Chapter 21

I closed my eyes in fear of the animal but I felt like someone was standing in front of me. I opened my eyes and saw Senpai standing in front of me! The dog didn't do anything to him but obediently wagged its tail. Then he shooed the dog and it went back inside. 

He turned and looked at me. He looked so beautiful in his outfit: a black polo shirt with the same colored pants and combat boots. He was wearing a white jacket and had a scarf with him. Meanwhile, I had been dumb to think my warm winter dress which had velvet sleeves would help keep me warm so I didn't had a jacket on. I was such an idiot! I was freezing!!

"Thank you," I said and turned to walk away. 

He followed me and gave me his jacket. 

"Take it. You're freezing," he said, blushing. 

I smiled at him and took it. I swear to God, he had the darkest blush on his face at that!

I started to walk ahead of him but then he intertwined his hand in mine. My eyes widened in shock and I blushed. 

"Let's walk like this so you don't get scared," he said, blushing. 

"I'm not scared!," I said. 

"Really? That dog would've killed you if I wouldn't have been there. You're scared!," he said. 

I got mad at him!

"Let go of my hand!," I said and undid his grip on my hand and walked ahead of him. 

As I was walking, I knew Senpai was behind. I had to show him that I wasn't scared at all. But then a drunk guy showed up. He was really disgusting and gave nasty vibes. He was leaning against an electric pole. I tried to not look at him because it was dark and he could definitely grab a hold of me. 

"Hey, babygirl," he said. 

I was disgusted and ignored him. I walked away but he followed me. 

"Where are you going, baby?," he said.

I stayed quiet and kept walking. 

"Answer me, kitten," he said and grabbed my shoulder. 

I was angry at him and I took off my heels and threw them at him. 

"Stay away from me, you drunk asshole!," I said and went to pick up my heels that I had thrown at him and that's when he grabbed my shoulder again. 

I was in a fit of rage right now. How dare he touch me?! 

Then he threw me against the wall and started to lean on top of my body. He had thrown me with so much power that tears had started to build up in my eyes due to the pain! I kept pushing and kicking him but it was just not enough. He put his hand on my waist and I kicked him in the stomach. I was so angry!!

He got up and was going to come back at me, when a guy cocked a gun behind his back. 

"Stay right there!," the policeman said. "Don't you dare touch the young lady again!," he said. 

I was so happy! 

"Thank you, sir!," I exclaimed. 

I picked up my heels, straightened my clothes that were ruined from the throw from earlier and started to walk away. The policeman handcuffed the drunk bastard and took him away. 

Just then, I felt someone hug me. It was Senpai! I could tell by his perfume. I hugged him back. 

"Are you ok? I'm sorry I didn't help you back there. I went to get a policeman from the police station nearby. I'm really sorry!," he said, while he hugged me. 

"It's ok, Senpai. I'm fine. I did get a bit scared but it's ok. I'm fine," I told him. 

"I'm so sorry I told you you're a scaredy cat. Actually, I've never met someone as strong as you. I'm sorry! Please forgive me," he said and broke the hug. 

I smiled at him and he put his index finger under my left eye. 

"You're crying!," he said.

"No, I'm not!," I said and broke into tears. 

He hugged me as soon as he saw me cry. I couldn't tell him how much I wanted him to be there when that guy was trying to touch me! I couldn't tell him how I wished he had kicked that guy's ass for me! I just couldn't tell him that I had become used to being someone he talked to! I just couldn't!!

"Please stop crying," he said, wiping my  tears. "It's ok. I'm here. Stop crying, Taki. Please! I'll protect you. I'm here!," he said. 

"I'm sorry I said I was fine but I'm not fine at all! Thank you for saying that I'm strong. That gives me strength but actually, I'm a human too! I'm a human that needs help!," I said, crying while gripping his shirt. "Senpai, I'm sorry I'm crying. I'm so, so sorry!," I said and broke the grip his hug had over me. 

I cleaned my runny nose and walked away from him.

"Taki, stop!," he shouted. 

I turned around to look at him. 

"Listen up. I love you!," he said. 

My world was knocked off its axis. 

What?! He what?! He loves me?! No!!

"What?!," I said, shocked. 

"Yes, I love you!," he said. "I've been in love with you since the day I met you," he said. 

He walked towards me and grabbed my hands and kissed the back of both of them turn by turn. 

"That's a lie, right? You're just saying that to make me feel good right now. Right? You don't possibly even like me. How could you love me?!," I said. 

"I love you because I do. I don't even need a reason to love you. Everything about you is so loveable. Hear it again. I love you!," he said. 

I was blushing just like him. He had confessed and I didn't know what to say. 

"I'll give you an answer when I come back from Hokkaido. I don't know what to say right now. Sorry but I'll answer you later," I said and ran away.
