God tests you by giving you everything you've wanted


Again, I found myself in a dark field of blue shining flowers, I remembered what happened to me last time so I was more cautious. Rather than a smoothing tune in the background there was nothing, I stood up to look around

"Franchez?" I yelled out in the distance

"Not quite." Someone from behind me said

I looked behind to see myself, Well.. A spitting image of me standing and looking down towards me, I was spooked and move back quite a bit, But That sense of unease soon went nill when he said

"Now this is freaky like friday." I murmured

"Fall."

"Wait a Minute I was kiddi--" I said as I fell to the ground limpless

"Haruki, It's my turn after years of waiting.. Thank you for this opportunity."

"W.. Who are you??" I replied panting

"Who do You think I am?"

"You're me."

ALBEDO'S POV



BZZZZZZZZZZ....


"Look's like He's not answerin." I said to Diego

"Weird, He should have been here somewhere.. I saw him earlier but He was acting quite.. Strange If I do say so myself."

"Well Whatever." I said putting my phone back into my pocket

"Have you seen him anywhere at all?"

"Well.. I saw him earlier at class, But the dude hardly talks to anyone. He only talks to his seatmate and keeps his thoughts to himself, He likes to read sometimes. So maybe some activity that has reading? Maybe a library or someplace like that."

"Maybe.. Got any more tips?"

"Well.. I dont have expertise on a emo relatively shy emo teenager so I have no clue. Well.. Maybe he's off trying to show off his emo phase or whatever shy boys do nowadays. It's best to find someone who he's close with, I doubt he'd tell anything to me anyways." He said walking away

"That wasn't really helpful, That guy has like zero friends.." I whispered

I decided to walk out of Harukis school and on the way I bumped into Kashikoi and Kenth

"Hey Albedo! Howz It goin!"

"Yooo Kashikoi! Where are you two headed?"

"Me and Kenth-i-boy over here about to head off to a gym, That's why he has this big ass bag with him, Usually He'd get his girlfriend to come with him but She's probably busy or some shit."

"Neat, Also.. Have you seen Haruki anywhere?"

"I have no clue, Haven't seen him anywhere.. The only reason we're at his school is cause his girlfriend is here--"

"Yeah she left already though." Kenth interrupted

"Oh.. Thanks!" I said running away from them

"Taaaakeee Caaareee Albedoooo!" Kashikoi yelled

"Alright so how do I do this? Well.. Let's get thinking."

First, I remembered that Haruki was never one for big crowds or bustling places. He liked his peace and quiet, away from too many people. That meant places like the mall or a busy cafe were probably not his scene.

Second, Haruki had this deep love for nature. When we were kids he'd often talk about how much he enjoyed the calmness of the park near his house. So, my hunch was leaning towards him being at the park.

Third, Haruki was an avid reader.. And where would the best place be to read? Maybe someplace like the park or such.. And He's probably so engrossed into this story that he's lost track of time.

Putting all these pieces together, I made my guess. I thought, "Haruki's most likely at the park, sitting on a bench, nose buried in his book, soaking in the peaceful vibes." It made sense given his shy and book-loving personality.

"Alright, I have my idea." I said out-loud

Taking the route to where the park should be I found Haruki sitting on the grass staring into the sunset with his mouth wide open like he's smiling

"Yo." I said walking closer

"Heyyyy.. It's been a while hasnt it?" He replied

"Mannnnn.. I really don't know what you expected from me.. How did ya even find me anyway?"

"I guessed. You are acting.. Strange."

"Well.. Life's just tirin ya know? Tell me more about ya self Albedo?"

This doesn't feel.. Right

"Well, I have a twin brother that I haven't seen for a few years or so, I kinda miss him but then again he kinda changed on me, He switched up on me like on the other side of the court or something."

"That's sweet and all but... Why don't you just talk to him?"

"It's kind of complicated.. And I use that term loosely."

This isn't the normal Haruki I've spoken to, Maybe he got some screws loose, Or probably got broken hearted or some stupid stuff like that, I doubt he'd be stupid enough to change his attitude cause of that

"So what happened to you and Franchez?"  I asked pointing towards him

"Actually... I've haven't spoken to her in a while.. How's she doin?"

"Uhhh, She told me to update you about that hang out we were planning around a week ago. So maybe, We wanted to ask you if you were free tomorrow?"

"Sure.. I guess.. Well, Yeah sure.. Tomorrow is a Saturday right?"

"I might get home late since I have Kumon but.. It's worth a shot anyway, I'll just update you if I'm getting home late, Here's my phone number." I said pulling out my phone

"Ohh.. Suree.. I guess." He replied taking out his phone and putting my phone number in his contacts

"Y'good Haruki? You don't sound or look okay if I'm honest. Initially I thought it was because of the whole Franchez situation but you're acting really really strange."

"I've just been really tired.. That's all, Don't worry about me Albedo" He said pulling out a cigarette

"Woah." I said slapping away his cigarette

"You started smoking Haruki? Haruki never smokes.. Wait a minute, Something's not right. Haruki would never smoke, Wait.. Are you even Haruki--?"

Suddenly Haruki stood up and placed his hand on my face and clinched my jaw, And he lifted me up and pinned me to a nearby tree

"You're so Annoying! Get your filthy hands off me! What good will it do if you know that I'm not Haruki Huh?! Especially since I'm about to kill you!" Haruki yelled out

I could feel people watching us, It was like we were the main event, I couldn't even talk since he had his hand in my mouth. Suddenly, Muscle bulge out of Harukis Body, Like he was another person. Not the skinny/lanky Haruki I knew.. Who the hell is this guy?!

"Your face.. You... aren't Haruki!" I managed to squeeze out the words

"You really are perceptive aren't you Albedo? Perhaps I made myself too obvious.. I'm still learning how to work this thing. You have the insight to see people for who they really are, And because of that; That is your biggest misfortune. People who know my true nature are not allowed to exist in this world. I have learned much from you Albedo, Thank you my Teacher. And now, For your education--" Haruki said raising his other hand towards my forehead

"I'd never learn anything from a False scholar like you!" I replied slapping away Harukis hand

"It truly was a shame Albedo.. That I have to kill you right here and now. But, Before I do I have a question, You remember who Kenth is.. Right? Can you try to find.. Where he is? For me?" He asked

"Asshole, You think I'd try to work for a sloppy piece of shit like you?!"

Haruki grabbed a pocket knife from his sock and raised it toward my mouth

"Now say that.. Again."

"Fine.. Uh, Let me think.. He's a Taekwondo player.. What do Taekwondo players do, Do Taekwondo! Duhh, But Where does he go after class? The gym! And there's only 3 Taekwondo gyms here, I'm not that close with the guy since he's a newbie to me but since he had a red and white jacket on that day i think we can narrow it to.. The 'Active-Fit Gym'!" I blurted out

"Heh, You really are reliable Albedo, I'll give you one last chance Albedo."

He raised his arm towards my forehead and murmured something an--







"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" I yelled out screaming from my bed

"What the hell? What happened to me, What kind of dream was that. It felt so real... It's like I was controlling my own dream or something like that."

"But that's impossible right?" A voice nearby said

I looked around looking where the noise came from but all I saw was a glass full of water on my desk,

"What the.. I swear to god I'm hearing things now. I think I ate too much earlier."
