Chapter 280:

Pitch

Museworld

“That sure sucked…” Limping out of the special meeting, not one of the three of them was very happy, even the accused criminal who’d just gotten off basically scot-free.

“I don’t ever wanna see her stupid cartoons after that.” Katie had already made somewhat of an enemy of Rogue’s director, turning up her nose at the very thought of the woman.

“She’s not a bad person-“ Frankie stressed. “But- but I wish she’d see herself differently…”

“Like how you see her?” Tara twisted much in the same way she would. It wasn’t an inaccurate guess, to be fair.

“I think that’s how she really is, this isn’t just me idolizing her… she’s a revolutionary artist, objectively.”

“Maybe I shouldn’t have let you meet your idol…” The guide was rethinking things with a cool metal finger to their chin. “She’s not actually very interesting, is she?”

“…We’ll see. We’ll see.”

“We will?” Katie almost stopped as they were marching aimlessly down the park streets. She didn’t want to talk to that woman ever again.

“I think… I can fix her.”

“Heard that one before.”

“I’m serious, Tara- just, look-“ The younger sibling picked up a pamphlet from outside the store. The things were littered everywhere in the city, given out to just about every establishment.

It had a picture of one of the newer Die Rangers to draw attention, but the call to action was front-and-center, written in just about every language known to the human tongue:

We need writers!

Pitch your show to STUDIO ROGUE now!

Right away!

Do it!

You can do it!

You aren’t giving up, are you?

There are so many people out there waiting to watch!

Start your life today!

It actually went on for awhile after that, but Frankie didn’t have time to read the handout’s inspirational speech.

“…You wanna pitch a show?” Tala’s interest perked back up.

Quite embarrassingly, Frankie was almost cackling.

“Not just any show. The best one this company’s ever freaking seen…”

“Wait wait wait.” In her stewing mind, Katie was just about to start hating this park when she picked up what her otaku sister was putting down. “Oh! Like, like- do you mean-“

“Percy needs an anime. Now.”
