Ending and New Beginning (Season 1 Finale)

With Akira and Haruto looking after our booth, I left the booth while handing over the responsibility to the new kid who was busy playing games. I gave them some pointers if anyone asked about the club and what to say if anyone asked about the flyer.

I arrived backstage where all the clubs were giving away what they had achieved during their time at the club, they were also showing off the skills they had gained from the club.

"Hello Valdo, how is your stand doing?"

"As usual, some people came and some people left, it wasn't too crowded, how was the drama club's booth?"

"A lot of people who come ask that Ryan's idol is in this club, I've told them many times that he's in the dancing and singing club. I also hate that they always talk about male idol. I'm also obviously good-looking, I'm also kind, and I have a good body."

We fist bump, after that, the other drama club members also came on stage along with our Romeo today, Kazuki.

The play started with a speech from the narrator, a loud applause from the audience including the teachers sitting in the front seats of the stage.

Throughout the play, there was laughter from the audience watching their play, I didn't expect that this play was a comedy play that was supposed to be romantic but serious.

It seems that Kazuki started to embarrass himself with this skit more than I expected, but that's okay, as long as they enjoyed it.

After a while, the show came to an end. The entire cast came on stage and bowed to thank the audience. They cheerfully left the stage. Kazuki also met me after that.

"Now it's your turn Valdo, do your best even if you're alone, I'm supporting you backstage. Don't embarrass me!"

"Don't just say that, I won't mess up, so don't worry, everything will be resolved especially since I'm mentally and physically prepared."

"Now, give me your hand again, I'll return what you gave me before."

"It's okay, bro, I'll do it!"

We fist bump again, and I went up on stage with my laptop, while the staff taking care of the stage displayed the slides that Senior Takumi had prepared.

I looked at the crowd in front of the stage, I felt nervous in front of this large crowd, I looked down the stage.

I saw Ayame and Kazuki standing there. Ayame moved her mouth to identify she was saying something and smiled after that. Then Ayame left.

I took a deep breath and exhaled, then started the presentation about our visual novel.

I just followed Senior Takumi's instructions recorded in the previous message, although the message was small, it was enough to help me prepare what I was going to talk about on stage.

A few moments have passed while I explained the storyline of our current visual novel. I moved on to the next slide which introduced each of the main characters in the visual novel. Then I explained their traits and characteristics as well as their likes and dislikes.

I also explained the background and current state of the visual novel. Then I showed Senior Takumi's future plans, what our club will do in the future. With this, I ended my presentation with a recruitment poster for the game development club.

The audience looked confused, but some people started clapping and the whole audience clapped for me. I felt relieved that I had finished and I went backstage while thinking about what Ayame had said.

'I believe you can, so do your best,' she said but I didn't hear her voice, but I could understand what she said.

When I came out from backstage. Ayame walked towards me, I gave her my fist, and unexpectedly she returned it with a fist bump like Kazuki did.

"You can do it too, I'll definitely watch you sing, so give it your best."

"Thank you for the support."

After Ayame took the stage, I quickly made my way to the front of the stage to watch her perform.

"I made this song as an offering to all the clubs that are here in their efforts to give their best for this event.”

Ayame started singing about how everything started from the preparation of this event, how hard we worked to make this event a success until today and the message of this event.

The audience stood up and applauded loudly. I didn't expect Ayame to sing so well, although she was a bit rude to someone. However, her outfit looked appropriate although I didn't want to admit that she resembled the main character in the visual novel I wrote.

Ayame waved to the audience. Ayame looked at me and smiled while waving her hand.

I waved back.

After that, Ayame stepped off the stage and the event closed with a final bell. Many clubs then cleared up their booths, the staff also cleared up the rubbish scattered near the stage and the cooking club distributed food to other clubs.

The event was a great success, we will probably get some new club members later. But I know that Haruto and Akira will be joining the club.

By the way, where is Ayame? I don't see her anywhere around the school.

I immediately looked for Ayame around the school and asked some passers-by. They didn't see Ayame anywhere. I tried calling her but there was no answer.

Don't tell me that he would do something dangerous during a big event like this. There was only one answer, which was on the roof, so I hurried up the stairs to the roof.

I opened the roof door and saw Ayame standing on the edge of the roof again.

"Ayame, why are you doing this again?"

"Valdo, what do you mean? I was just enjoying the view this evening, I felt all the fun that happened today. I can't believe that if you hadn't come that day, I wouldn't be here."

"Don't say that, I really enjoyed you singing on stage, you sang that song beautifully."

"I just want to know, and also why did you join our club, our club is nothing compared to other clubs?"

"Ayame, by the way do you have a boyfriend?"

"Haha, what kind of silly question is that? Don't tell me you're going to confess to me now?"

"Don't tease me like that, just answer my question first."

She put her finger to my mouth and said, "before you say it, let's start as friends first. I want to get to know you more before I decide."
