Update on the situation

I am currently in the sweets shop.

It has sweets that are made of milk, dry fruits and floor from what it seems like.

It also has bakery products.

But majority of the things are unknown to me.

So I decided to ask for help.

"Umm Sherry san"

The name is same in all language so she understood that I wanted to talk to her and formed a telepathy bridge.

Sherry san immediately pointed at a creamy cupcake like thing decorated with berries and dry fruits. I appraised it.

So it was Parfait.

And it was served in small clay vessels, shaped like tiny bowl and covered with something like a thin jelly.

It costs 1 silver per piece.

I decided to buy 8 of those.

The shopkeeper was a beautiful aunty.

I handed the money to sherry san.

Meanwhile Mary san bought 2 pieces of pastries which she would probably eat with sherry san at home.

She is drooling a little though.

And Maxis san drank a glass of sweet almond milk.

I gestured Sherry san that I wanted to pay for all of them as a token of thanks.

Which she denied by turning her head side to side.

After handing the money for only 8 parfait she then paid separately for the pastries of Mary san.

Of course Maxis san paid for his milk separately.

When the Parfait were handed to me, I gave each of them one parfait while bowing to them.

Mary san accepted happily and she rubbed my head praising me as a good boy.

I became a little shy.

Sherry san also excepted it in her usual stoic manner.

While she did not smile but I did notice that her eyes were sparkling looking at the Parfait.

These sisters are definitely sweet lovers. My favorability has increased. Yes!

Maxis san also reluctantly accepted it after I compelled him to take it by pushing it in his hand again and again.

The rest of the Parfait were kept I in my newly bought bag pack, after sealing them with cloth and thread.

Although I wanted to give them all something better, this is the best I could do given the limited information and time I had.

I was thinking of giving accessories to my female acquaintances but decided against it, since I don't think our relationship is on that level yet. Moreover I am still 16 and I need to wait 2 years more.

Also, everyone loves sweet right. So it is the safest option.

I never had a female friend let alone a girlfriend or wife.

My interaction with female was limited to my mother or some female colleagues in office.

That too strictly professional.

Actually I was always reluctant to form any personal connection with anyone.

My bad experience with my family led me to have trust issues.

Therefore I never married.

My parents wanted me to have an arrange marriage, because they already knew that a looser like me could never have a girlfriend.

But I never consented. So I died a virgin.

And since I was 28 in my previous life and 16 here, I have become a 44 year old virgin.

That means I might have gotten the title of sage or something right. Just kidding.

Well the point is I donot have any experience with girls, so I donot know what to gift.

About my male acquaintances, I know they will be happy with whatever.

After our little escapade was over we marched back to the barracks.

The sun was already setting.

On the way the Greenwich sisters went separate ways.

Seems like they donot live in Barracks, so they have went home probably.

I and Maxis san went on.

After reaching Baracks, it was already time for dinner.

Dinner was as I expected different from the breakfast and lunch.

It was ramen type dish with lot of veggies and meat.

It tasted good.

After dinner I went to the same designated room.

But to my surprise, Robert san and Philia san were waiting for me there.

Gestured by Robert san I sat on the bed while Philia san and Robert san sat on the table

(Hello Ray kun, how was your outing today?, I hope you got to see the city and buy what you needed)

(Hello Philia san, Yes, Thanks to you....

But I feel bad because, there wasn't much I could help with the work today, in fact it didn't feel like work at all....

In fact I wanted to give you a tour myself if not for the task I had to do today....

I hope Mary san took you to some good sights that were on the way to the shopping district as I requested her right?...

After all we were short on time.

I took out two Parfait from my bag and handed them to Philia san and Robert san while bowing to them.

Philia san accepted it with a bright smile and thanked me.

It made my heart skip.

Robert san also accepted it while thanking me.

Moomoo Bakers? So that's what the shop was called.

Since I cannot read the language yet, I did not know what was written on their shop sign.

What a funny name.

Or maybe it was not translated properly by her magic? I don't know.

The thing is today I and Robert san visited Helium sensei regarding Lily ….

And the good news is she woke up....

She also told us about the event that happened that led to her kidnapping.)

What? So maybe that's why Philia san was busy today.

But it's a relief to hear that Lily recovered in just a day.

(Thank god ! Philia san I am very happy to hear that...

So what was the reason of her kidnapping?)

The Doza village to which she belongs to was overrun by monster stampede 2 days ago and she along with her family and many other villagers had evacuated the village before it happened...

But during their travel to Detroit city yesterday, the group with which her family was travelling with, was attacked by goblins from the Ghalia forest...

Since the migration was large, there were not enough knights or adventurers to guard each group...

That's why this happened...

So her memory is not clear and she just remember that she ran away along with her father and mother...

But during their escape she was captured...

We donot know if her parents are alive or not, because, she says the chaos caused them to separate and before she knew it she was being carried by goblins.)

No! that can't be.

Its so painful to hear that she might loose her parents at such a young age.

Monster stampede and then separated due to chaos.

How sad. She must be terrified and all alone.

But why was their group travelling alone.

Couldn't they have travelled in a single big group.

Maybe even then it would have been difficult to guard people from multiple villages on migration.

(That's very sad news Philia san....

But where are the surviving villagers now...

Did they not reach here?)

(Yes we have already contacted many nearby cities and villages that lie on the way....

Some of the villagers have already arrived here in this city too...

Others are at Hauge village, which is about 3 hours cart ride from here....

Although there are still some groups left to arrive, but till now there does not seem to be any news of her parents.)

Nothing can replace parental love.)

Saying that Philia san made a very sad face almost like crying.

Truly, I too fully understand what it is like, to not receive any parental love.

But I don't think I should consider my situation with Lily's.

Her situation is of course far worse.

Also I donot want to see Philia san sad like this.

Philia san seemed to know about the orphanage here and from her incomplete thoughts, it seems she has some history there.

But, I should not ask her about that as that might make her more sad.

Seems like there is a reason Philia san acts like a kind sister to kids and is so mature.
