Chapter 21:

The Preventive Measure

Becoming the Principal of Isekai School

"Isn't this too much?" Kyoko asked Eiji at the principal office. The female ninja, wearing her signature bodysuit, fiddled with a shuriken. "I'm looking forward to wearing that uniform again, you know?"

"You can wear it again when the students come." The principal walked to the window carrying a binocular. He couldn't imagine the kunoichi fighting in a short-skirted office dress like that. "As I said, the new candidate's profile says we must be cautious. It was because that warrior died in the middle of a great war."

Eiji used his binocular to check the only tree in the distance. The plant looks so strange in the vast empty land.

Sitting on one of the tree branches, Rae gave a thumbs up. He was ready with his bow and arrows.

"There's nothing wrong with us being on guard." Anneth joined in. She was wearing her usual uniform. "But hopefully, we can have a good talk with this candidate."

"I also hope so." Eiji took his tablet from the table. As usual, he was nervous about this. Especially now that Sienna wasn't there, so he was the one who had to give the first greeting.

The assistant, Aline, and Jon are in a different place because they are non-combatants. Eiji wants to minimize casualties.

The principal stood with his back to his desk, side by side with Kyoko. Meanwhile, Anneth moved to a corner of the room, ready to cast the magic.

And the principal pressed the summon button, triggering a ball of light to appear in the center of the room, then turning into a portal like before.

Suddenly, a golden armored figure dashed from the portal, heading straight for Eiji. Kyoko was about to attack that armored figure with her sword, but it managed to dispel the kunoichi's hand.

Eiji didn't have time to do anything when that warrior's fist flew fast into his face.

Upon opening his eyes, Eiji found a view of the ceiling in the infirmary.

"Ah, you are awake at last." Aline came to the principal, who was lying on the bed. "I have to reconstruct your face for a while."

Remembering what happened to him before he fainted, Eiji quickly got off the bed. "Shit. That candidate."

"I don't hear the commotion anymore." The healer commented. "I heard screams and banging."

Just about to open the door of that room, Eiji stopped and glanced at the pink-haired woman. "You didn't do anything to me when I passed out, did you?"

"Nope." The healer smiled, though her hand twitched.

No use interrogating her now. Eiji chose to leave and ran as fast as he could to the principal office.

"Mr. Sakazaki!" Sienna ran after Eiji from behind. "What exactly happened!?"

"I don't know!"

The principal kept running, and Sienna took off her heels to get close to Eiji's tempo. But as soon as he arrived in front of his office, he didn't immediately rush in.

He had a bad feeling about this. That place is too quiet, even though they just summoned a rampaging warrior.

So, in slow motion, Eiji moved his hand to hold the door knob. However, he hasn't touched that thing yet, and the door collapses, revealing what really happened.

"What is this!?" Sienna widened her eyes at the state of the room.

All the furniture there was completely broken, and pieces scattered around. Not only that, but large cracks also decorated the walls.

The golden armored warrior knelt in the middle of the room, held down by chains made of amber light. That figure could do nothing but breathe like a beast ready to attack and let out a stifled growl from its mouth.

Eiji finds shurikens and arrows in the figure's joints, the parts that weren't protected by metal.

"Holy macaroni with cheese…" Anneth was already in her monster form, pointing her palm at that warrior. She's maintaining those chains. "This warrior's resistance is very strong."

"That was probably one of the craziest fights I've ever had." Kyoko chuckled while sitting in the corner of the room. Her face was full of sweat, and her breathing was heavy. "That motherfucker even went as far as grabbing my weapon and using it against me."

Before long, Rae entered, aiming at that warrior with a rifle. With his unusually serious expression, he hissed. "This warrior is very dangerous, sir."

One of the room's windows fell and shattered, causing the principal to sigh. Again, there are unexpected expenses.

Eiji then walked up to that warrior, even though his heart was pounding like crazy. Yes, he did not feel the blow because he immediately fainted. But still, that moment burned into his brain. What if it happened again, and he couldn't be saved?

"Sir, you better stay away from this bastard." Kyoko got up from the floor. "That would be dangerous…."

The principal raised his hand, motioning for Kyoko to be quiet. Then, that man spoke to the warrior. "In 2023, the isekai genre is still alive. Argentina became the world football champion, and that famous manga about pirates hasn't finished yet."

"Huh?" Anneth was surprised when the warrior put up no more resistance.

"You transmigrated to another world in 2019." Eiji kept walking closer to that figure. "Meanwhile, I was summoned here in 2023."

"But I've been in that other world for tens of years." The warrior's voice is feminine but still firm and deep.

"Maybe time in the other world is quicker, or I just got resurrected years after I died." The principal stopped only one foot in front of that warrior. "Anyway, the war against the Entendor empire you participated in ended 103 years ago."

The warrior gasped. "What did you say?"

Eiji took off the full-face helmet that covered the warrior's head. The armored figure's black hair fell down. "Don't worry. In the end, your side won. People were inspired by you and fought harder. You are their hero, Veronika Ritter, the thousand weapons warrior."

The warrior woman's gray eyes still fixed on the principal.

"And welcome to our school," Eiji added. "I'm the principal here. I will tell you everything. Trust me, we won't do anything bad to you."
