The Goodbyes

After leaving Tina San’s house I reached the inn right when the 8th bell rung.

Surprisingly again I was able to navigate properly and remembered every turn and corner which I took to go to Onee chan’s house.

My memory is very good.

I ate the dinner. It was noodles served with salad and sauce.

There was also a fruity drink along with it.

After eating my fill I decided to extend my stay at the inn and paid a silver and 30 copper to Martha san for the room and dinner.

Millia chan was very happy when she overheard that I will stay another night.

She winked at me from behind the counter.

I then went to the room and decided to do some studying.

I opened the guild rule book and the alphabet chart given to me by Tina san.

Since the numerals are same. I just need to learn the alphabets.

I first revised the alphabets and the sound they made.

Then I practiced writing them. To my surprise I was able to do so easily after 10 times of revising and practicing.

Then I tried to see if I could read the guild rule book alphabet by alphabet from what I learnt.

But the problem is even if I knew how the word would be pronounced approximately with the help of joining alphabets I learnt. I still did not know the meaning of most of them.

My vocabulary is almost zero.

The 9th bell rang and I decided to sleep since I had to get up early tomorrow.

The next say my eyes opened on their own, before the first bell.

Its still dark outside.

I finished my morning routine and did some meditation too. Then I got ready and exit the inn.

I reached the gate from where the subjugation force will depart.

The sun has risen and the first bell has rung.

I saw the soldiers were already arriving. About 500 soldiers gathered.

There were Knights and mages on horses. They even had 5 carriages to carry supplies.

I got close and saw Barnabus san giving instructions to the soldiers and Mary san standing beside him.

I checked their levels and to my surprise Barnabus san was level 41 and Mary san was level 34 which were quite high for their age.

Maybe Mary san was the vice commander. Considering her skill with the sword, that might be true.

While Barnabus san had his signature great sword on his shoulder, Mary san carried a slightly curved long sword.

I went near them. Although I was stopped by a guard, but Barnabus san saw me and told the guard to let me come.

This was the secret errand I did yesterday.

I bought this magic tool yesterday from the H&H magic tool shop.

I had asked the clerk there to show some protective magic tools.

There were various specific type, like protection against specific type of magic or curses.

I did not even know that there were curses too in this world.

There were also some that reduced physical damage,

but they were about 15 gold coins for even the most basic ones that only deflected weak magic.

So when I asked the clerk, if there was something that could save life even if it was only single use and was cheap,

he showed me some bracelets and necklaces. I chose the best one and that was a bracelet.

The chances of activation were about 10% only as per the clerk.

On them, a cavalry of army of knights and mages wearing chainmail armors marching while shouting war cries.

I feel worried but there is nothing I can do.

If I was strong, I could have gone with them,

but they said that it was an easy mission of blocking the back escape path for the monsters so I think they should be fine.

Moreover Barnabus san and others are strong.

When the army disappeared from my sight, I also decided to go back.

I have to go to Helium sensei’s clinic to meet LIly.

I first went to the inn and had my breakfast.

It was soup, bread and fruits. After that I decided to buy something sweet for lily from Moomoo bakery.

Thankfully it had already opened. Seems like it opens on 2nd bell of the day that is 8 am.

From there I bought sweet bread roll with cream filled inside it. 60 copper.

My cash reserved are running quite low. I also have to pay Nyxia san for weapon repair later.

I currently have only 3 gold and few silver left.
