Their fight continues with more intense situations after Alet is able to use her peak. There are many ways for a fighter to activate their peak. To achieve this powerful state, a fighter must have a strong mind and have the spirit to stand inside combat. Many other fighters are unable to activate peak because they are quitting to be a fighter. Thanks to the peak, Alet is able to throw more powerful and complex spells that she never was able to cast before.

“Alet is so powerful, I’m afraid she is consumed by her own peak. I should keep my eyes on her.” Io looks at Alet worried.

“Let’s try this.” Fiona aims her rifle toward Alet.

Alet notices Fiona about to fire her rifle with her cold eyes. After Fiona launched two shots at the same time, she couldn't believe that a buzzer went off and she was already sitting on the ground.

“What is that speed? But she never moved her position. That must be a spell, the invisible one.” Fiona stands up.

“Flyn! I’m not sure what hit me, but be careful! Looks like Alet has a spell that can’t be seen.” Says Fiona as she turn back her focus to the field.

“Alright, my eyes are peeled.” Answer Flyn.

After they fight back, Fiona feels a sudden pain on her shoulder.

“I’m hit! This… Flyn it’s a wind spell. Try to cut it out.” Fiona realized after she remembered about what kind of spell that Caplas are able to cast.

“Alright, here it goes!” Flyn swung his sword and created a strong sharp wind like before.

Unlike Alet’s spell, Flyn’s wind has a color yellow on it. This color is created from a magical stone that is used to craft his sword blade. After knowing they can’t easily fight them like before, Flyn starts to move very fast and drag his sword on the ground to create a smoke. While Fiona stands inside it and ready to shoot her target.

“This combo… I’m going in!” Shout Io toward Alet.

Io charges toward the smoke but he keeps getting slash damage from Flyn. While he tries to knock Fiona for her last life point, the cold eyes appear in front of him and a rifle shot can be heard. Io falls backward and loses his first life point.

“Nice shot!” Says Flyn.

Little that they know, Alet already cast a summoning spell. She casts a wind bomb and directs it to the center where Fiona stands. After a while, a powerful blast of wind appears and all Flyn’s smoke is gone. Fiona and Flyn also disappear from the field, they are already thrown high up in the air. Both of them are struggling to keep their balance, but they can’t do much since they will drop out from the arena. Before they hit the ground, a net team already deployed a giant net right where they were about to land. After the fall to the net, a buzzer went off.

“What a fight! That powerful force from Alet knocks them out!” Shout the announcer.

“Looks like the Angkara wins again!” The crowd went off as the announcer said about the Angkara’s victory.

After they head back to the changing room, Io feels happy about their victory but Alet doesn’t show any expression. Her face is more serious than Io in his peak.

“Alet? What’s wrong?” Asked Io as they walked toward the exit.

“Nothing, I feel so powerful now. Can’t wait for our last match in this tournament.” She answered with a monotone voice.

“Haha yeah, looks like we really make a good partner after all.”

Alet answers it with just a smile. Io feels something is not right. Her eyes are still glowing. That means that she is still inside her peak. Io's phone rings, Flyn is calling him.

“Hello.” Says Io.

“Ah hello hello, congratulations for your victory! How about we celebrate this?”.

“That sounds good. Where are we going to celebrate it?”.

“How about a sushi restaurant near your apartment? I don’t want you guys tired for the next match.”.

“Wait, you know that I’m allergic to seafood right?”.

“Yes I do. Don’t worry though, they also sell other than seafood.”.

“Okay then, we will meet there.”.

Soon they hop on Io’s motorcycle and ride back home.

“Umm… Io, can you drop me off at the apartment?” Alet asked.

“Why? Aren’t we going to celebrate this victory with Flyn and Fiona?”.

“Yes but, I want to stay at the apartment for now.”.

“Heeee… really. You are going to miss the fun.”.

“Just drop me will you?” Her voice rose a little.

“--Fine, fine. I will drop you off.” Io have no choice but to drop Alet off.

The double door opens and the smell of delicious food enters Io’s nose.

“Hey, there he is!” Flyn stand up and wave at Io.

“Where is Alet?” Asked Fiona.

“She- well I don’t know. Let's order first, we will discuss this later.” Io’s ears drop down.

“Okay then.”.

After ordering some food and drink they start to eat.

“Hey… Uh… About Alet…” Io break the silence.

“Uh huh, what happened to her?” Says Fiona.

“She… After she activated her peak, she became… I don’t know… cold?” Io sound nervous.

“I see, just give her sometimes. After a soul is cleansed, this type of thing always happens. Pretend it like a newborn baby but well, they are grown up.” Explain Fiona.

“I see, let's hope it’s true. What about frenzy? Is there any sign of it in the early stages?” Asked Io.

“Hmmm… I think it’s not one. Just like Fiona said earlier. But if there are any behavioral changes… Might be though.”.

“Flyn! Stop scaring him. Sign… Listen Io, if there is something wrong with her, say she got that frenzy. I’m afraid we can’t help you. The only answer is in your next match with Reine.”.

“What!? You can’t be serious right? That match is one week from today. What can I do in case she gets into a frenzy?” Io started to panic.

“The only way is to bring you two to the edge of the afterlife. Both of you have to get out of there before the reaper eats you.” Explain Fiona.

“Yes, Fiona is right. We know that the one who is capable of doing that is Reine herself. Should have to say this, but the one that controls the reaper is you.” Adds Flyn.

“That can’t be true. If me and Alet are inside that afterlife edge, who will summon the reaper? He only appears when I’m outside the realm.”.

“That is true, but remember. The reaper will eat anything inside that realm including us the immortals. If our soul enters that realm, he will still eat it and bring us to the afterlife. Just to remind you that if he opens up his mouth, not a single soul can escape it.” Fiona explains again.

“My advice, try to minimize your training. Alet can get frenzy anytime. The only way to prevent that is to avoid any combat related activities.” Says Flyn.

Io can’t believe what he heard. Of course he trusts them. This afterlife thing is the unknown technique that no race can replicate.

“Hey, don’t be sad. Just hold it for a week. I believe that you guys can figure it out.” Fiona grabs Io’s hand.

“Thanks guys. I will try to prevent Alet from touching the dueling field.” Io smiles.

“No problem! Just call us if you need anything. Hey, the food is getting cold. Let's continue our celebration.” Flyn grabs his chopsticks.

They continue to eat and share about their past experience during the beast outbreak. After about an hour they finally head back home. When Io arrived at his apartment, he found Alet already asleep. He pulls up her blanket and heads for a shower.

“No more training. I have to do it, this is for her own good.” Says Io inside his head while taking a shower.
