Chapter 14:
AGONY! The Omnipotent Deity's Dastardly Quest
“Wait, you’re saying the Vice President of America is your minion!?” Harumi asked.
“Yep, and easily my strongest,” I replied.
“Does that mean President Tombstone is also-“
“Yep, he’s with me as well.”
“I shouldn’t be surprised. It’s the only reasonable explanation for why someone so vehemently anti-Illumuos is the leader of a country like America.”
Ryuujin looked around as I telepathically filled him in on everything.
“Oh, so these are the new minions. I wanna fight Honoka and Tetsuka!” Ryuujin grinned.
“You’ll win effortlessly, they can’t even hurt you since you’re an Omni,” I told him.
“I mean, I can at least throw them around and through some buildings all badass like.”
“Here, play with smoothy,” I snickered as I flung Ayaka towards Ryuujin with the wave of my finger.
He caught her and gazed down at her.
“Hell yeah! Meatshield-chan get!” he shouted as I warped them to a training dimension.
Ryuujin is my strongest minion for two main reasons. The first is because he’s an Omni, and the second is because he made a perfect pact with me. Even though Tombstone is a level 51 Omni, his pact with me was half-hearted, meaning he’s not as strong as he could have been.
The key to getting a perfect pact is to ask for it when the time is right. Honoka and Tetsuka truly wanted to join me from the bottom of their hearts. Had they not been, I would have simply asked them to join my party. They were also high leveled when I made the pact, thus maximizing its effect. Kumi would undeniably agree to make a pact with me, however, I want her to level up a bit more to maximize its effect.
“Alright, it’s training time. Honoka, you’ll be playing with Meatshield-chan once Ryuujin’s done with her so spar with Tetsuka in the meantime. Tetsuka! Once the sparring match is over, you’ll be duking it out with Kumi. Kumi! You’ll be fighting Wakaha first, then Tetsuka. Zeno! You fight Alonzo. As for you Nika, spar with Sakura,” I ordered.
Everyone aside from Nika happily agreed as I warped them to the training dimension.
“Why do I have to train?” Nika asked.
“Cuz you’ll be getting in fights eventually. Besides you’re a power holder, so best to get a grip on things now,” I said.
“*Sigh* I guess you have a point. Still, why did you warp everyone else away?”
“I simply moved them to the training dimension I attached to the mansion. You can only enter it if you’re in the mansion. It also allows them to go all out without accidentally killing you or one of the servants. I’m sure you’d prefer that compared to being constantly revived. You’ll be training with Sakura in the base mansion. I’ll tell you where to go.”
…
Nika sighed as she stared at Sakura. She had changed into athletic wear and had just finished warming up.
“Just so you know, I don’t like having weak guys on my team. Though I’m a bit more lenient when it comes to weak girls,” Sakura stated as she cracked her knuckles.
I lounged on my cloud and motioned for them to start as I chugged my smoothie.
In an instant, Nika’s head went flying towards the wall.
“Not bad Sakura, though try to give her a chance. She needs to level up too,” I snickered as I revived Nika.
“The hell was that! I felt myself get beheaded!” Nika shouted.
“Relax, there’s no danger of you dying or having your soul poached by an enemy. That’s only if someone not part of the party attacks you.”
“Just so you know, I’m doing this for Madam, not you,” Sakura stated.
“You all count as my group due to the contract. Besides, I have no ill will towards you. Plus, it would make Naname sad if you ended up getting killed off so early.”
“I- I’m strong. I won’t let Madam down,” Sakura wearily retorted.
Yeah, she’d easily be one of the first to die. Though I could easily fix that.
“Want to become a power holder?” I asked.
Sakura hesitated, before begrudgingly answering, “yes.”
“Alright, just fight Nika WITHOUT killing or one shotting, and I’ll grant you a power. Nika, if you don’t want to be mourning this girl’s death in a day, beat her,” I stated.
Since these two would be sparing till dark, how about we see how Kumi’s doing...
Wakaha grimaced nervously as she shot a sound bullet.
“Shit! I’ve never been this close to losing. Ever since I awakened my power 6 months ago, I’ve been invincible. Even Zeno’s wind can’t phase me. Sure, he is a more skilled marksman, but I’ve got more experience. Even before I had my powers, my sharpshooting alone could keep some power holders at bay. Dammit! Why can’t I hit her!?” Wakaha lamented as Kumi reached her.
“You’re in for a shock YO!” Kumi yelled as she zapped Wakaha.
“Sorry girl, my armor’s got rubber coating,” Wakaha smiled under her helmet.
She then brandished a rubber bat and began swinging at Kumi.
“Hey no fair! Where’s my weapon!” Kumi yelled.
“Create your own,” I telepathically said to her.
“Create!?” I can’t- _! I got it!”
Kumi then molded two lightning bolts into jagged spear tonfas. She then began attacking Wakaha.
Wakaha attempted to attack with sound, however, Kumi was too fast to hit. Then the decisive play happened. Wakaha’s bat got stuck in one of Kumi’s tonfas. Kumi then disarmed her and took of her helmet.
“Now I’ve got a rod, YO!” Kumi shouted as she sent a bolt of lightning down at Wakaha’s head.
Wakaha was unable to dodge and received the shock. Kumi continued this attack until Wakaha was unconscious.
“YO! I did it!” Kumi cheered.
“Now you’re level 16,” I smiled.
“YO! I’m higher than Zeno! Lol, I’m gonna rub it in his face.
“Oi, don’t celebrate yet! Now you brawl with me!” Tetsuka growled.
She was in a bad mood due to getting bested by Honoka again.
“You’ll go down easy, metal attracks lightning!” Kumi yelled as she charged.
To her shock, Tetsuka turned her fist into silicon and one-shot her.
“I can turn myself into metalloids too. Silicon’s one of them,” Tetsuka growled as Kumi lay unconscious.
…
Nika struggled to land a hit on Sakura. I decided it was time to give her a hint.
“Draw a net,” I said telepathically.
“Draw!? What do you- “
“Just imagine you’re holding a pen.”
Nika begrudgingly complied. She visualized a net and drew it. To her surprise, it became real and fell on Sakura.
Sakura immediately became immobilized as Nika punched her as hard as she could. It didn’t knock her out, so she tried kicking. Once Sakura was knocked out, I revived her and granted her a power.
“Not bad, you’re now both level 3 power holders,” I stated.
Sakura tested out her newfound power before smiling.
“Not bad Nika, though you’ll need to get more creative if you want to best me again,” Sakura smiled as she held out her hand.
“I’m not suited for combat, but thanks for helping me get through this,” Nika smiled as she shook Sakura’s hand.
After a nice shower, everyone was invited to dinner.
“How dare you all treat me like a meat-shield!” Ayaka blushed as Sakura shoved some meat into her mouth.
The rest of the training was uneventful, though everyone in my main party had made some progress.
“Ha! You lost! I won my first match!” Kumi gloated.
“*Tch* At least I made tornado soccer my own,” Zeno grumbled.
“So you can become metalloid too?” Honoka asked.
“Yeah, though I don’t like eating them as much as metal,” Tetsuka explained as she gobbled down some cake.
“Well metalloids do have some metallic properties. Plus, she’s got Ginkawa genes as well,” Harumi mused as she rubbed Tetsuka’s shoulder.
Ryuujin happily chugged down some fruit juice as I ate takoyaki and chugged a fruit smoothie.
It was good that everyone was enjoying supper. Tomorrow would be the start of the succession event.
