“ It took all week but we did it. Your apartment is completely cleaned!” Miku flopped down on the couch and threw the last bag of clothes into my room. “ I’ll take my payment on monday but for now i’m going to sleep.” Miku drifted off on the couch so I threw the blanket from my bed over her.

“ Thanks for the help you’ll get the highest quality I can afford.” She started to snore. She must be exhausted. I can't believe we cleaned this whole apartment. It was so dirty just last week I don’t even know how I was living like that. Miku wakes up nine hours later and looks outside.

“ Man, how late is it?” She flicks on her phone and reads out 4:05am. She then dashes towards the front door. “ Oh no I completely missed curfew my parents will kill me!”

“ Oh no, that sounds awful, want me to walk you? I can say you passed out or something?” She shrieks and hits me with her shoe. A trickle of blood runs down my cheek. “ Wow I guess you are a skilled warrior… Can you grab me a paper towel.” I chuckle and wipe the blood with my finger.

“ Don’t do that, you'll be fine, just wipe it on your sleeve and let us depart on my journey.” She puts her contacts in a case and puts on glasses. “ My parents don’t know about my alter ego.” She blushes a little bit. “ Let’s go already, I don't want my parents to wait much longer!” We started walking from my apartment to her house.

“ Tell me if your parents are strict, would they be embarrassed to see you with contacts haha.”

“ Shut up, it's not that they’re strict, they just don’t understand how cool they look! And I’ll look even cooler with that hakama and katana so you’d better not let me down.’’ A car pulls up beside us.

“ Big brother, is that your girlfriend? Hehe?” I put Miku on my back and start running as fast as I can towards her house

“ Was that your little sister? Wait, does that mean your family came this early in the morning?”

“ That was my big sister and yes my family came this early. That's why we’re running because they’re insane.”

“ Come back big brother!” The car had turned around and was now running parallel to us. “

““ Hey son how’ve you been?”” My parents smiled at me then sped ahead and cut me off at the intersection. “ Get in, bring your girlfriend too.” My sister opened the door.

“ Ken, can I get that katana right now?” Miku whispered into my ear.

“ If you could, I would've already given it to you.” We both sigh but decide to hop in the car.

“ So where are we going? I’ll drive you guys there.” My mom pulled up the GPS on her phone and passed it back to Miku. “ I’m Ken’s mom Sakura, this is his dad Akira and his sister Asuka.”

“ I’m Miku, the student council president at Ken’s school.”

“ So what’s your relationship with my dear brother? I won't let anyone else have him!”

“ Um I guess friends, he needed my help with something and that’s why we’re out so late.”

“ Then tell me, does my brother have a girlfriend? If he doesn't I’ll be disappointed in his abilities to charm even one girl.”

“ Oh he doesn't have a girlfriend… Yet anyways.” Miku smirked and looked at me trying to signal that she was talking about Akane. “ Witch hunt… Brother, invite all your friends over. I'll interrogate them, none of them will lay a hand on you.” Asuka likes to act like she’s eternally five at least when it comes to my life. She got one of my previous girlfriends to break up with me through a minute long conversation.

“ Don’t you dare chase her away like you did Aiya and Emi!” My sister smirked at me.

“ Well they weren’t right for you only I am so please marry me I’m your sister who could be better for you.” That’s right my sister has a huge brother complex from the time I was five I think she’s been asking me to marry her but she’s also five years older than me so while I'm sixteen right now she’s twentyone.” Wow your password is so predictable are you sure you’re my brother? The text has been sent. I Invited everyone in your contacts I don’t know and your manager.’’

“ Why!? You’re such a pain!”

“ Well I want to know if I have any competition obviously.” My sister said, grinning from ear to ear.

“ We’d love to meet your friends too so we know you're hanging out with the right people.” My mom added in.

“ That makes sense I guess but trust me my friends are all very nice and they inspire me a whole lot.”

“ Yeah we’ll see about that.” My sister said. I looked over at her and caught her looking through my text messages.

“ Hey give that back, those are private not that I have anything to hide but still!” I quickly reach for my phone but my sister moves it right before I can grab it. “ Come on Asuka, give it back!”

Miku grabs it so fast Asuka couldn’t track it.

“ Wow, a real life ninja…” Asuka just sat there in shock that Miku was able to move that fast.

“ Well I prefer samurai to ninja. Here’s your phone.” Miku handed me my phone with a picture of a katana on google. “ How long until I can get it?” Miku nudged my arm

“ How about tomorrow around lunch okay?” Miku sat back and smiled.

“ So Ken, what's for dinner tonight since we’re visiting and your friends are coming? You should make something homemade like some Karage or Donburi.” My mom said it like a suggestion but she was telling me to cook something homemade and I couldn’t say no.

“ Yes… I suppose that would be the best. I'll make some Yakitori.”
