Sharing secrets

Brenda's POV:
 I was thinking about many things when I saw myself in a different room from my current one. I instantly recognized it as my past life room from its miserable state "******! Didn't I ask you to skip school today and cook for your sister? You even came at nighttime! You knew I had an appointment-"  All the words she said were familiar, and since it was just a nightmare I couldn't change any event. That day, my stepmother had an appointment and asked me to stay home and cook so her daughter won't be hungry after coming from school... But I promised Gin that I will go with him after school to hunt some fireflies in the woods nearby under his parents' observation. 
 I was always beaten and treated badly whenever Dad wasn't around, but at a later time, he no longer cared to save me from their hands. I was on the verge of committing suicide when someone gave me a reason to live.
 "So you are just going to let the bad guys celebrate your death?" I looked at the boy who was around my age blankly when he knocked my forehead with his knuckle gently "If you want to die I won't stop you. But are you sure you don't mind letting those who hurt you live freely without atoning their sins?" It wasn't normal for a kid to say such words with that neutral face, but I knew someone else who used to say that too and he always added something else "It will be painful either way so why not do some damage instead of crying and praying silently." I looked shocked at him "Gin?" He looked at me dumbfounded "You know me?" "Are you really Gin?" He shrugged his shoulders "I am not. I am Genji and my parents call me Nick or Gin" I looked confused at the boy "Gin is understandable but why Nick?" "None of your business. So what did you decide? Ending your story miserably or fighting to make it a better one? Either way, I'm going to call for help, but I want you to make your decision first. Because if you have no reason to live, nobody has the right to force you to live." It was my first time meeting a scheming kid with those cold features... But that was only for that previous life... I always met that person in my previous life but he never gained his memory like I always do, so I decided to get to know him more. And again, I fell in love with him.
 I got more memories from the past I don't remember living... 'So I really lived more than two lives...' Even tho I got reincarnated, there was something unchanged no matter whose daughter I was: My bright orange eyes that looked like a blazing sun... And those eyes were the source of many troubles, especially in my last previous life. And I always looked for someone called Gin who I knew that it was him with the passing time. "You'll never get to be together." Everything became dark suddenly and the same girl who tried to drown me appeared in front of me "You know it very well. Whenever you find him one of you will die."  as the voice disappeared, Memories I never had about someone dear to me dying surged all of a sudden terrifying me... 
 The horror of my worst nightmares suffocated me till I heard a familiar voice calling me "Brenda wake up!" Opening my eyes, I found Gin doing his best to wake me from my nightmare... Gin was here and alive... I couldn't help but hug him tightly sobbing at the horror I'd been through moments ago.
Genji's POV:
 I was startled by the voice only to find Brenda crying in her sleep. I slowly moved her trying to wake her up when I heard her muttering "I'm sorry... Gin I'm so sorry!" I shook Brenda more forcefully and she dag her nails in my arms terrified "Brenda! It's me Gin!" She looked around with a terrified look in her eyes till she realized she was in her room and I was in front of her. Without any warning, she jumped on me hugging me tightly.

 After she calmed down and let go, I sat in bed next to her "Brenda, have you seen a nightmare? You were apologizing to someone hundreds of times. Are you okay?"   She replied staring at the blank space "A flashback from the past? Yeah, it was a terrible nightmare..." Since I came here I never saw Brenda as more than a cheerful strong girl, so it tore my heart to see her in that miserable shape. "Brenda, if you wanna tell me anything I'm hearing it all." She laughed sarcastically "Wouldn't you laugh at me if I said I came from a world that had giant buildings and even developed transportation like cars and air plains?" I chuckled at her tone "Actually I know about it." She looked confused at me before shouting "Gin! Could it be that you lived in a different world and got reincarnated too?" 

I felt bad about the sparkling hope she had in her eyes "Actually, I was summoned here without going through death... So you were reincarnated?" She looked at me and the hope she had suddenly dimmed as she murmured "I already knew it... It was impossible to break it that easily..." "Brenda? What are you talking about? What did you already know?" She shook her head and chuckled mischievously as if those eyes filled with despair never showed up "I already knew that you didn't lose your memories!" I was flabbergasted about her statement when she explained "Did you forget that you shouted someone's name when you saw me for the first time thinking I was them? Also, you are always cautious with what you tell us and never show us blind trust and those aren't any normal kid actions so you aren't just 6 years old as you look like. You even hid your phone somewhere I can't find whenever I want to spy." I felt embarrassed after hearing all of this... So Brenda knew it all along while I thought I was a good actor... I might be good at writing but acting isn't for me.  "Brenda, are you the only one who knew it all along?" "Yeah, Mom thinks that you are traumatized because of what you've been through. But you can't hide it from Dad and his demon. They are so sharp that it's almost like they have that lie detector we see in the police movies." I shivered just imagining how scary that half-demon can be. "So you remember your past life?"  

 Brenda looked sad as she started narrating her story "My father was drunk one day and made a mistake with a lady getting her pregnant. My mother died when she gave me birth and that lady came to Dad asking him for marriage and taking responsibility for the child. In the beginning, I was fine since Dad defended me from their abuse cause he loved Mom and I was her daughter and a copy of her up to what I heard, but later he no longer cared for me saying he is tired of our meaningless daily quarrel. Whether it was home or school, I was always abused by my half-sister and stepmother to the point I thought of reuniting with my mother by throwing myself off a bridge. Yet one day, I met someone that changed everything. At the start, he gave me a reason to live for, then became my knight in shining armor who protected me at school where I was bullied because of my-" *cough*. Brenda suddenly coughed forcefully making me worry "Brenda are you okay?" "It's just a side effect of what happened earlier... don't worry."
