3. Nickname

Darza, Kiki and Eri finally arrived at Kiki's house. The boy with glasses was intrigued by the talking bird, so he decided to go to Kiki's house to listen further to the swan's explanation.

Kiki opened the door. The simple house looked empty. Even though it's not a big place, the atmosphere was very comfortable. Kiki's parents both worked and Kiki was an only child, so besides Sunday, she spends time alone at home during the day. The girl led Darza and the swan named Eri into the living room.

"Please take a seat," said Kiki. Kiki brought two glasses of orange juice and a plate of anchovies, then placed them on the living room table.

"P-please eat," Kiki said to the swan.

"Wow, thank you," Eri said.

Kiki then turned on the television. It seemed that Korean drama shows were being aired. Eri ate some of the anchovies that were served.

"Why are you afraid of me?" asked the swan who sat on the table.

"Sorry if I sound impolite, actually I'm afraid of ducks," Kiki answered with a smile and tried to be friendly.

"You know, swans aren't ducks, I told you already."

"I'm still afraid," Kiki said with a smile. There was a moment of silence.

"Oh yeah, so that we can get along better, may I know your names?" asked the swan called Eri.

"My name is Kiki," said Kiki. "My name is Darza," Darza told the swan.

"Nice to meet you Darza, nice to meet you ... what was your name?" Eri asked.

"Kiki," Kiki said.

"Chiki?" Eri asked again.

"Ki, ki," Kiki repeated.

"I'll just call you Chikitos," Eri said.

"Dejan, please tell this duck to call my name properly," said Kiki, complaining to Darza.

"Chikitos should call me Darza first," quipped Darza. But in his heart Darza liked the pet name Kiki had given him since kindergarten.

"Why are you on her side? Dejan, you're so mean," Kiki said playfully.

Television that broadcasted Korean dramas changed to breaking news. It showed a live recording of a girl flying with wings and surrounded by flames. The girl swang her stick. Shortly afterwards the vehicles on the road caught fire.

"Apparently Moraine has found her CygHost. Chikitos, we have to go there immediately," Eri spoke.
