Chapter 1:

The aspiring photographer.

The Lifeless Supermoon: A fateful encounter

Fireflies could be seen in playing around freely in the land, mostly devoid of light. The colours are fading away as the night becomes darker and darker, but is not completely gone, as the moon refuses to let the wonderful colours go away by enlightening the surroundings as much as she can. Although she cannot be as powerful as the sun, she tried her best.

"Wait wait wait, is that a supermoon?", said a young boy, having wonderful expectations and aspirations about the future that is awaiting for him.

"I need to take a picture."

He is Kanako, a second year high schooler, hoping to become a photographer in the near future. It was a tiny island that he was born and raised upon.

The island's name was Fubuki, a small island on the outskirts of Japan. The only way in and out of this island was an iron bridge, but that bridge is now abandoned as the construction of a newly built bridge that was completed recently. Now the iron bridge is all alone, under the open sky, wearing away as rust form on it.

Pulling out his camera, the enthusiastic boy positioned himself to where he thought was a perfect angle and tired to take a picture, where the rusted bridge could be seen under the supermoon.

-clack-

"Nice. A perfect picture..."

Taking the picture, he was looking at it to justify how beautiful the moon looks. He is in his school's photography club.

"Huh? What's that?", he said in wonder.

Zooming in the picture, he saw something unexpected...

As the wind blew by the cold and starry sky, there stood a girl, having beautiful blonde hair, which went down to her hips, waving around beautifully. Standing on the rusted iron bridge, she sighed which seems to be heavy.

Her heart crying, her dreams shattered, her hopes lost. Wearing an innocent white dress, she hoped to end her life right then and there...

But she was afraid.

As tears fell from her beautiful blue pupils down her cheeks and on to the rusted bridge, she looked up one last time at the moon. Her mouth stuttering as she tried to hold down her screams from deep inside her heart.

Even when the world had so much to offer, why is she trying to end her precious life?

"Goodbye, cruel world-"

"The moon is looking extra big today, isn't it?", said Kanako, standing down the railing, while the girl was on top of it.

"W-who are you?", she said, having a concerning face.

"Before you go and jump down, can't you just look and appreciate the beauty of the moon?"

What a strange guy. At this moment, any person would rush there and push the girl down the railing in an attempt to save her, but he didn't do any of that. Instead, he was simply standing there beside her, having a camera hanging down his neck, and trying to tell her to enjoy the beauty of the supermoon.

"Your life your wish, but even if its your wish, its still precious, you know?", said Kanako.
