Part 1 - Rapid Calling

<POV: Carene>

Although there was a lot that I wanted to speak to our little Jorah, she had already long disappeared before my eyes.

Darn it. So this was what she wanted to do all along? Even a girl as young as her absolutely fooled me, through and through!

Then again... what's done is done.

No use in crying over little incidents.. assuming this to actually be a little incident.

Right. Just a small bump on the road. No need to take it too seriously. Just a prank from a child.

Alright. Somehow that made it a little better to accept.

Well, since there is nothing left for me to do here at her school premises, I quickly found another Bus heading towards our neighborhood and bought a ticket inside.

Unfortunately, it was rush hour and hence it was jam-packed with commuters... which left no seat for me to sit on.

Thankfully, I didn't encounter any weird old men trying to grope my hips. I was really very thankful that such a thing didn't happen. However, it also made me realize that I need to get my Driver's license already.

I mean, it would have been a lot better if I could just anywhere I wanted, right?

As I continued to go through the specifics of my new plan to acquire a DL, the phone in my pocket started to ring all of a sudden.

And.. it was the special ringtone that I had assigned to a very specific contact earlier, to avoid the call from being overlooked again.

Celesta is calling?! Oh God, don't make her hang it up.... It got connected!!

"Hello? Celesta? Hey, how have you been? Is something wrong over there? Sorry that I couldn't pick up your call last night! Um... are you still there?"

I heard a sweet giggle coming from the phone, as Celesta finally spoke,

<Yes, I can you well Carene. Sorry for worrying you like that. The phone wasn't charged and I couldn't find another to call you in the rush.>

I breathed a sigh of relief and softly admonished myself for having such stupid delusions of her being in trouble.

It wasn't like that at all... Celesta was truly safe all along.

Thank you, God! Thank you so.. so very much...

Not being able to hold myself anymore, I continued to ask her further,

"Hey, umm... how is everything over there? Are there any troublesome people there around you? Have the study sessions been too tough? Ah! Did you have some breakfast yet?!"

Even when I finally knew that Celesta was fine, my inner greed drove me to hear her sweet voice even more.

<That.. no. Actually, I am on my way back home now. There are some problems though. I was actually trying to arrive by noon today, however, the traffic congestion issue I am facing right now is severely bad. I had no choice but to book the evening flight, so I might be back sometime after 9.00 PM.>

Upon hearing the delightful news that Celesta was coming, every pore of my skin began to tingle in excitement. I couldn't hold back my inner excitement as I replied back to her,

"R-Really?! Alright! I will be there to receive you at the airport then. Just.. wait for me when you get there, okay?"

There was a few seconds of silence before I heard Celesta's voice again.

<Un... got it. Ehehehe~~ Wait for me.>

Celesta and I talked about various things for a very long time, right until she finally hung up the call to save some battery for later.

Well, it's not like we were talking about things of extreme importance. Just.. a few things here and there. I mean, I was really curious about how she spent her days over there. When I heard she got drunk at a party yesterday, I sighed in relief that nothing untoward happened to her after it.

Celesta too, wanted to hear more about everyone else in the family. Of course, I couldn't tell her about the little mishap I had earlier at Jorah's school, so I skipped it from the contents of the conversation.

Her tone was very carefree and full of energy, so I knew that she was in good health. That was another worry of mine that had gotten resolved.

She also told me that I was the first to know about her return back home. The fact that she chose to call me before anyone else really warmed my heart like crazy.

Anyways, I was really glad that Celesta was finally coming back. These few days without her felt uncomfortable for some reason as if there was something important missing.

Even if my life right now is in a much better state than ever before, it's only due to Celesta lending me a hand to shelter me from my loneliness. And it is due to her kindness that I have some people around me that I can smile with.

Ain't no way I am ever letting my savior down! Never!

While I was getting super excited over the return of my cherished one, the phone in my hands rang out again.

The ringtone this time was different, being just a generic one that came installed on the phone. As I checked my phone to see who it was, it turned out to be a call from Sis Lin!

Oh, man... I completely forgot!! I had asked her to take me to a good doctor for my head issues while I get my Medical Certificate too.

Better not to make her wait for too long!

After quickly accepting the call, I spoke to Sis Lin,

"Hello.. Sis Lin? Sorry that I haven't arrived yet. I am on my way there and will be arriving in.. five minutes, I think."

A mature yet cute-sounding voice came from the phone's speaker as it pulled the chords of my heart.

<It's okay. I just got up myself too. Did you eat anything yet? I am preparing breakfast right now. Would you like to join?>

What? Breakfast with Sis Lin? Hmmm... now that I think about it, I haven't tasted her cooking yet. Should I accept her offer? I really want to though..

Wanting to appear a bit modest, I replied back to her,

"Eh? Well.. I already had something earlier on, but... Nah, don't worry about it. I will be there as soon as possible!"

Sis Lin seemed to be busy cooking as I could hear something being fired on her side.

