The End and the Beginning

I never expected to die so young. I was only 18 years old, a high school student with a normal life. I had no special talents, no great achievements, no dreams or ambitions. I was just an average guy who liked to play video games and watch anime.

But fate had other plans for me. One day, as I was walking home from school, I saw a truck speeding towards me. It was too late to dodge or run away. I felt a sharp pain in my chest and then everything went black.

The next thing I knew, I was floating in a dark space. There was nothing around me, no sound, no light, no sensation. I wondered if this was the afterlife or just a dream.

Then I heard a voice.

"Hello, young soul. You have been chosen by me to be reborn in another world."

The voice was calm and gentle, but also authoritative and powerful. It sounded like a god or an angel.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am the Creator of this world and many others. You can call me whatever you like."

"Creator? What do you mean by reborn in another world?"

"I mean exactly what I said. You have died in your original world, but your soul is still intact. I have decided to give you a second chance at life in a different world. A world of magic and adventure, where you can fulfill your potential and achieve your destiny."

"Why me? Why did you choose me?"

"Because you have a special quality that I admire. You have a pure and innocent heart, free of greed, hatred, and malice. You are also curious and adaptable, willing to learn and explore new things. You are the ideal candidate for this experiment."

"Experiment? What experiment?"

"I am testing the effects of reincarnation on different souls. How they adapt to different environments, cultures, and situations. How they grow and develop their abilities and personalities. How they interact with other beings and influence the course of history. You are one of my subjects."

"So you're using me as a guinea pig?"

"Not at all. You are my guest and my partner. I will not force you to do anything you don't want to do. You have free will and choice in this world. You can live however you please, as long as you don't harm yourself or others."

"What if I don't want to go? What if I want to stay here or go back to my old world?"

"I'm afraid that's not possible. Your old world is gone for you. You can never return there. And this place is not meant for living. It's only a temporary stop before your next destination. You have to go to the new world, or else your soul will fade away."

"Fade away? What does that mean?"

"It means you will cease to exist. Your soul will dissolve into nothingness, leaving no trace behind. It's the worst fate imaginable for any being."

I felt a chill run down my spine. I didn't want to disappear. I wanted to live.

"OK, OK, fine. I'll go to the new world. But what kind of world is it? What can I expect there?"

"It's a world similar to the ones you've seen in your favorite stories. A world of swords and sorcery, dragons and demons, heroes and villains, kingdoms and empires, wars and peace. A world where anything is possible with enough courage and wisdom."

"That sounds amazing. But what about me? Who will I be in this world? Will I have any memories or skills from my previous life?"

"You will be reborn as a human male in this world. You will retain your memories and personality from your previous life, but you will also gain new ones from your new life. You will also inherit some of the skills and talents of your new parents."

"Who are my new parents?"

"They are the king and queen of the most powerful nation in this world: the Kingdom of Luminia. You will be their only son and heir: Prince Leon Luminia."

I gasped in shock.

"What? You're kidding me! You're making me a prince? A royal prince?"

"Yes, that's right. You will be born into royalty and nobility. You will have wealth, power, fame, and respect from birth. You will also have many responsibilities and expectations from your people and your family."

"Why? Why did you make me a prince? Why not someone else?"

"Because being a prince is not as easy as it sounds. It's not all fun and games. It's also a challenge and a burden. You will face many dangers and enemies, both internal and external. You will have to deal with politics and diplomacy, war and peace, love and hate, loyalty and betrayal. You will have to make hard decisions and sacrifices for the sake of your kingdom and your people. You will have to balance your personal desires and your public duties. You will have to prove yourself worthy of your title and your destiny."

"What destiny?"

"The destiny of becoming the greatest hero this world has ever seen. The destiny of saving this world from the evil that threatens to destroy it. The destiny of leading this world into a new era of prosperity and harmony."

"What evil? What era?"

"You will find out soon enough. But for now, you should prepare yourself for your new life. Your rebirth is about to begin."

"Wait, wait, wait! I have so many questions! How do I prepare? What do I need to know? What do I need to do?"

"Don't worry, young soul. You will learn everything you need to know in due time. You will also have my guidance and support along the way. I will always be watching over you and helping you when you need me. You can always talk to me in your mind or in your dreams."

"Really? You'll always be there for me?"

"Of course. You are my chosen one, after all. I care about you more than anyone else in this world."

"Thank you, Creator. Thank you for giving me this opportunity. Thank you for being my friend."

"You're welcome, young soul. You're welcome, Leon."

The voice faded away, leaving me alone in the darkness.

I felt a strange sensation in my body. It was like I was being pulled by a strong force, towards a bright light.

I realized it was time to go.

I closed my eyes and let go of everything.

I was ready for my new life.

I was ready to be reborn as a prince in another world.
