Little did I know what I unleashed. Her typing notification appeared, disappeared, then appeared again after a couple minutes. I thought she’d chickened out, but that was far from the truth.

dropsgum: Okay i’m not unreasonable so i’ll say that i could see that you clearly gave some semblance of a shit about character writing but god damn it why cant you use that towards something constructive instead of being a complete HATER ୧((#Φ益Φ#))୨
My fingers froze. What the hell…? Though my own thoughts backed up in the logic station that was my brain, dropsgum went on and on about every little part of my review. She ripped it to shreds, not unlike how I judged her own work. No, not like that—at least my own critique had substance. Yes, it had thought, hard work, it was different!
Different. Completely, utterly not like this. Absolutely…
Who the hell did she think she was?

People clearly like my characters anyways cause I haven’t been rejected in ages!! when you’re already combing through so many characters for a hobby project its about who your character is plus if they’re fun not about what happened to them!

TowersFall: a good personality, a DETAILED personality needs a good backstory to accompany it!

TowersFall: okay whatever maybe i have character preferences but i have some wips that ive been working on to branch out

I closed the DM window and ignored the next message she sent—I needed relief from the headache that pounded at my skull. It was obvious she had a different (and less correct) philosophy on RP, but begrudgingly, the details of her counter critique did betray some love for character building. My frustration prevented me from dwelling on it too much without seeing red, though, so I gave it a rest for now.
My pillow became the outlet for my frustrations. All I could do was groan and fall back into my bed as I buried my face into it. Stupid, stupid…she was stupid, and that was the end of it. Even though it wasn’t the worst conversation…she’s still not the amazing character building expert she tried to pass herself off as!
Wait, or was it me doing that? Argh, she wormed all these ideas into my head that I couldn’t shake off. I laid there in semi-defeat, until I got up to turn off my PC and get ready for bed. After all, tomorrow was the day of our fated battle, and I needed a new strategy if I was going to prove my point once and for all.
