Club Bazaar Begin!

Most of the club members have an excuse to be absent from class during these hours because the club bazaar is being held today. All first-year students are prohibited from entering the club before the club bazaar is held.

So each club has about 2 hours to prepare everything, while most of the students in school are doing "compulsory lessons" today.

This gives the club a lot of freedom to do whatever they want because the school allows it. Some brought kitchenware to school, some even brought sofas to school and some brought food carts. This club bazaar turned into more of a night market for the seasonal festival all of a sudden.

What's different here is that everyone is a student so there are no outside visitors during this time. The whole club bazaar is dominated by cultural clubs because they specialise in festival goods, so they bring so much stuff.

But other clubs are not to be outdone, they think outside the box. This football club even took an old football goal out of the warehouse. When the basketball team, rent some basketball festival free throw equipment.

Even sports clubs can think outside the box, but what do we offer? Console and its games and large monitors provided by Senior Takumi’s budget for clubs.

I returned to the club room where Ayame was to help her find the bugs and fix the game.

"Ayame, have you finished the check? Everything is set up in our booth, screens, consoles and computers."

"Just a moment, take a look at the game, there doesn't seem to be any bugs, but it looks like the story needs some work."

"Alright then, I'll wait at the booth."

"Yes yes yes, I'll catch up later."

After that, I walked to the cupboard where club-related items were stored. Senior Takumi often throws things here, so you could say this is our second storage place.

"Valdo, what are you doing with that cupboard?"

"Just trying to find the old banner that Senior used at the club bazaar last year, I think he still has it somewhere around here."

It was the banner that Takumi Senior used at last year's club bazaar. It was a very simple banner, containing only the club name and a picture of the game. Also our club flag which looks cool. One of the few reasons why I joined the club, hehe.

"Stop laughing like that, it's creepy, now can you get out of the room, I want to concentrate, I have to check all this first, I have to make sure this game goes smoothly later."

I took the banner out of the cupboard and walked out of the club room leaving Ayame alone to do her job. I went back to our booth and put up the banner.

"Hey, Valdo, you're back, what's that?" Kazuki stood up from his chair and looked at the banner I was carrying.

"Can't you see this? It's a banner, you moron, can you help me put up this banner?"

"What do you mean moron? Huh well, let me help. Give me a chair to stand on."

I gave the left banner to Kazuki and brought him a chair to stand on. The booth was not very high, about 2 or 3 metres.

"Valdo, did you bring the tape? We need it to stick this banner up."

I grabbed my backpack, taking out the tape from it. I prepared everything just in case there was an emergency situation at this club bazaar. Something bad can happen anytime and anywhere, so it's better to be prepared.

"Here, I will stand on the other side. Make sure you hold it."

I took another chair and climbed over it to stick the banner on the other side, so it wouldn't fall when we let go.

"Okay cool, good job Kazuki," I said while giving a high five to Kazuki, it reminded me of the old days when we were still in the same football club. I wonder what Kazuki is doing here. Instead of doing his club duties, he decided to help me here.

"Hey, Kazuki, what are you doing here? You have a lot of clubs to deal with, why bother taking care of our little club here?"

"Oh yes, I almost forgot. We've already done all the preparations for our show later."

"No way, you'll be doing a drama show on stage."

"You guessed right, today is a drama show, we will be performing a romantic little theatre show."

"What role did you get? Don't tell me you're a background character who stands silently behind the main character," I said with a slight chuckle.

"Come on, Valdo, I'm not that bad, I have a male lead role to save the princess who is in trouble. I'll defeat all the bandits in the entire kingdom to save her."

"Ey, you're going to be a character like ‘Romeo’ now, ey?"

"You could say that," Kazuki said and after that his phone rang.

He picked up his phone and looked at the notifications, then said, "Valdo, I've got some business with drama club, so I'll go first."

"Thanks for the help, mate, I hope your show doesn't turn out to be a bad one, and don't mess it up. Remember!"

Kazuki also left our booth while laughing at my words by waving his hand.

Finally peace has been achieved again, I still wonder how everyone like Fuyuki or Konohana, or even Ayame is doing. She's still busy in the club room doing whatever she can do for the club. Besides, Senior Takumi still hasn't replied to our messages in the group chat. Should I contact him?

"Valdo, don't slack off!" Ayame yelled at me.

"Ah Ayame, have you finished checking our visual novel? Anything wrong?"

She put her laptop on the table and opened it to show me the game we had been working on for whole week.

"Finally finished, I found that everything is fine but some parts are practically broken, because some options, when you click on it, it doesn't show anything. So I left it alone, because I don't understand much about this programming,” She said while showing some scenes that had choices.

"What can we do?, Senior Takumi still hasn't replied to our group chat. Should we contact him?" I said while showing the group chat.

"Just call him, we only have ten minutes left before the bazaar starts," She said, looking at her watch.

So I decided to call Senior Takumi, but he still didn't answer the call. So I tried again, still no answer and once again, I finally got the answer.

"Hello? This is Takumi speaking", he said while coughing.

“Senior Takumi, are you alright? You sound like someone who need healing potion.”

"Haha, what a good joke you have, no, I can't go to school either, I'm currently lying in bed and helplessly waiting for someone to revive me up."

"You're doing well senior, don't force yourself, leave everything to us"

Ayame interrupted me and said, "don't forget to say that why did Senior give a choice that doesn't open up any scene/dialog?"

"Oh yes senior, there are some bugs here, you left some options blank, can you tell us how to fix it?"

"No, that was on purpose, I did it so that you can enter the next part of the story, you know that the 3rd year students will be leaving the club later this year?"

"Yes, Senior"

"So do your best for today, I don't know if I'll be able to attend school this week, but please handle all these issues while I'm not there."

"Okay, senior, I understand, get well soon, senior"

"Don't worry, Valdo, I have a good immune system to fight this dirty debuff"

I hung up the phone. Ayame said, "So, Senior didn't come to school today?"

"He was sick today, so he left everything to us to handle."

"I guess you'll also be presenting about the game later on stage."

“Me? Why me? How about you?”

"I also still have matters at other clubs, and also you only have one club to deal with, so it doesn't matter if you do it."

"What's wrong? I thought you were just a member of the student council and this club?"

And the bell for the club bazaar was rung. I hope everything goes smoothly without a hitch, especially the show.
