Magic tools and the night stay

But still what the hell are these vampires doing, playing with these dangerous things.

If they want to kidnap people why not infiltrate the town and slowly kidnap the ones that have high magic power.

Or rather than that just kill those elder vampires and become the king that you want.

Why mess with others just for your ambitions dude.

And what is this vampire society anyways, like do something about these maniacs killing their brothers for position and making monster factories, causing stampedes everywhere.

I did ask Charlotte san about elder vampires too but she too only had vague idea.

According to her there are these so called elder vampires that donot show themselves but are said to be very scary and powerful.

Nobody has seen them or heard from them since 100 years now, but when her grandfather died, their clan received a message from the elders that they will choose the new king of their hidden village.

Her uncle acted fast and killed Charlotte’s father to become the sole heir to the throne but then the elders somehow knew that there was a true vampire alive that is Charlotte.

So her uncle decided to kill her and when he was not able to find her, he tried to pursue the dangerous path of artificially becoming a true vampire.

He might even be thinking of going against the elders once he became true vampire.

But according to Charlotte san the elders are far more powerful than her uncle thinks.

He is probably building this monster army to fight the elders and also to cause stampede and kidnap more women and maybe men too, to turn them into his subordinate vampires.

I just hope Robert san and Maxith san are safe too. Even though they always interfered with my dates, they were good and kind people.

As for why Charlotte san’s uncle not directly infiltrates the towns and steadily kidnap people, the answer is because there is no time for that.

Since the designated night, the big lunar day, when a vampire who drinks blood of 1000 virgins is only 9 days away now. And the next opportunity will come after 100 years only.

Anyways the dust from the blast has still not settled in the cave and things are still falling. But thank god it did not explode in the center hall, otherwise my escape route would have been blocked.

But one thing that bothers me is what happened to those 600 orcs. Are there 600 magic stones lying buried in the rubble. But I don’t think every one of them would have produced a magic stone.

These artificially produced dungeon monsters are definitely defective and sometimes their cores break after killing them.

After coming back I will try to retrieve those that are still left. I also checked if the D rank Orc Dropped any stone, but it was not so.

All the mana after killing it went to the dungeon core.

From what I can understand, it means that the dungeon master is connected to dungeon core and the core itself is its magic stone and once he is killed, it becomes possible to take out the core from pedestal until the core produces a new dungeon master.

Another thing I learnt is that Kral is not the name of dungeon master as the D rank orc was not named.

So that means dungeons are not named after their dungeon master. Since the dugeon master can be produced again.

That means the name Kral in ‘Kral dungeon’ might be name of the place or something else.

Now all I have to do is to deal with is the 1000 sleeping goblins and checkout the loot to see if anything would be useful in my journey and hide the rest somewhere.

I could hide it here, because I don’t see the dungeon collapsing even when its core is taken out. Apparently, it become a regular den when the core is destroyed and does not produces monsters.

I decided to kill the goblins with my dagger. It seems heatless and underhanded to kill the sleeping goblins but I need all the help I can get to free my friends and I donot care about such things right now.

I will gladly raise my level from sleeping goblins. Moreover I have already seen the devilish nature of this race and there is no pity for them in my heart.

In an hour, I killed all of them by stabbing their throats with a dagger.

My level is 24 now. I then chose the things useful for my journey and fight. Rest was stored in a hole I dug in a corner.

I also stored the magic stones of the goblins and the ones in the storage room as well as those being used in the magic circle.

I also completely erased the magic circle by digging as I don’t want this type of knowledge to spread.

The things I decided to take with me were money, one good quality leather armor set which was worn by one of the vampires, one good quality swords used by the vampires, all their maps and documents, 50 magic stones of D rank orcs and 30 C rank luminous stag for my wands that I was luckily able to find and two useful magic tools.

One of the magic tool was called shadow movement bracelet that used a B rank werewolf magic stone, as told by scan. It was worn by Roland.

Thank god I finished him instantly. If he had used this tool, I had no chance of surviving.

The other magic tool was also something that was quite useful. It was actually a watch. But it ran on magic stone ofcourse.

Similar to watches on earth it had 2 small wand shaped needles with 12 big markings that were further divided into 5 parts by smaller markings.

There was no needle for measuring seconds.

This is the tool that I needed but was too expensive. But now I was able to get it for free.

It was also worn by Roland. He seemed to be a particularly rich vampire.

Maybe he was the leader here. I hope his death does not anger some powerful vampires and I end up becoming a bounty target.

Anyway I thank him for such wonderful magic tools. The shadow magic tool is a B class magic tool, but there is one problem-

Yes, even though it seems awesome and the magic called shadow movement seems to be useful for my stealthy sniper style, I don’t know the magic chant for it.

Maybe my scan will level up and then I will be able to know that too. So with that hope I took it along with me for now.

The watch on the other hand does not have anything like chant. It just works. Seems like there was no anti-theft system developed for that.

The time now is 5 PM. I wasted all of today on just 2 hideouts. I need to speed up my progress and just focus on my objective here.

I can’t keep getting greedy and forget my purpose. Its only 9 days left now. I have to find Philia san and others before that.

I left the cave and came out. After some time of calling his name, Ashwood also came back.

Seems like it had wondered off to find something else to eat. I then started preparing early dinner.

I am thinking of moving to the next hideout and spending the night there after cleaning it up.

That is because the next one is a house type hideout and I think I and Ashwood would be able to safely spend night there.

I rode my horse for about 3 hours and reached near the house. I left Ashwood at some distance and then walked alone towards the house with a sword and earth bullet wand at ready.

The house was a two story building that seems to be quite old. The windows are closed so I could not look inside.

I tried to open the door but it too did not budge. I went to the backside of the house to see if there is a backdoor here and to my surprise it was there.

I pushed the door and it was open. Inside was dim and dusty. It seemed that the backdoor opened to the kitchen.

From the kitchen I went to the living room, that too was empty. After further checking all the rooms on the first floor, I was sure that there was no one here.

I then went to the second floor. There were only 3 rooms here. I checked all of them but they too were empty.

Seems like the vampires did not use this house since it was too conspicuous. But why is there is a house like this left alone on the outskirts of the Ghalia forest.

Maybe people just ignored it and kept it for travelers to rest.

After checking the house was safe, I brought Ashwood in the small shed built near the house and gave him some feed and water for night.

Since the door could be closed, Ashwood would be safe here.

I then went inside the house to see if there was anything useful here. But all I could find was torn clothes and dirty utensils.

The good thing was that the house had well built at the backside so I could wash my dirt and refilled my water supply.

Then I went to sleep inside the house. Since I was tired with all the fighting and travelling I instantly fell sleep.

The next morning after finishing my morning training, I got ready to resume my journey.

The next hideout is very far and it will take half a day to reach there even if Ashwood runs all the way there. So I left early in the morning in order to not to waste daylight in travel.

The journey was very ordinary with a few encounters with goblins and wolves here and there.

I killed them off while riding with my rock bullet. I could have used bow and arrow but that would have required a lot of skill.

And since now that I have 50 Rank D orc magic stones, I can afford to waste a few rock bullets on these small fries.
