The Confession of My love

“I will open door now, Youta.”

I can’t do anything now. The door slowly opens. Why did I forget to lock the door especially tonight? Saito senpai also look so surprise after knew that Minami is here.

“Youta, sorry to disturb…. Why Akemi senpai here?” ask Minami.

“She was helping me practice. That’s why she is here,” I said to convince her what is really happening.

“Really? By the way, Akemi senpai, where do you live?”

Minami asking Saito senpai the question that I tried to avoid before.

“I live next to Arima-kun’s house.”

“I thought so. Youta, you should just tell me that Saito senpai is your neighbor. So, let’s begin our practice now. Right, I will sleep here tonight as tomorrow we don’t have class. Is it okay, Youta?”

“I will sleep here too, Arima-kun. You know, to avoid something happen between of two of you.”

They are crazy. First, how can Minami was allowed to sleep with a boy tonight? Did she lie to her aunt? Then, why does Saito senpai also want to sleep here too tonight? Is she afraid that I will do anything to Minami? I just want to have a peaceful night so I can relax. Now, how I can solve this?

“You should think carefully. How can two girl sleep with one boy in one house?”

I try to make them understand the situation. But Minami still did not give up.

“Who said that a girl can’t sleep with a boy? If that’s true, do you will do something to us when we are sleeping?”

“Right! I agree with Minami here. Why are you thinking too much, Arima-kun?”

They really know how to cooperate against me alone.

“Okay. But both of you will sleep in my room. I will sleep here, in living room.”

“Okay!!”

I hope they understand. After that we continued our practice. I must say that Minami’ s presence here tonight is a big help with her honest comment about our acting. I try to fix my acting based on Minami’s comment. The clock already shows eleven o clock in the night. I feel so sleepy. Saito senpai and Minami also feel tired after three hours practice. I said that I would sleep in the living room while they are sleeping in my bedroom. Right? But what happened is different from what I said. I just lie down after switching off the light. Minami and Saito senpai come from my room and lie down next to me. Saito senpai on my right and Minami on my left side. If I were harem king, I would become so happy with this situation. But I am only a normal university student.

“Why both of you are here?”

They did not answer me. I think they have fell asleep. I will take this chance to go to my room. I did not realize that they held my hand so tight. I want my peaceful life back.

After that night, we practiced so hard for the competition day by day. Sometimes we practice in the university hall and there are times we only practice in the clubroom. My acting slowly improves and starts to get good feedback from Fujimiya senpai and other club members. For extra, we manage to recruit many students who are interested. All of us try to give our best for the competition.

Finally, today is the day when the competition is hold. We will be perform for last turn. All performances before us are amazing. I can’t count how many times I was impressed with their acting. Before our turn, Sakura sensei gives us final advice and reminds us to have fun on stage. We are already at our own places. Sakuya-san, as our narrator start to narrate the story.

The story is about a girl whose name is Cinderella. She lives with her stepmother and stepsister. Cinderella's stepmother was a stern and demanding woman, and her stepsister also followed in her mother's footsteps. They always treat Cinderella as if she is their servant.

“Cinderella don’t forget to wash dishes after this and clean your sister’s room too. You need to understand that I most powerful person in this house after your dad is gone. ”

“Remember, Cinderella, don’t touch too many of my things in my room. I afraid that it will become dirty again after you touch it with your hand.”

Cinderella can’t go against them as she afraid she will lose her place to live. One day, news spread throughout the kingdom that the prince was holding a grand ball to find a suitable bride. Cinderella’s stepmother plans to marry her daughter to the prince to become a wealthy person. Meanwhile, Cinderella was left alone at house.

“Cinderella, you will stay here while I and your sister will go to grand ball.”

“Yes! And you can wait here until I will back with the prince as my husband. You don’t need to go to the grand ball until you fix your face first! Goodbye!!”

Cinderella can only look at her stepmother and stepsister walking away from the house. She really wants to go to that grand ball. Then, a weird light suddenly appeared in front of her.

“Why are you so sad, Cinderella?” ask the fairy godmother.

“I wanted to go to the grand ball but with my looks and appearance, I don’t think I can attend the grand ball,” said Cinderella with a sad voice.

“Don’t worry! I can help you to realize anything you want.”

Then, she swings her magic stick toward Cinderella. The stage becomes dark and when the lighting is on again, Cinderella’s appearance changes. She is wearing a beautiful dress and her hair is properly groom.

