Chapter 33:

Shadow moon sword staff

Hacker Class

Alden stumbled as he rushed to the furnace, he had 14% Energy within him and 10% would be expended when creating the weapon. Alden gathered some moon metal, his hands working as hurriedly as he could. He took it and brought it to the furnace.

"Do I just place it in now..."Alden wondered as he threw it into the furnace. The metal, however, melted in a few seconds.

"Maybe I have to activate my [BLACKSMITH] ability first." Alden thought. He activated the ability and waited. Alden watched the words manifest on the translucent screen before him.

[BLACKSMITH(lv3) ACTIVATED]

[-10 ENERGY]

[ADD YOUR MATERIALS TO THE FURNACE]

Alden removed something from his core. It was the beast core of the shadow wolf boss. It was a tennis ball-sized marble-like object, and Alden had decided it would best be used to forge a weapon. Being the core of a Dungeon Boss, Alden expected it to be powerful.

Alden hesitantly placed the core in the fire but as soon as he did, a blue light shone from the fire. The 2nd material he brought forth was the moon metal which was abundant in that dungeon. Alden added that into the fire and finally, he threw his staff in. His staff was a durable, high-quality one, one that Alden had spent quite a buck to attain. Thus Alden was sure that if he added it, the weapon he got would be of a high grade.

WHAT DOES THE USER WISH TO CRAFT WITH THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS:

SHADOW WOLF BOSS BEAST CORE

MOON METAL

HIGHLY DURABLE STAFF

Alden thought deeply about his answer but soon made up his mind, he knew what he wanted. A bright blue glow emanated from the materials, the light momentarily blinding Alden. Alden watched from behind his palm, as he waited for the crafting process to end. A single word sat on the screen before Alden:

[CRAFTING...]

Alden heard a massive explosion far in the distance. Alden spun around, his eyes widening in realization. The Tank Boss was coming. Alden shot a worried look at the furnace and returned his gaze to watch for the monster. He had no time. In a few minutes, no seconds...he would be dead. That is if that weapon never formed.

~~~
Mar Kirr's massive figure could be seen taking massive leaps, each of which covered a great distance. Each leap caused shockwaves to form and craters could be found in the spots which he jumped from and from the spots on which he landed.
Soon enough, he reached the furnace.
Mar Kirr walked into the space, and he searched for where that troublesome human hid. He was nowhere to be found. He was nowhere near the furnace, maybe he was hidden in some dark building. The pest had been able to hide from Mar Kirr somehow, and Mar Kirr suspected he had some sort of artifact or skill that helped him do so. Those little tricks, however, would soon end.
"Come out, now! Hiding is useless." The tank bellowed.
"I agree," A voice said. Alden walked out from behind the mountain of metal. "I cannot hide forever. So, before I die of starvation or dehydration, I should just kill you." Alden had in his hand, his dagger.
"Hahaha!" The tank chuckled, clearly amused. "That is right! It is wise of you to stop these tricks of yours!"
Alden tightened his hold around his dagger and shot toward the Tank Boss. He agilely ducked and twisted to avoid attacks before swinging his dagger toward the abdomen of Mar Kirr, but Mar Kirr swung his fist like a hammer, Mar Kirr's fist hit down on his back with so much force that he began to cough blood, and he was sure he nearly fainted from the attack.
Alden muttered something, which was inaudible due to his weak voice.
"What?" The tank questioned.
"I didn't...say anything," Alden coughed up some more blood before continuing. "About stopping...my tricks."
By the Tank realized what was happening, it was far too late. Mar Kirr felt his impenetrable armor break, as some powerful weapon was driven through his back. He could just stand there in shock, as he watched the blade of that weapon poke through his back and out of the front of his body.
"W-What..." Mar Kirr stuttered. "How?"
He fell to a single knee, the life already leaving his body. Such an injury was fatal to him, he would die.
"I don't know," Alden muttered, as he struggled to get up. He stumbled to walk behind Mar Kirr, and he pulled out his blade. "I guess I'm just damn lucky."
"Don't think you've won. You've not even begun to fathom our power...master's power," Mar Kirr spat. "Your world will fall, as will you."
"As long as I die with power, I don't care," Alden said coldly. He glanced at the sword staff. It was a half-staff, with one side having a long blade. It was like a short spear with a long blade. The blade was lined with blue glowing designs, which was probably from the moon energy contained in the sword. Grey smoke surrounded the weapon and that helped keep the weapon unsighted. The weapon had a camouflage ability and the fact that it was made of moon metal meant it was indestructible. At least for now.
Alden cast one last glance at the monster before him. "You sought knowledge your whole life but brought about your end due to your ignorance."
The tank scoffed and said, "I'm more than honored to die under the banner of my Master."
"Then die a happy death," Alden said, he did not wait for a reply. He just swung his sword staff, quickening the Dungeon Boss's already impending death.
Alden fell backward, unto the ground.
"I did it!" Alden mumbled, a smile on his face. "I finally cleared this dungeon!"
Alden's gaze lifted to stare at the red sky as he admired its beauty. Now, he could finally fully enjoy the view in peace.
