Recruitment and Promotion

As the afternoon wore on, the club bazaar became more and more crowded. Not only grade 1 students, grade 2 and 3 students also participated. Even though they were late to join the club as they only had 1 more year before they were forced out, they participated in this activity to enjoy the bazaar.

But unexpectedly, the atmosphere of the bazaar was like that of a spring or new year festival. Only, it was in the heat of the day and it was held at a school that normally held teaching and learning activities.

It was a refreshing break from the almost daily routine of going to school, studying, chatting with friends, doing club activities and doing classroom cleaning every day.

Our booth was also quite crowded, although not as crowded as other booths that provided something interesting. We only provided game demos, so it felt more like a place to borrow game consoles than a booth.

Some people also said that they were interested in participating in game creation and game-related activities such as creating tutorials, guides, and even wanting to become game content creators with us. I'm not entirely sure about that either, but I'm fine with it as long as it's game-related.

Senior also never told us to do this and that. They prefer us to interact with each other, and support each other. That's my senior, his vision and mission are very noble, yet people think that our club is a waste of time.

"Excuse me senior, is the booth still open?" One of the junior group asked me while looking around our booth.

"Good afternoon, Junior, yes we are still open, you can scan the flyer through the barcode on the screen," I replied while pointing to the barcode on the screen.

"If you have any questions, please ask a senior," I said.

"Senior, can I play a game? I can't wait to play the new game made by the students," said Junior, who was sitting in front of the game console.

"Oh please, go ahead, this game is still in demo form due to technical issues. So there are only a few endings." I told them about the game we were working on.

"Oh by the way, I'm Akira," Akira shook my hand.

Haruto, who was sitting in front of the console, raised his hand and said, "I'm Haruto, nice to meet you!"

"Hello, you two, I'm Valdo, you can call me Valdo, but I'm fine with Senior Valdo," I smiled.

“Akira, come here, check this game out, the heroine looks cute right?”

"Hm I don't like long black-haired girls, because she has himedere, she'll probably laugh," Haruto said, "oh hohohoho," his gimmick being the iconic laugh of a princess in anime. "Something like that."

"No, Haruto, I feel like she's a sadistic girl who bullies the main character every time they meet," Akira assured Haruto.

"Can you guys stop talking about embarrassing things, I know you're weebs but please stop talking about cringe things," I coaxed them.

“I am sorry senior, but senior also know that type of girl like that right, dere-dere things you know?” Haruto said.

"I know the types of dere, but the female lead is most likely the one you guys talked about a while ago, but without the laugh like an anime princess."

“This is such an interesting game, how many endings does it have?”

"For now there are only 2 endings, 1 for the main heroine which is a happy ending and the other is a neutral ending, but we plan to develop the ending options into a more complex game, maybe there will be 5 or 8 more endings, we also don't add stories for each love interest."

"Is it hard for a senior to make such a complicated game?"

"Nothing is difficult, remember that we have the power of friendship, and we need more friends to join our club to make our plan work. That's the reason we opened the booth here, to recruit more friends and empower our power of friendship."

"What nonsense is this, you're talking to our junior," Ayame came to our booth still in the same outfit as before.

"Hello Senior, I'm Haruto and this is Akira, nice to meet you," Haruto stood up from his chair and extended his hand.

"Come on, Valdo just say it, I hope you try recruiting them instead of doing nothing all the time," Ayame said to me.

Damn, Ayame is completely ignoring them, I can feel the damage to my heart.

"Yes, I'm trying to recruit them to our club, we also have a lot of visitors, see the visitor list here," I gave the visitor list.

"I also forgot to mention, why are you still wearing that white dress? You haven't performed yet?" I'm curious about the dress.

"Eh shut up, these are my clothes, why are you so insistent?" Ayame retorted to me.

"Alright alright, chill out, so what about the schedule, is there one?"

"Yes, our club will perform on stage after the drama club, so you can watch the drama while waiting."

"What about our booth, are we just going to leave our booth? By the way, you also have business with your other club, isn't it close to our schedule?"

"Unfortunately it's close, the singing club will perform after the game club presentation. So I can't help."

“So what are we gonna do?”

Ayame and I saw two of our juniors who were sitting down while playing games on the console.

"Hey guys, can I ask you a favour?" Valdo said.

"No, I don't want to," Haruto continued playing the game.

"Junior, can you help us?"

"Yes, seniors, we can help you with anything you want," the two juniors spontaneously replied.

"Huh, so they only respond to women, such a simp," I said while folding my arms.

"Look, they can look after our booth while we're not here, so how about it?"

"Whatever, I also have to practice first for a while."

"Alright then, I'm just here to have a look around, it seems like things are going well especially since the person guarding the booth is a no life person," Ayame chuckled while covering her mouth slightly.

"Hah I don't have a life either, so you go now, get ready," I shooed her away from the booth.
