The flying head and raging Minotaurus Boss

I managed to kill the three vampires but somehow an unexpected enemy did a number on me.

While I was busy killing the vampires, I forgot about the dungeon core. It had already been 20 minutes and the core had produced a new minotaurus.

That minotaurus did a rush attack on me from behind and had sent me flying.

I was badly hurt. One of the horn of minotaurus had impaled into the side of my stomach and I was bleeding. The minotaurus did not give me time to recover and was rushing towards me with another charge attack.

I took out my shield and spear and decided to impale the minotaur instead. Since my stats are high compared to it, I think I will be able to win again him in terms of pure strength.

But I was proved wrong. It seems speed momentum and instincts also play a vital role in fighting than pure stats.

My spear thrust was dodged and the minotaur impaled its horns in my shield and I was again blown away. But since the shield got stuck in its horns, the minotaur became busy in removing that.

Meanwhile I got time to chant my spell and fired gamma beam on it. I didn’t want to fire weak rock bullet and danger myself anymore.

The Gamma beam stuck its head and minotaur stopped moving. I somehow gathered my courage and impaled it’s neck with my spear while running and it died while leaving a C rank magic stone.

I took out some potions and cured myself but it seems the nightmare was not over yet.

Suddenly I was bitten on my neck from the back and felt as if someone was trying to suck every ounce of blood from me.

When I turned my eyes, I saw something truly terrifying. The beheaded head of Mark had flown and bitten me in the neck.

I was shocked and was in too much pain. I somehow took out my dagger and jammed it between his teeth and pushed it towards its head.

Meanwhile I saw that his body too stood up and started flying towards me. I was utterly terrified. What the hell is this undead.

I was being sucked dry and losing consciousness.

I took out another dagger and repeatedly struck its head, eyes and brain whatever I could. Even then it did not leave me and its body also grabbed me tightly.

With my last effort while lying on the floor, I took my gamma beam wand and fired it on its head and lost my consciousness.

I don’t know how much time had passed but I woke up in pain. My whole body was screaming in pain and I did not have much consciousness. I took out whatever potion I found and drank them and lost consciousness again.

I woke up again and this time the pain had subsided a little and my mind was a little clear so I went near the dungeon core and removed all the magic stones on the magic circle that were supplying it power.

This way the minotaur will take time to be born and then I took out vampire poison antidote and drank it. I also drank HP recovery and applied wound heal potion on my wounds and after that I lost consciousness again.

After waking for 3rd time, I was now able to sit and gather my thoughts. I looked at time in my magic watch and it was 4 AM of the next day.

I had lost a lot of blood yesterday and was very hungry so I took out food and started eating. Thankfully no more minotaur had been born while I was unconscious and Mark remained dead too.

I don’t know why he did not die even after cutting his head. Was this his special ability as being one of those 3 special class vampires that Charlotte san talked about or was it effect of my blood.

Does my blood has some special properties. I hope not. Otherwise I will probably become the number one target for all vampires.

I have already been gravely injured so many times. This mission is becoming more and more difficult but I knew it was not going to be easy.

I have already come this far. Now only 3 days are left and I have yet to find the prisoners. But I am sure I am very close. I have only 5 more hideouts left to explore near this area.

I gathered my energy and stood up. I collected the magic stones, equipment of vampires and then decided to clean up the dungeon.

This dungeon was called Mara’s dungeon and was a C class dungeon. That meant that the dungeon master would be a B class monster.

There were 400 minotaurus produced by the dungeon being kept and sleeping in a cage. I finished all of them by cutting their necks with a sword and collected their magic stones. I kept a few and stored the rest in a corner.

Next I checked all the rooms and collected money, tools potions, magic items, weapons etc. I also collected all the documents and maps the vampires had.

Lastly I went to the last remaining room where the dungeon master was being kept. Since I already removed the magic stones and destroyed the magic circle that was controlling the dungeon, I think this time it would be safe to kill the boss here.

And this time the dungeon core will not become overloaded after defeating the boss.

I also tried to remove the dungeon core without defeating the boss but it was not possible which confirmed my theory.

Still I was always ready to take the core in my item box and throw it in an isolated room at further end. First I had to defeat the level 61 B rank boss monster that was sleeping in a cage.

I already know that I cannot kill it with a sword as it will not penetrate so it is foolish to go inside the cage.

I have just lost so much blood and I don’t want to get wounded anymore so I have to strike it with all I have got so that I can finish it in one or two shorts.

