Chapter 42:

All out

Hacker Class

Alden drew his hand back and thew Shadow Moon toward the giant monster, that monster was his first target. It would troublesome if it stuck around.

As soon as it left his hand, the staff disappeared, and all that was left was grey mist.

The monster, who was raising it's sword to block what it thought was an incoming attack, paused in it's movements, confused.

"Watch out!" Dillon yelled, as he turned around to face his monster. A giant shockwave was formed as something struck the monster, and the Sword staff appeared.

It stuck in the beast's chest, and the beast looked down, it's face full of surprise. It disappeared with a poof.

Alden guessed this monster was his strongest one. That's why each time he resummoned it, it had a huge cost.

"Your opponent is here," Prince teased as his daggers flew toward the Necromancer. The sword was there to block the attack. Their fight continued, and Alden focused on his.

Alden held out his arm, and the sword staff flew back into his palm. He clasped it, before standing in a defensive pose.

"Let's get this over with."

Aldens puppets disappeared, before appearing within the midst of the monsters. They began launching attacks on the monsters, disappearing, and launching new attacks.

Blue light lit up the tunnel from their attacks. The opposition was thrown into chaos, as they tried to attack the shadow puppets but it was like fighting a ghost.

There was one problem, however. These monsters had intelligence, and their master did not have to control them, step by step. The same did not apply to Aldens puppets. Alden had to admit, it was definitely a brilliant ability, necromancy, that is.

That's why when the monsters began to ignore the puppets and charged toward Alden, he knew he was in trouble.

"Mxm!" Alden grew a little agitated as he had to use his sword staff and fight off 3 orcs that had reached him.

"Leave...me...alone!" He sliced through the monsters with expertise, ducking and avoiding attacks easily. This was because he had the skill [STAFF TECHNIQUE]."There's no experience for killing you guys! Useless! Useless!"

Aldens puppets were destroyed, since he had stopped controlling them, and they were left exposed in the open.

"If only I could use [GRAVITY] like Sarah Foster. The weight of a hand would crush an entire army!" Alden thought as he fought like a madman. Alden imagined a physical hand, so large it would easily crush the armies.

"Wait!" Alden thought to himself.

He would try something.

Alden leapt away to a high spot. And stretched out his hand, trying to focus, an attack from a Doom Bat however, distracted him momentarily.

"Mxm!" Alden clicked his tongues as he swung his blade, tearing through the creature.

"7 Doom bats remaining," Alden thought. He threw Shadow Moon, which tore through two Doom Bats at a time. He summoned his dagger, and put down another. He needed to hurry, the lizards were getting close. He threw his dagger, trying to hit a Doom Bat, but missing.

Alden had to jump away from where he stood, to a new ledge, since the lizards had reached where he stood.

Alden managed to take out two more Bats, and the remaining two flew toward him. Alden punched at one, killing it with a single strike. Then, he summoned his dagger, and killed the last one.

Now, he could focus. Alden quickly did what he intended to do. Suddenly, at the bottom. A giant hand, made out of rock formed. It was massive and Alden sent it toward the monsters who were concentrated at the bottom.

The arm disappeared with a single blow, but so did the monsters. None remained.

Alden leapt to the bottom, and walked toward Dillon. Slow and angry steps.

Dillon just stood there now, and watched him. Alden swung his hand, his hand flew toward the mans face. Alden unconsciously waited for it to connect to Dillon's face, but the connection never came.

Alden felt a hand clasp around his forearm, stopping his punch. Alden's eyes widened in surprise because before him, stood Captain Sarah Foster. Her piercing green eyes met Alden's black ones.

"That's enough."
