Fight with the Werewolf

I came out of the cliff hideout only to find a level 60 werewolf standing behind me. I got careless. I should have come out with my conceal on.

I don’t know how the hell he climbed such a steep cliff but I don’t think I have time to think about that.

So I immediately ran down the stairs of the hideout again. The werewolf which was approaching slowly also started running towards me.

I immediately scanned the pathways and went past the hallway with pitfall trap. The werewolf came very close to me and attacked with its claw on my back with a slash.

But now that I flew some distance away, it took a straight path towards me but that was a mistake.

It triggered a pitfall trap on its way and a 2-meter-wide trap opened under its feet. But its speed was so high that by the time it opened, the werewolf’s front limbs were already clutching the edge of the cliff.

Still it’s body was inside the pit and was hanging it was barely hanging by the edge.

I could not miss this opportunity. I took out my rock bullet wand and gamma beam wand and fired them one after another.

The rock bullet was aimed at its forelimbs to make it loose its grip and fall in the pit and the gamma beam was aimed at its head to make it loose its consciousness.

The rock bullet made an impact but not enough to push it into the pit. The gamma beam impact was more useful as it seemed that the werewolf almost lost its consciousness after taking the hit, which made it slid more into the pit.

But It soon regained its footing. Meanwhile I took some wound heal potion out and drank it.

Since I cannot reach my back, I don’t know how bad I am hurt but my HP has dropped according to scan so I also drank some HP recovery potion.

I then took out a shield and my spear. I think fighting at a distance is best way of fighting this monster as I don’t think I can parry its fast claw attacks with a sword.

I went running towards it in order to stab and push the beast into the pit. But by then it had gained its footing and was almost out of the pit.

I did not lose hope and continued my charge. My spear charge was avoided but I expected that so I had another plan. I had another thing that I took out to take it by surprise.

It was the monster repelling bag that I had on hand. Its smelled very bad even for me so I know that this wolf monster will definitely find it repulsive.I took it out and threw its content on his face.

The monster growled and convulsed very rapidly and jumped back forgetting that there was an open pit there.

Before it realized it was already too late. It fell into the pit with only one fore limb still grappling the edge.

It was still trying to get out with the power of his claws and I think it will not take long for it to come out again.

So, I took out my wands and started chanting. I think 10 seconds have passed so I will fire gamma beam first as its cool down is over.

The wolf came out by pushing itself up but ate a gamma beam straight to its face, which again made it unconscious for some time.

Since it was still wobbling. I ran with my spear to stab it and push it into the pit.

But at the same time my rock bullet also fired and luckily it directly hit its eyes and gouged out a part of its brain. The werewolf fell on the ground and started convulsing very hard.

I was in no better shape and was losing consciousness due to pain and blood loss.

But I somehow managed to drink wound heal potion and pour some of it on my shoulder. Then I drank HP regeneration potion too.

One was not enough so I had to use two of each potion but I still could not get up and the pain was still high.

Maybe its bite had poison too. But the only antidote I have is for spider or for vampire and I don’t think it will work here.

I scanned myself and found that I was in fact losing HP with time even though my wound was now healed.

I decided to drink a bottle of whatever poison antidote I had. Although the pain reduced a little it did not cease completely.

Meanwhile the werewolf stopped convulsing and finally died. It was not a dungeon monster so it left a full body after dying.

I think I will only take out magic stone if it has one because I don’t think its wise to fill up my item box with this.

Maybe I can store it in one of those chests since they seemed to slow down the degrading rate. I will retrieve it later.

But first I have to do something about this poison. Maybe I can reduce it by drinking a lot of water and letting it out through sweat and pee.

I then somehow moved to one of the rooms beyond the hallway and closed the gate. Anyone can come here since the hatch is still open so I chose a room that could be closed from inside.

I drank a lot of water and ate food from my item box. My body was still in pain and sweating very badly.

After about 3 hours of being in pain, it reduced a little. And after 1 more hour my HP also became stable and did not fall anymore.

It was already night outside and I was very tired after suffering from pain for too long and wanted to sleep, so I decided to sleep here. I hope Ashwood is safe.

I woke up in the morning and after my daily morning routine, decided to leave the hideout. But first I decided to cut open the werewolf and take out the B rank dark attribute mana stone.

It was quite easy to locate with the help of my spirit eyes. The werewolf really have one even though it was not a dungeon generated monster.

The ones that live in high mana density area develop mana stone and are generally high ranking monster.

Since it had such a huge source of mana, it may have been capable of using some magic too.

I don’t know why it did not use it on me though or maybe it did and I did not know what.

Maybe it was a strength enhancement magic on its own body. My guess is that the light here also prevents usage of dark attribute magic so maybe I was saved by that.

That’s why he could not use his magic. I think he might be capable of something like shadow movement since the bracelet with that magic that I got from vampire Roland used the same magic stone.

Moreover, I now got an extra magic stone to use in that magic tool if needed. But first I need to know the chant to activate it.

I left the hideout and safely came back to the outskirts of the Ghalia forest. I was able to avoid all monsters since I was extra careful with conceal skill this time.

I also changed my chest, back and shoulder armor which was completely destroyed.

Leave him anywhere and he appears whenever you want. Anyways the next hideout was 2 days away and was very close to the place where the vampire abduction took place.

The journey was easy and I reached the next hideout which was also inside Ghalia forest.

Charlotte san made this map in a way that I could reach the hideouts while moving around the forest and took me to a point where I could reach the hideout easily.

I really appreciate her making this for me. She said that she only used a few of these hideouts herself so she did not know the exact state they were in but still it’s quite helpful.

On the way I killed many goblins and orcs and reached level 25. This time I camped outside during nighttime.

It was a little scary but Ashwood being a demon horse did not need much sleep so he kept the night watch for me.

The horse merchant told me that although not 100% safe, demon horse can keep night watch during emergencies. It did wake me up when a goblin or a wolf showed up but that only happened once or twice.

I think I have entered the C rank threshold of adventurer’s guild now in terms of stats. But I know my experience and skill are at most E.

I am surviving solely on sneak attacks and luck. I hope my luck keeps saving me.

To enter the next hideout, I left Ashwood on the outskirts of forest again. This demon horse has been very helpful. It’s very intelligent and cute. I left him with some hay and chickpeas for him to eat. I also place water in a big tub.

With the help of my conceal skill I reached the hideout which was a rock cave. But to my surprise it had become a nest for small dino type monsters that I had not encountered before.

These guys were overflowing in the area. I don’t think I need to waste time here but this could be a monster producing facility of the vampires too just like the goblin and orc one.
