Summer Storm Part 2 : Shaky Relationship

Happy Summer Restaurant finally starts operation tonight. Minami and Fujimiya senpai will help as waitress. Saito senpai will help Kazuha-san in kitchen as chef. As a punishment, Takeda senpai and I help as dishwasher. Ten minutes after we opened the restaurant, there were many people who started coming to the restaurant. From start till end, we worked nonstop. All customers look happy after having their meal at Happy Summer Restaurant. With Saito senpai’s help, Kazuha-san can prepare food faster to serve it for customer. Fujimiya senpai and Minami also are quick in delivering the order to the customer. Takeda senpai and I are working hard behind the scenes to wash all the plates and glasses that have been use. We open the restaurant at seven o clock in the evening and we close at ten o clock in night.

“Thank you for tonight everyone! I hope that everyone can give cooperation like tonight for tomorrow.”

Before we went back to our room, Fujimiya senpai suddenly called us.

“Everyone! I have some news to tell you! “

“What is it Eri? I want to go sleep now. Please make it simple,” said Takeda senpai.

“You know, when we work earlier, there are two people who from theatre company come to restaurant. Both are discussing to organize small theatre event here.”

“Really, Eri?”

“Yes, Akemi! But there was one group of performers who suddenly pull away from event. They try to solve the problem. When I heard that, I said to them that we will fill their place of them. They are so happy to hear that.”

“Why are you deciding by yourself, Eri? This kind of things usually need to be discuss properly with members.”

“But Kenji, we can’t let this chance go. Is not this a way of us as theatre club to properly learn how to act.”

“Eri, when this event will be hold?”

“This Thursday, Akemi. Let’s do it guys!”

“So, you expect us will agree with it. But I will not join it. How we can practice when its only three days more before event. I come here to help Kazuha-san. Why I need to join the event?”

“I will ask neesan about this. She surely understands.”

“Eri, as a same club member and your boyfriend, I can’t understand what you are trying to do right now. Who will help Kazuha-san if we join the theatre event?”

“There must be a way. How about we practice at the night and working during the day?”

“Then, we will be exhausted by the end of day. Is that what you want?”

“We can find other people to help neesan.”

“How will you find it?”

“I don’t know! Why are you so against the idea of join the event?! You said before you wanted to join the club because you want to try acting first. Don’t you think this the chance for you, Kenji?”

“Maybe you should cool down first, Eri. You not thinking rationally as usual as you do before.”

“What do you mean by that, Kenji? I am still thinking rationally right now. Don’t you need to open your mind right now?”

“Eri, Kenji, both of you need to stop right now.”

“Akemi, as a club president what is your decision?”

“Wait, Eri! Why you ask me my decision now?”

“Right! We have club president. She will decide based on what we need to do right now.”

“Kenji, not you too.”

“Can everyone stop quarrelling now? Youta and I just keep silent from earlier because all of you are senpai. But it starts to become more uncontrollable now.”

“Look, Eri. We should stop talking about this. I don’t know why you are so determined to join the event. But we need to hold the responsibility as we have come here to help your sister in law. So, tomorrow we will start working as plan.”

“I thought that you would understand me, Kenji. I guess not. We just start dating last year.”

“Eri, what do you mean by that. I can’t let that off.”

“As it means. Fine, I will find the people from theater company earlier tomorrow to decline my proposal. Is that okay, Takeda-san?”

“Why you suddenly change how you address me, Eri?”

“Who are you to addressing me casually?”

“Takeda senpai, let go to sleep first.”

I just can’t stand looking at them quarreling anymore.

“Right, Minami , Eri , I think we should go to sleep too. The time now is already late and tomorrow we will start early.”

“Sure, Akemi. Minami let’s go back to our room. Takeda-san, Arima-kun good night.”

“Goodnight, Arima-kun, Kenji.”

The girls are already back to their room, but Takeda senpai and I still not back yet.

“Arima, if you want to go back to your room, you can go first. I want to spend my time at beach tonight.”

“Alright senpai.”

I decided to let Takeda senpai spend time alone after what happen earlier.

Next morning.

We start operating at eight in the morning. We have been prepare ourselves before we open the restaurant. But I guess there are some differences from yesterday.

“Takeda-san, can you give me that pen please.”

“Alright, Eri not, Fujimiya-san.”

“Saito senpai, did Fujimiya senpai said anything after what happen last night?”

“No. How about you, Arima-kun? Did Kenji have said anything to you?”

“Not really. I think we should just let them be for time being.”

“Yes.”

Then, at eight o clock in the morning, we opened a restaurant. For the first hour, not many customers came. Maybe it is still early. Many customers start to come at ten o clock in the morning. Takeda senpai and Fujimiya senpai still look awkward with each other. Our role is still the same as yesterday. I thought that today would end on a good note.

“Raina, what are you doing here?”

“What? I just came here as a customer. I did not know you became worker here, Minami.”

“Did you knew her, Minami-san ?”

“Yes, kind of Eri senpai.”

“Minami, I want to order a plate of yakisoba and Takoyaki. Make sure deliver it quickly.”

“Minami-san just be patient for now.”

“Alright Eri senpai.”

Takeda senpai and I are busy washing all the dishes.

“Senpai, till when we are punished like this. I thought it only for last night,”

“I am quite surprised too, when I know that I will dish again today.”

“Where is my order?!”

I think I recognized that voice. Is Raina here?

I go to the dining hall, try to know the situation.

“Can you just wait for a while Raina?! We are quite busy now!”

“Miss, can you wait for five minutes. The order will be ready by then.”

“I don’t have time for this. I need to go the airport after this because I need to go back to England.”

“Why don’t you just stay there and never come back here again?”

“What do you say Minami?!”

“I said you should never come back here again.“

“I think I need to teach you a bit lesson.”

“What lesson you will teach me? How to become shameless after done something that completely our own wrong?”

“Minami-san, you should stop it right now. Many customers in restaurants are looking at you right now.”

“Minami, can you switch with me? I will work here for now.”

“Youta? Alright then.”

“Here is your order, Raina.”

“Youta, are you working here too?”

“Yes, but don’t you need to eat quickly because of your flight after this?”

“I forgot about it. I will eat quickly now.”

After ten minutes, Raina was done eating.

“I will go now, Youta! Goodbye!”

“Bye.”

Fujimiya senpai who is watching our conversation asking me, “Is she your girlfriend? She looks happy when she is talking with you.”

“No. She just kind of related to Minami and I.”

“If you say it like that, I will not asking anymore.”

Really there are so many problems since yesterday. How will my summer break end?