<Okay, waiting for you here~>

Part 2 - Holding back

The call ended with Sis Lin's cheerful voice. She seemed to be in a very good mood as her tone of voice was very pleasant while her choice of words was very carefree.

Did something nice happen to her? Maybe she dreamt of something good since she just woke up? Probably.

It's not like that's a bad thing, right...?

W-Wait a second! She didn't dream about her lover or something, did she?! There was also that time when I heard her talking to someone on her phone call. She seemed to be in a very desperate and emotional state then.

I mean... no, that's not possible.. I think. Yeah, Sis Lin has only been treated badly by the dickheads that dated her before. Especially her moronic ex-husband. Then, if she didn't dream about that.. what was it that she saw?

While I was getting lost in my own thoughts, the bus finally arrived at my destination and I walked down the bus.

Now, just a little distance to walk.

Not wanting to keep Sis Lin waiting, I walked back in the direction of my new home with brisk steps. I didn't enter my home but walked by it since my aim was the building next to it. Although it paled in comparison to Isla's grand house in magnificence, Sis Lin's house, despite being modest in size, was actually big enough to accommodate a family of four pretty easily.

I didn't know why, but as soon as I arrived at Sis Lin's house, the amorous times that we had between the two of us here kept coming back to me.

Stop! Calm down Carene. I-It's not like I am here purposely to do naughty things with Sis Lin?! She is a respectable elder and a successful professional. I am just here to receive her help this time.

Yeah, just that. No hanky panky business this time.

Haah... even then, just how do I calm this raging boner of mine?! It's so erect right now as if it's really trying to pierce the heavens!

Oh, God! I don't want to meet my Sis Lin with a crazy erection, first thing in the morning?! What will she think of me? A deviant, a perverted sexual deviant! That's what she would take me for.

I don't want to be treated like some deviant beast by Sis Lin..

As I found my courage to leave by just pushing the doorbell, the front door opened up abruptly, and the one that I was here for, appeared right in front of me.

"Here you are. Come in quickly. The breakfast has been laid out for a while now."

Although I could hear Sis Lin pretty loud and clear, my brain started to malfunction as my eyes kept trying to devour the feast in front of them.

Sis Lin was wearing super cute-looking rabbit print pajamas, as she stood near the door invitingly.

Hell, even those cute pajamas couldn't hide her slender and beautiful neck, while tightly hugging her sexy and mature body frame, while still leaving a lot for someone like me to imagine about.

"Hmm? What's wrong? Is there something strange on my face, Carene?"

After hearing her calling me out with concern, I finally snapped out of my reverie, as I smiled back at Sis Lin and greeted her.

"Good morning, Sis Lin. Sorry that I arrived here without any gifts this time."

Sis Lin pulled me inside her house affectionately as she spoke to me,

"Nonsense. You are no outsider, you know? There is no need for such formalities between the two of us, okay? Now, go and wash your hands quickly."

Sis Lin softly spoke as she pushed my shoulders and led me towards the kitchen. After making sure that I had washed my hands properly, she sat down alongside me at the dining table.

The breakfast had a lot of differences for the two of us. For herself, Sis Lin was having just a bowl of freshly cut mixed salad along with a glass of lemonade. For me though, she had prepared it on an entirely different level.

A big glass of milk, a bowl full of fried eggs, a few toasted slices of bread, along with some fruit jam.

What a difference, really.

Sis Lin... don't tell me that you are expecting me to finish all of this by myself? Do you happen to be the type of host that likes your guests to be bloated and full of food?!

On a side note, no matter how much I ate, my body never changed much, hence I gained the habit of unhinged eating till I felt full. Even if that was the case, the amount of food I could consume was way less than what was presented to me.

Thankfully, the strangely moody Tenant's antics this morning left me feeling somewhat hungry.

No use holding back then.. let's dig in!

In contrast to how I was almost savagely devouring my food, Sis Lin was eating hers slowly with moves full of grace and elegance. She chewed the salad well while occasionally taking sips of lemonade in between.

A Goddess! Sis Lin truly is a Goddess here on earth!

How can someone of her age have such innocence and charm?!

Heck, I am sure that nobody can even tell her real age at a glance at all.

At most a college student. That's how young Sis Lin actually looked. Well, she is actually quite young on the inside as well...

Absolutely an angel! Not to forget, even the food she cooks tastes so good! Maybe it tastes better since she is eating here with me right now...?

Sis Lin finished her breakfast a lot sooner than I did as she stood up to wash her bowl and glass. After that, she approached me and came to stand next to me as she spoke,

"Well, I am going to get a quick shower and dress up after that. Carene, you take your time with your meal, alright? We would leave after I come back."

I could only foolishly nod my head, agreeing to her suggestion almost immediately.

Just this, Sis Lin? If you had asked me to take ten laps around the neighborhood right now, I would have agreed before anyone can sneeze!

Even though I was super pumped to devour the tasty food in front of me, my eyes were still fixed on Sis Lin's retreating figure as she went upstairs.