I thought of an idea and went near the dead head of Mark. I extracted his saliva and smeared some arrows in it.

I am thinking of using the vampire poison first. Since it was very effective on me who has high stats, I think it will work well on the Minotaurus boss too.

After extracting the saliva I went to the boss room and took some distance from it with my bow ready. I also have my two wands ready that I will fire after the arrow. I aimed at the eyes of the sleeping monster and shot the arrow.

The arrow pierced through its eye. The Minotaur then woke up with a wild roar and pulled out the arrow.

I don’t know if the poison has effected it or not but it does seem to be loosing HP. I am already chanting Gamma beam but the Monster has broken out of the cage is running towards me even though my conceal was on.

Somehow it guessed the direction from which the arrow was fired and came running towards me even though I was concealed. As expected of a B rank monster.

I completed the chant for Gamma beam and fired on its head. Since it was charging in straight line, the spell hit directly on its head, but it did not stop its charge.

I started running sideways to avoid its charge. The Mino probably lost its consciousness during charge due to Gamma beam and just charged straight into a wall.

I did not miss the chance and fired rock bullet into its seemingly soft butt. The thing is the back of its head has horns and seems very hard so I aimed at its back side. The rock bullet penetrated the Mino’s butt and it shrieked in pain.

I immediately ran away and went outside the room. The Mino came after me in an enraged manner and after seeing me, it again charged at me.

But this time its horns started shining and suddenly fire started blazing on its horns. Is that a magic attack? The fire was in shape of horns and enveloped it. I am sure that I am as good as dead if that attack hits me.

The fire was too bright and it was difficult to see the trajectory of his charge. But I was somehow able to avoid it. The Mino didn’t stop there and turn around.

This time it jumped with a bang on the ground and a rock formation attack came at me. It was so fast that I did not get enough time to react.

Sharp rocks formed below me and hit me in my feet and thighs. A sharp rock spike had cut in my right thigh on the side and I was bleeding badly.

Thankfully, my other body parts were safe. Somehow, I bear with the pain and fired another Gamma beam at the charging Mino. It was still charging with its head on fire.

The beam hit the Mino but it again did not stop. I did slow it down though and I was able to safely get away from its charge. Its charge destroyed the rock spikes it had formed.

So this is the strength of a B rank monster. If not for my high initial stats, I would have been long dead.

The fight continued and the Mino again launched the rock formation attack but this time I was able to jump to the side.

Mino too started charging in my direction and it was now right in front of me.

With no other way to avoid its charge, I decided to roll to the side while chanting rock bullet, although it was high chance that I would be run over. To increase my chances of survive I fired the rock bullet at its dangling balls.

The rock bullet directly hit its third leg and balls, and pierced deeply. Now it has been penetrated both from the front and the back.

But I don’t think a male species would be happy with that. No, I don’t think any normal females would be happy with that too. Or maybe some of them will.

Anyways the bullet penetrated its dangos and they burst into blood and mucus. The Mino slowed down and fell down in mid charge.

Since it was running with quite a speed, it slid past me with its fire engulfed horns passing just an inch away from me.

It went past me and banged against the wall behind me but it was still very much alive.

My leg was hurt so I was in no position to stand up so I took out bow and arrow and fired few shots on its fallen body and after getting hit with the 4th short it finally died.

I drank my potions and applied them on wound too. After some time, I got up and recovered the dungeon core from the pedestal.

The Mino did not leave anything which proved my theory that the dungeon master is core manifestation. The core was a B rank dungeon core and I am sure it would make a hell of a magic tool if used.

I gathered the materials from everywhere and hid them in a hole in the ground and covered it. Now that this cave is a normal cave and not a dungeon, I think these will not be lost at least till the cave becomes dungeon again or someone discovers this.

But I think that will take some time and I will be able to recover these before that.

I took money, potions, tools, magic stones and some armor and weapons that I could use on the way.

Sadly, most vampires don’t use armor or weapons so I could not upgrade to any good ones. On the other hand they do have some good quality robes, magic items and wands.

This time I got my hands on a C class robe from Mark that was enchanted with fire magic enhancement and light magic absorption.

He also had good stash of precious gems, magic stones and magic tools.

There was also a good magic item in Mark’s room which he was not wearing and I thank him for that otherwise I would have been discovered a long time ago.

I scanned the said magic tool and it was a life detection bracelet.
