Confrontation

Zeev was already watching out of the window. Patty was awoken by the sudden appearance of Romulus. "What's going on?" Zeev turned to her. "The military is on the street." She jumped out of bed and watched through the blinds. "Do you think, they are searching for you?"

Romulus peaked as well. He began to shake. Patty and Zeev both picked on it. "Do you recognize someone on the vehicles?" His breath sounded stressed. "That woman in the second one. She is... the crazy doctor." Patty looked closer. She wanted to see that abusive monster, who did all those nasty things to Romulus.

They were indeed looking for Romulus. "I have to go! I can't let you get involved in my problems." Zeev angrily whisper-shouted at him. Romulus flinched. "You already did. Look closer outside." He pointed his finger out. Romulus lowered his head to see better. They had dogs, which were sniffing around.

"This is bad!" Romulus started to panic. Those dogs were specially trained to go only for one smell. HIS! He did mark the whole area to cause confusion, but sooner or later they would pick up the freshest scent. Zeev, the born leader, that he had a plan. "I will become a decoy and lead them away. You take Patty and run in the opposite direction into the forest. I can't trust those military people not to stay and search the apartments. I can't let her fall into their hands. You mentioned a cabin, which was high on a stone cliff. We will meet there."

Romulus was surprised. "Why do you help me?!" Zeeve's glowing eyes stared into his red. "It's not you, who I want to protect. It will be your fault, if something happens to Patty. Remember that! It's a warning!" Romulus sighed. Patty packed some needed things and waited for Zeeve to jump out of the window in front of the house, go around, and get the attention of the military convoy.

They swallowed the bait and rushed after him. Romulus took Patty on his back and they headed into the forest. Sadly they didn't expect someone would chase them. The dogs quickly picked up his scent and the crazy female doctor grinned in delight. She found her "love".

The crazy women with few men caught up on them soon, but not fast enough so they could spot, that he was accompanied by someone else. The barking dogs were closing in on them. The female doctor shot at Romulus a silver bolas, which flew into the darkness and wrapped around his hind legs. He fell to the ground making Patty fly over his head to the ground as well.

Luckily, no tree was in her way. In a different situation, she would break her back or neck. She was scratched and a little beaten up, but nothing was broken. Romulus was losing his werewolf form against the strong silver wires. He reached out his hand. "Fast... hide! And no matter what... please... stay hidden..."

Patty picked herself from the ground and hid behind the nearest tree. Dogs came rushing towards him, starting to tear his limbs. Romulus screamed in pain, but he had still the strength to protect himself. One by one he was breaking the necks of the dogs leaving them lying motionless in the snow.

Soon the white turned into crimson under him. The bite wounds were deep and bleeding like crazy. Patty was mortified. The dog handlers came to revenge on their four-legged partners, but Romulus waited till they were close enough to easily kill them as well. With his claws, he tore them to shreds.

The arrogant crazy doctor shot at him a silver net, which wrapped around his whole body causing him great pain. Not seconds later the silver in touch with his skin started to react. It began to steam all over his body, melting into his skin. He was screaming bloody murder. That sadistic woman came closer with a wide grin on her face.

Patty peeked from behind the tree. A tall blond woman with blue eyes around the same age as her stood in front of Romulus, who was kneeling down on the ground cramping in pain. She threw the net gun on the ground and from her belt she took out the taser. In great pleasure, she used it immediately on Romulus.

He fell to the ground exhausted. The woman took out a syringe with an unknown liquid. She began to undress. "You were escaping my gaze already for too long. Look at you, how you grew." She licked her lips. "Your mates failed to produce offspring, but I am sure you are different. I have decided I will be the best choice to carry your child. We shouldn't wait any longer."

She stepped with her shoe on his head pushing it into the snow. A sweet perfume scent lingered in the air. It took Romulus into the deepest darkness of his horrible memories about his past. It was so strong, that even Patty could smell it. Romulus gagged. Then she went down and began to touch his lower body inappropriately. Readying the syringe to inject into his body.

Patty was shocked. She could see how terrified and frozen Romulus laid on the ground with his eyes wide open. She won't allow it to happen to him. Slowly she bent her knees, not losing sight of that woman. Silently picked up a thick, but short branch hiding it in her coat. She covered her face with the hood. Took a deep breath and emerged out of her hiding spot walking towards that half-naked crazy woman.
