I don’t know what type of monster Panoptes is but its eyes seem to be used to make this bracelet.

This bracelet has a glass like mound on its top with a huge green eye on it.There are various magic circles drawn under the eye in the glass. This bracelet is creepy as the eye has veins popping at the side of it.

Right now the eye is closed but I am sure it will open once I activate the bracelet with its spell. But then again I don’t know the activation spell and I am half grateful for that this time since I don’t want to see that eye opening.

Also multiple C grade magic stones of life magic attribute is attached that come from a monster called green mandragora which is probably the famous mandrake plant monster.

I noticed that the magic wands don’t have mana capacity in their scan because there the limit is determined by number of circuits only and since only one magic stone can be attached on a wand

But that is not the case for other magic tools and they have mana capacity too in their scans.

I wish this world could have developed magic tools that could have used mana in the environment.

Then I could have something like a ring that restores mana or increases mana limit. Maybe I can find someone who can develop that using the dungeon cores.

Anyway storing the bracelet in my item box, I tidied up and ate some food and drank water. It is already night so I decided to stay here and sleep.

Now I only have 3 days left. I don’t want to sleep now but I don’t have a choice as I am dead tired and fighting like that will only lead to me being killed.

Also since only 3 more hideouts are left to explore and I am sure I can cover them in 2 days since they are not that far now.

Early in the morning after doing my daily routine, I went out and made my way towards the exit. Ashwood came running to me after calling for some time. But this time it had a wound on its stomach.

It was probably attacked. Poor horse. I applied some wound heal potion on it and it got healed. I also fed him some chick peas and water. I also gave him some stamina potion which I had acquired.

After that we made our way towards the next hideout. We were moving towards the border of this country according to the map. I don’t know the name of the country across the border but the thick Ghalia forest forms the natural no man’s land in between the two.

The hideouts are located in this no man’s land and are quite deep inside. I think it would take about half a day to reach the outskirt and half a day more on foot to traverse inside the forest.

This time I would go inside the thickest part of the Ghalia forest so I am sure I am bound to encounter B rank monsters and may be even an A rank.

My last encounter with B rank Minotaurus taught me that they are not something to mess with lightly. The spells it used were very powerful and terrifying.

I wish my scan would level up fast and start telling me about the spells, the monsters can use too. Also I cannot even begin to imagine what an A rank monster can do.

Right now I am level 38 after all that killing and my stats are now between 400 and 550, almost same as an A rank 80 monster.

But their usage of skills and magic would be based on instinct and tested in real battles. On the other hand, I don’t know my skills and I only have 2 magic at hand, that too have restriction of chanting and cool down.

So I will be at disadvantage because my only advantage till now, of stats will be lost while facing A rank monster.

After traveling for 5 hours on Ashwood, I reached the periphery of forest where I need to leave my horse. Now I will have to travel through Ghalia forest on my own since all the hideouts are inside and close to each other. So I will not return now until I save those girls.

I gave some food and water to Ashwood and told him that it would be ok for him to go to a safer place by himself.

I don’t know if he under stood or not because I don’t want him to keep waiting here for 2 or more days in this dangerous area. Ashwood neighed and rubbed his horned head on my face as if telling me to be careful and walked back towards the way we came from.

Seems like he understood my words, somehow. It’s very surprising how he is so intelligent. I hope I will be able to find him afterwards as I would like to continue travelling with him.

I then prepared myself, checked all my gear, ready my sword and wand and went inside the forest. This time I was extra careful to travel while my keeping my conceal skill on. The forest growth was very thick and it was even more difficult to walk as there were roots of trees everywhere.

While travelling I first saw many colonies of hobgoblins, orcs, ogres, fire apes and many more. But I was somehow able to avoid all those monsters.

I did had problem with wolves as they could still smell the places where I walked through but I was able to throw them off by smearing goblin poo on my shoes which made the wolves whimper and walk away just at a small whiff of it. But I had to travel while constantly bearing its smell.

I then came across a Cyclopes monster. It was a huge one eyed muscular man and its level was 57. It was probably just at the threshold of being a B rank monster.

The cyclopes was naked and only had a big tree truck as a weapon that was thin from one end that helped to hold it. Only a few monster colonies I saw were clothed till now so it was not surprising. But the size of his log sure was.

The hobgoblins and Orcs were mostly armored but the rest were not. Probably because it was easy to get the armor of their size by thieving it from humans.

Another dangerous monster species I saw were the spiders. They were very huge, almost as big as a small car and were hanging on the trees.

They had even set up their webs to catch preys and I had already seen numerous hobgoblins and orcs being devoured while alive.

They were very scary so I had to keep my eyes constantly open and scan again and again to avoid their web traps as they were almost transparent.

I was having so much hard time in avoiding them all that it took me half an hour just to walk one kilometer. At this rate I might not be able to reach the hideouts anymore.

But while I was scanning again and again something unexpected happened. My scan leveled up and there was another entry in my scan.

I quickly scanned myself to see if I could see my skills but sadly the new entry was just the ‘State’ which had a ‘normal’ value against it.

Now I can maybe tell if I am under any abnormal status with my scan. But there was something very good in terms of magic items.

The new entry added was ‘Operating keyword’ which literally told me the bit that was to be changed in the general chant of the magic items.

The general chant for the magic wand always started with

I pray to Goddess Josephina, ------- O “ element” and -------- “ Name of magic”

For example the chant for my rock bullet wand goes as –

I pray to Goddess Josephina, Rise O Earth and fire at my enemies- Rock Bullet!

So all I need to know is what to fill in the two place, the name of element of magic and the name of magic itself.

Although this generalization I had made by only seeing a few magic items but it stood true since my scan now supported this conjecture.

Now my scan was showing me the operating keywords that I need to insert in the element name and name of magic.

I took out the detection bracelet and it had two keywords as per my scan. The first was ‘Bloom’ and second was ‘ find the living’. So I decided to wear the bracelet and sent some mana to it and chanted.

“I pray to Goddess Josephina, Bloom O Life and find the living – Life Detection! “

As soon as I chanted that, the creepy eye on the bracelet opened and started looking around vigorously.

I somehow resisted the urge to open the bracelet and throw it away in disgust but I needed this magic right now.

I felt the urge to close my eyes. After doing so, it was as if I was seeing the whole place around me as a radar and I could sense the bigger life sources around me.

The eye somehow was tweaked to ignore the trees and small life forms like plants and insects and only focused on the big monsters and such.

This was very helpful otherwise I would have gone mad by detecting all of that. This detection can help me avoid A and B rank monsters from great distance as its range is 800 meters.

Speaking of A rank, I also scanned all the A rank magic wands and grimoire I got from the undead hideout, but even after trying to use them, I was unable to fire any magic.

Maybe there was some other requirement in using an A rank item or its just that my mana manipulation level is not high enough to activate them.
