Ascension into fake sky

I left the portal. Caught up in the sky, the buildings around were made of pure marble and they stood in fluffy skies. I opened my white wings and began to soar along the street, but it was unusual empty. Where are all peoples. I looked around but no one was near, only empty buildings the road and my own shadow. I flew to the center, but there was no one there either. I flew up to the main staircase leading straight to the throne palace. Trying to drive anxiety, I thought. Who even came up with the idea of building staircase in the sky. I slowly walked up the stairs. Pushed the gate slowly and entered the throne room, there were columns of marble around, and in the middle there was a red carpet leading straight to the throne.

And our eyes met. My father sat on the throne and I barely recognized him: His eyes were empty. Once being a strong warrior, he turned into an old decrepit man. And saliva came out of his mouth. He shouted:

"They promised me... They promised!!! I need to bring six more of them... Six more of them!!! And you have them."- He was completely crazy, I pointed my bow at him and whistle come. At the moment of his crown was lit up and the inhabitants of the bright kingdom poured out of it. But something weird was about them. One of them took the shot and continue come to me, without any reaction. And they threw on me. And then my partner jumped out of my shadow.

This situation reminded me of bad memories, of that mirror projection, I jumped in impulse and release a huge number of swords. Aurelia created barrier around us:

"You early, hun."-Said Aurelia with satisfied smile.

"There is no reason in sneaking on him, he is in crazy state and I don't think that he would notice."-I shrugged and send swords at unkillable enemies.

"You never admit your mistakes."- she pouted. Repelling them with a barried.

"What are these creatures, and why are our attacks on them is so ineffective."- I tried to divert the subject.

"These are the former residents of this city. But something is wrong with them, I think it's because of the crown."- She frowned even more, allowing me to get off topic. She stopped time and I made a cut towards the crown. But at the moment when she started time, right before the blow and during it, nothing happened to the crown, but the king himself flew off and hit back wall. We used our barried abilities and pushed away all the former residents of the city. But they stood up after their king.

"Can you apply this?"-Asked Aurelia. 

"With great pleasure, my Mrs."-I teased her and held out my hand. The dragon ring gave me all of its abilities and I imagined how dark fire covered them all. Basically, turning them all to ashes except the king.

"Even with acquired powers, this gonna be a very difficult fight."-Stated Aurelia. I looked at her, checking if she really alright. Seeing and feeling nothing out of the ordinary of her, i calmed down a bit.

"Don't worry about me, as I said, I do not have such close feelings for him, even more after what he did to his own people. I though of him as a good king... But now..."- And he rushed at full speed to us breaking through both of our barriers. I barely had the speed to block his strike with a sword. 

"SO he has durability, speed and strength. And almost forgot most important , high magic resistance."-I shook my head:

"Why can't we get at least one normal ordinary enemy."- Aurelia smiled:

"But it wouldn't be so fun."-she said reflecting the attack. I shuddered:

"At such moments you remind me our teacher."- She tried to make sinister smile as our master, but it turned out to be cute.

You might wonder why we are so calm when we fight such a dangerous opponent, it's because his attack are predictable. But of course underestimating the enemies. He knocked us down and lifted the floor to heaven forming a circle in the open sky. He summoned his wings and we followed. But in the battle in the sky, he was much more experienced. And easily dodged all our attacks. I tried to create a cage from the shadow, but he managed to fly out and counter attack with he staff formed in his hand. Aurelia stopped time and let me dodge it. I created the columns and she used threads and string to create traps. He fell in it and I set him on fire, again. Aurelia got a mirror and I created mirrors around him too. She shoot petrification in my shadow mirrors and they intensified them, send in sky ruler. And he was petrified. But not for long, his magical resist is to strong. I flew up to him and tried to take off the crown, but I realized that she already grow in his head. I quickly created distance. He escaped from all our traps and looked at us with lifeless eyes. And came back to us, I stopped him with blood control ability, trying to separate him and Aurelia started to create melody. It started to working. But he had too much energy left and escaped. in the city , we followed him but he started to knock buildings on us. He easily flew through buildings. But thanks to time stop ability of Aurelia we easily keep him in our field of view, I again stopped him with blood control, concentration on the wings. He fell, but he ran into the nearest building. We followed him, even though the building was white and light, it caused some kind of unpleasant feeling. Something moved on our left, but Aurelia stopped time. I put shadow sword right in front of him and he stumbled.

We started to separate him from the crown again. It was like another living being. Slowly, but we managed to pull it off. I used concentrated dark fire on it again, and it melted. Maybe after disconnection from the carrier, it loose defensive abilities.  And then I heard Aurelia's shocked voice:

"Yo, there is no ring on his finger."- She looked at me in disbelief...
