PROLOGUE: MAN IN THE MIRROR

                                                                         PROLOGUE


The day was, February 13 2019

It was raining that day,

Alright I can do this! I just need to go out there ask her out right then and there, And It should all be good and dandy, Right? There's no way anything can go wrong the mood is perfect! It's just us two, All alone, And I have my perfect moment here. The worse she can say is 'No'? Amirite?

"I got this!" I whispered to my bathroom reflection

"Hell yeah you do!" My reflection replied with a happy smile

"The worse she can say is no right?" I asked sweating my heart out

"I mean yeah! Yeah! You go out there King!" My reflection replied

I walked out of there with confidence and went behind the school building and saw Her, That girl in my class whose smile that could light up a whole room, Eyes that I would get lost in, Her long lustrous hair that I had a fascination for, She was the one for me, She had to be!

"Franchez!" I yelled out from afar walking towards her with an umbrella in my hand

"Usogiman, I thought you left me!" She said jokingly

I walked up to her and the puddles of water that formed my reflection, I could see myself hyping me up jumping up and down and cheering me on, Filled with determination I asked "We've spent so much time together and... We've formed such a strong connection with eachother."

"We have! I really appreciate that. What about it?"

"But uh.. Besides that, I've been looking forward to say this for a while now."

"What is it?"

Frantically, I said "Will you be my Valentine? We've been friends for such a long time so I think it's about time I should've asked this!"

"Wh-- Haruki... There's actually been something I wanted to tell you too; I always knew you liked me, But I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I already have a boyfriend!"

"Wait--"

"We've been together for a while I just didn't want to tell you because it would break your little heart! I'm so sorry."

". . ."

"Wait, Usogiman?" Franchez asked holding my shoulder

"Are you alright? I hope we can stay as friends!"

"Yeah! All good. Go on ahead without me Alright?" I said smiling

She ran away in the endless rain to who knows where, Soon followed were my friends who ran towards me, I looked towards the puddle right next to me looking into my own reflection. He was just as shocked as me, I felt like a nobody I should have known someone as good as her was taken

"Yo! You good?" Kashikoi, Asked holding my shoulder

"Yeah! We saw what happened out there! Are you alright?" Albedo asked

With Tears rolling down my face I replied "Yeah, I'm alright!"

"Calm down Twerp!" Kashikoi replied letting go of my shoulder

"We can go play Video games if you want!' Albedo proposed

"Yeah, Let's go." I replied wiping off the tears on my face


PRESENT DAY



"Haruki Usogiman, Are you paying attention?" My Teacher yelled

It's been a while since then, I'm in an international high school now. During class I had a notification from my phone that still had the same sim card as my last, It was from one of my classmates from back then, I always dreaded Valentines day since That was the day I was rejected and was absent for

Anyhow, My classmate invited me to have a class reunion with all of us, Reluctantly knowing that my old crush was there I accepted, He told me the date and address and I set an alarm for the day getting prepared

On the day of the event It was noon, They told me to go to a fancy restaurant. My classmates would pay the bill for me whilst I feast and Enjoy, When I got there I was met by two familiar faces; Kashikoi, and Albedo

"Usogiman, Is that you? I haven't seen you in.. Forever!" Kashikoi said

Beside him was Albedo, The three of us were like an unstoppable trio, Usually there was an urban myth of trios going wrong. But turns out that really was a myth since that never happened to us!

"Usogiman!" Albedo yelled out

Holding my cap up and grinning looking at my old piers, I ran towards my friends and shared a huge embrace with them

"Albedo!, Kashikoi! It's been a while!" I yelled out

"Hell yeah it's been! Come inside some of our classmates are waiting for you!" Kashikoi said opening the door for me

Inside was most of my classmates, Some that couldn't attend, But most of them were there. I sat in a chair facing a girl with long dark hair.

"Usogiman.. Is that you?"

"Wait.. Are you.."

"I'm sure it is!" My reflection said to me from the reflection of the glass cup


It's Franchez


"Y-Yo.." I said stuttering in the process

"It's been a while!" She said smiling at me

She still had those eyes that made me mesmerized, I still cant stop staring at them, I could see myself in my own reflection hyping me up for confidence, Just like that day

"I've been meaning to tell you something." I told her

"Yeah..? Where ya goin with this Haruki?" My reflection said with a confused expression

"Hey, Franchez, you know what they say about people who bring umbrellas on a rainy day, right?"
