Chapter 4:

Farewell

Forced To Survive

They start devouring the road ahead of them, Without a moment to lose, their adrenaline pumping through their veins they surge on. After a couple of minutes of running, they found the unexpected,

The sun setting highlighted this sight before their eyes, A sand bump in the middle of a shore with a wet and worn object on top, Slowly getting closer and closer to this bump, Their faces filled with confusion about who could’ve left this behind.

They surrounded the bump looking down, There it was a soaked object, A paper object, All knowing what it was, the silence becoming deafening within the group,

“No, No, NO, HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE”- Yui

Yui hoped for some sort of reply to her question despite knowing the answer was met with silence. That is until, She started flowing her tears, Looking crystal clear with the speed of a waterfall. Kaz, being quick to react to the situation, embraces Yui into a hug, Hoping to achieve any kind of comfort, Seeing how Yui and the rest were standing there lost in thought, she couldn’t help but let a drop of her sadness start washing down her face.

“Is this my fault? Did he commit suicide, there's no way…”

Miru is stuck with her thoughts, ravaging her happiness and self-image apart, She knows what her group did to Grimm, She knows the pain she caused him, and She thought that it was her fault. An invisible field separates her from the rest, She's in her world reflecting on what has happened so far, In a cold void embracing her, Nothing to be heard, The voices of her mind against her being muffled, Logic thrown away.

With only one thought on her mind

“It was my fault, I'm the problem”

She knew what had to be done and was set on doing it, Going back to the supplies they brought along she looked around scuffling inside the bag,

“Guys don’t worry, I just need a drink”

She finally found it, A sharp wooden carved knife, With only one thing on her mind

“My fault, My fault, My fault, it was all my fault”

Full force towards her neck, She swings the carved knife, The connection of it touching was null, Right behind her stood Kevin, Holding her wrist in place.

“You know you shouldn’t be dying yet, There is still a lot left to do”

“Kevin…”

Miru still recovering from her inner thoughts struggles to muffle a single sound back, Kevin slaps Miru across the face.

“WE ALREADY LOST ONE WE AREN’T LOSING ANOTHER”

Kevin making sure everyone heard his roar worked, Everyone rushes over to Miru trying their ways of comforting her, She starts bawling her eyes out in front of everyone, This time there was a speck of pride left, She finally reached the breaking point and low point of her life.

The footballers still looking back at that novel are speechless, They can’t fold their tough act and let their emotions become unchecked, They will endure the emotional pain.

With everyone finally gaining back some composure of what happened, They all decide it’s best to stand around and pray for his afterlife.

“Grimm, We all wish you died in peace, We all wish you a happy afterlife, So please watch over us despite the good and bad we caused you, I’m sorry for what I did also”

“Farewell Grimm”

Author’s note: The fifth chapter of the series, This in conclusion has ended the first arc of the story. The support has been insane so I want to thank everyone who read this far. This is my first major novel. If this support continues then you can expect three arcs, I won't stretch the story too much. See you till then.
