The start of second year of high school

The second year of high school had begun and my friend group had been disbanded because we were in different classes now. I had so many new friends ever since high school had begun and now a lot of them were in another class which didn't actually bother me that much but what did bother me was Ai Aizawa was not in my class anymore. 

Ai and me had gotten really close to each other in the first year of high school and we had hoped to be together in the second year too but unfortunately that didn't happen. 

I went to school with curiosity. I was curious to know who was in my class and who wasn't. 

Aoi Ando greeted me the moment I stepped into the class after the assembly. I was glad to see someone I knew but I still wasn't satisfied. I went to sit on my seat and after a while Kaoru showed up too. I was so happy to see her. 

Seiko Jibiki showed up after Kaoru and I was relieved there were so many people I knew in my class. Seiko sat on the desk next to Aoi's and Kaoru sat next to mine. 

The class began and our homeroom teacher introduced herself and told us about the subject she was going to teach us. 

"It's so weird that Ai isn't in our class," I said at lunch. 

"It's actually really good. I don't like Ai and her friends at all," Seiko said, rolling her eyes. 

"What?! Why?!," I asked, shocked. 

"I don't know. They're just very arrogant. They think they're very cool but in real life, they're just bitches," she said. 

"I don't think so. They're all actually really good people," I said. 

"Oh shut up, Tamako. You don't know a single thing about people," she said, rolling her eyes again. 

I rolled my eyes at her too. She was no one to talk. Who does she think she is?! She's a spoiled brat who only brags about her dad who works in Dubai. 

Seiko has long brown hair and skin that has mild acne on it. She acts all high and mighty but actually she has no sense at all. 

"Guys, stop! They're not even in our class. We don't need to talk about them!," Kaoru said when she saw me roll my eyes. 

Kaoru wears glasses. She has long black hair with bangs. She's tanned, tall and pretty. 

"Really, Kaoru? You're gonna defend Ai and the others now?," Aoi said to Kaoru, disgusted. 

Now let me tell you something. Aoi is an ass kisser! She always clings to Seiko and does whatever she asks her to. 

Aoi is super tanned and short. She has dark brown hair of shoulder length accompanied with dark brown eyes. 

Aoi couldn't attend first year because her drunkard dad had a heart attack and her mom asked her to stay at home for some time along with her siblings as she could not provide anything for them. She returned to school when we were giving our final exams and now she's here in second year. 

"Look. It's not like Ai and the others are villains or something. They're just normal people like us!," I said. 

"Shut up, Tamako! You're just saying all that stuff because Ai and you are friends," Seiko said to me. 

I was going to give her a reply but the teacher entered the classroom and I had to shut my mouth. 

We had the last period of the day with class B, which is Ai's class so they came to our class, which is class A, and made themselves at home. However, there was one problem child. Her name was Ran Masamoto. 

Ran had a fair complexion and long hair. She was chubby. 

But Ran has a weird attachment with Kaoru. Kaoru told me Ran and her had gotten really close during the time we didn't had school. But what was weird was that she used to call Kaoru 'mommy' and Kaoru called her 'baby girl' over text!

I wasn't jealous or anything of that sort because envy and jealousy do not exist in my life at all! But this was downright cringe!

Ai, however, sat on the last desk and no one was seated on the desk next to her. The other two friends which were now in Ai's class sat in front of Ai's desk. 

When Ran entered the classroom, she ran her eyes around the room. She saw me and Kaoru sitting next to each other and walked over to me and asked me to get up. 

"I'm sorry. I won't get up. I'm sitting here since the morning and I'm not gonna get up now," I told her with a straight face. 

"Kaoru, tell her to get up!," Ran said to Kaoru, who was quiet.

"I can't do anything. If she doesn't wanna get up, then what can I do about it?," Kaoru said to Ran, who was shocked now. 

"How can you just say that?! We're besties, right?!," Ran said. 

"Ran, just sit somewhere else!," Kaoru said. 

"Everybody settle down. We're gonna start class soon," the teacher announced as she entered the room. 

Her name was Rina Masamoto. She was Ran's mother and a good teacher but she always sided with Ran whenever any problem concerning her daughter arised. That is why Seiko hated both Ran and Mrs. Masamoto. 

Seiko's mother is a teacher too but she is a pre-school teacher and the high school I attend has it's own pre-school and Seiko's mother is a teacher there so Mrs. Masamoto and Mrs. Izumi Jibiki interact sometimes with each other. 

Ran gave me an angry look and went to sit somewhere else. I hate her so much now because I didn't knew she had become so clingy.
