My level is 2

The ball glowed blue and Tina san just nodded and gestured to follow her again.

Maybe this was the ball that checked the criminal history of a person who has already been regarded as criminal by the guild.

Since every person has some form of citizen card or guild card made to allow him to enter in city, so his or her magic power may be already recorded at that time.

So my guess is that when the authority declares someone as criminal, they fill the data in a central hub that keeps all those magic power data.

So when the criminal tries to register himself with a new identity, he will be caught. And the magic tool here at the guild is simply a magic tool to record mana and also to check criminal record by sending the person's mana to the central hub to get the information.

Maybe blue is for safe and red for criminal. So that means my mana has been recorded in central hub now. This is all a guess though, as is generally the case in anime and such. Also first time users are blue by default it seems as is the case for me.

But of course this system will not work for people who are born outlaws and live in caves or such and never enter city or those who committed crime before making their identity card. So for them too, the ball will glow blue since it will be their first time registering just like me.

Another drawback is, if the criminal was never identified, his record will remain clear.

So it's a manual system, purely based on human identification of criminals and feeding the data.

But if this world has skill like seeing through truth and lie, or other kind of skills that could help identify the criminal, then it is still better than my old world's system in terms of justice.

But this is all but a conjecture of mine. I will verify this later.

Tina san told me to wait at the counter, while she went inside the back rooms again.

As I was waiting, I observed other people. Most counters were the same.

Men's counter were free, the pink hair was still surrounded by hooligans, and other female staff were busy with work.

Then a new adventurer that came in. I identified them but something unexpected happened.

There was a new entry added. My scan level had increased.

I was so elated that I forgot to look away and continued staring at Joshua in disbelief.

This made him stare at me in return. But after coming to my senses I looked away and scanned myself to see my level.

So that Joshua (a random afro haired adventurer) is 15 and I am a measly 2.

Moreover my age has increased by 1, so that means today is my birthday. Wow, I need to remember this day for sure.

But seriously. I killed 12 goblins you know and I am still only level 2. Well that's to be expected. Goblins may be small fry in this world.

Also considering that Joshua san who is 20 years of age is only level 15, my level is not so bad. and assuming he became adventurer 5 years ago, its still low.

So maybe levels in this world only go as high as 80 max as per my calculations, even for the top adventurers. So level 2 in 3 days is not bad.

Anyway I decided to scan everybody again to check average level of adventurers here.

Most were between 10 to 20 on ground floor. And between 25 to 40 on first floor.

And surprisingly the most high level person at this place was not an adventurer on first floor but a receptionist.

And who was it , it was none other than the sleeping beauty wolf woman Tina san who just came back from the backroom.

She was level 35. Really at age of 24. Just what the hell is she.

Is that the reason she is still not being kicked out of her job.

She must be threatening the guild master to keep her job or something. Yeah as if this sleepyhead can do that.

She came back and placed a wooden tag in front of me.

I picked it up.

It had something written on it. But since I was an illiterate, I could not read.

There was also a number, probable my ID number.

I tied the tag around my neck with a thick thread that was attached to it.

Then I decided to ask about the guild from Tina san.

Finally, I became an adventurer. But I want to know about the rank system and other explanation.

(So Onee chan what is the rules and regulations and procedures to follow in the guild.)

She just gave me a notebook. It was thick. I peeked inside, it seemed hand written and not printed.

Do they not have printing technology? Although they already have so many other awesome magic tools.

Or maybe the guild is saving money by making the receptionist write this stuff down.

(Ok . But return within 10 days.)

Seems like I will have to learn to read in 10 days. Did she forget I donot know any language?

I was planning on asking Milli chan if she could read it for me, but just then Tina san said something unexpected.

It can't be free right? It's a service provided by guild I assume so it must cost something.

I could get Milli chan to read it, in exchange of Ice cream but I am not sure if she would be able to understand it properly or not.

Moreover, Tina san is an employee here so maybe she could tell me other things too.

Like guidance to be adventurer. Since she is level 35, she must know a lot.

(Onee chan, does the guild provide anything like training course for adventurers, )

(There is. Every morning from second bell to fourth bell in the training ground....

2 month course. Fees is 4 silver coin. .......huuu......If cant pay, you have to do commissions for guild and half of the commission pay will be deducted....

till the amount is paid including interest of 10 percent.)

Wow that is the longest sentence she spoke and she even gave a strange howl in middle. She is too wierd.

But it does exist huh. Training course.

Well its perfect for retired adventurers or those who suffered from permanent injuries to make money by teaching.

I can pay 4 silver but tomorrow I am too busy . Let's start from the day after.

(Should I register you?)

(No. I will come day after tomorrow. Is it possible to take a trial before paying.?)

(3 days but will have to pay 50 copper)

She just took the copper and wrote something on some sheets.

She just gave a sleepy nod and went off in her own drowsy world.

I also decided to leave the counter

But there was trouble waiting for me.

When I was leaving the guild. Three people blocked my way.

Is it the template about kids not allowed to register.

Will I be told to go home and drink my mothers milk. Maybe.

The person blocking my way was none other than Joshua kun (the person whose level I checked) and his cronies.

Joshua in middle with hands folded, and to the right was an archer with disgust written on his face. His name was Kite.

And on the left was a short hooded girl carrying a staff. Her name was Jil.

"hiu sike list kok Kikola ka!" (What were you looking at huh, piece of shit?)"

"Jaduya la pak solto, pis kiko Joshua" (This kid is creepy, lets leave Joshua)

"sas dikta mal cheh , la pak Tina sus" (Yes , he was sitting there staring at Tina san, whole time ) ~Jil

Seems like Joshua is here because I was staring at him.

And his companions think I am creepy because as seen by them I was not speaking and just sat there in front of Tina san staring at her face too.

Seems like they only saw part of it, otherwise they would have guessed that I was registering as adventurer there.

Anyway, now how should I tackle this?