“What happen to me?” ask Cinderella.

“This is my power. But remember that this magic will lose its power once the clock shows twelve o clock,” said fairy godmother.

“Alright! Thank you so much, fairy godmother!” said Cinderella.

“ I have a rat that can help to bring you to that grand ball. Please have fun, Cinderella!”

“I always ready to go, Cinderella. You can ride this carriage and I will bring you to the grand ball,” said the rat.

“Thank you so much, Mr. rat!”

Cinderella rides the carriage to the grand ball. When she arrives there, there are so many noble attending grand ball. Then, the prince and his herald joining the ball. All the girls start to look at him including Cinderella’s stepsister and stepmother. They try to attract the prince’s attention. Unfortunately, the prince already set his eyes on one girl. The girl is Cinderella.

“My lady, will you dance with me tonight?” ask prince toward Cinderella.

Cinderella looks so surprised. “Is it fine for you to dance with me, prince?”

“Sure! You are so beautiful to me!” said the prince, that made Cinderella look embarrassed.

The music starts to play. Its melody is suitable for tonight. Their dancing is starting to gain more attention. While dancing, Cinderella asking prince why his face look so red. He said that he was too shy to dance with a girl. Without realizing, the clock is showing twelve o clock. Cinderella almost forgets that magic will lost its power once it passes midnight. She is rushing left the grand ball to avoid her true appearance being seen by other people. When running, one of her glass slippers was left behind on the steps of palace. Luckily, she returned to her house before her stepsister and her stepmother came back. The prince, after dancing with Cinderella, wants to meet that girl again. By finding the owner of one of glass slippers, he will marry that girl. He and his herald go to every house to find the true owner of glass slippers. When they arrive at Cinderella’s house, Cinderella’s stepsister tries to wear that slipper, but it does not fit them. When it’s turn for Cinderella to try it, her stepsister starts to mock her.

“Do you think that shoes are yours? Are you kidding?” said Cinderella’s stepsister in a mockery way. Her stepmother just laughed at Cinderella, thinking that Cinderella is not the owner of the slipper.

“Look! The slipper found its owner! Prince, I think this girl is true owner of this shoe,” said herald.

The slipper fits perfectly on Cinderella’s foot.

“Are you the one that I am looking for?” ask prince.

“The truth is I was the girl you met last night.”

“Although your appearance is not same as last night, I still can feel the warmth from your expression. Your soft voice and your kind heart make me fall in love with you. Please marry me!”

“Wait!”

All the audience suddenly looked so surprised. It’s not because of my acting but what really happen on stage. Why Minami is here? I thought that her role was already done.

“Prince, you should marry me instead of Cinderella. I am the one who are really love you.”

This is not in the script Minami! Why is the fairy godmother confessing her love to the prince?

“No! Prince, I am in love with you! You are the one I love,” said Saito senpai.

Sakuya-san don’t know how to react to this sudden change. Fujimiya senpai and Nana are still shocked with this change. Meanwhile, Takeda senpai was just standing beside me. The audience looked at the stage waiting for me to see. What should I say now? Right! I will say that line now!

“Hear me out, everyone! The one I love here is Cinderella! Fairy godmother, sorry but my heart is belong to her!”

I take Saito senpai’s hand and pull her closer to me.

“What are you doing now, Arima-kun?” Saito senpai whispering to me.

“I am sorry, senpai!”

I leaned in and placed my lips on Saito senpai's, sharing a heartfelt kiss that symbolized my affection for her. I done it. Then, Sakuya-san try to narrate for the closing line by saying, after that kiss, prince and Cinderella marry each other and live together happily. That is the end of our performance. Behind the stage, Saito senpai and I become awkward with each other.

“I don’t expect that to happen. What are you doing just now, Minami-san?” ask Fujimiya senpai.

“Sorry! I just want to make the act more exciting,” said Minami.

“But I like the ending! Right, Masaru?” said Nana.

“Yeah! It looks more romantic to me,” said Masaru.

After that all of us are waiting for the result. Unexpectedly, we won third place. Sakura sensei said although this is our first time we enter the competition, we have done the best. Sakura sensei, then give Masaru a box that I believe contains soccer boots. He looks so happy to receive it from sensei. I feel so shy to look at Saito senpai now. Before I went back to my house, Saito senpai asked me to meet with her behind the hall.
