Almost dying

For the purpose of killing almost 100 gargoyles instantly, I searched around the vampires’ belongings to see if I could find something suitable.

And I finally found the wands of the vampires. The female vampires used a telekinesis wand, a paralysis wand, a sleep wand, that were all C rank.

Since the gargoyle bodies are quite tough, it seems like they put them under sleep and paralysis with magic and not by injecting drugs like the other facilities.

Moreover it is safer because touching the gargoyle would cause petrification. So they were probably controlling them using telekinesis, then putting them into paralysis and then making them sleep.

I can use these but what I need right now is firepower or something that could affect wide area like the poison rain. It would have been good if the gargoyles were not resistant to poison.

But I immediately found something good. Inside Vlad’s room was a B rank wand of area freeze. This was exactly what I was looking for.

With this I can freeze those gargoyles’ lower halves and take my time to finish them off without worrying about them flying. I fit these wands in my right and left hand bracelets along with others.

I used the wand and fired the area freeze spell on the 100 gargoyles lying in the cage. Once their lower halves were frozen, I started finishing them off with rock spikes and rock bullet. I have enough magic stones of B rank earth attribute mana so I can use these two freely.

After finishing the gargoyles, all that was left were their magic stones. The magic stones of these gargoyles possess a high amount of wind magic and mind magic attribute. Now I have to finish off the dungeon master and then take out the dungeon core so that I can freely rescue the 46 people, that is if they really are the prisoners.

The dungeon master was in a separate room sleeping in a big cage. It was a purple colored big macho form of gargoyle. I scanned it and what surprised me was that it was a named monster called Goliath. It was level 72, even higher than that of Vlad.

This dungeon is a B class dungeon called Shir’s dungeon and the boss is nothing to scoff off at. Is it an A rank monster, I don’t know. But since it’s a named monster, it’s definitely not something that would go down easily.

I think, it would be better to save the prisoners before messing with this thing. But the problem is that the prisoners are beyond the door of this room and they would have to cross this room to escape.

Although very less, but there is a chance that this thing might wake up in the process, which was not be good. So I have to decide weather to kill this first or save the prisoners first.

So I decided to kill it first. My plan is to lure it into the dungeon core room, so that this room does not collapse during our fight. Ideally it would be best if it dies with first few of my attacks but that possibility is quite low.

First I fired an area freeze at the monster and then fired paralysis. This did not wake it up. Next I fired iron javelins, but after eating that attack the Goliath gargoyle woke up with a roar which almost shattered my ear drums.

It started beating its muscular chest like a gorilla and tried to fly. But since its lower body was frozen and paralysis was also playing some role, it was unable to spread its wings.

The angry monster looked around for the enemy responsible for attacking him. I however already had shadow movement activated along with conceal skill and was hiding behind a stone slab.

Not finding any enemy the Gargoyle launched a sonic boom like attack from its mouth on its legs to break the ice.

It did free him but its wings were still drooping down due to paralysis. I fired a sleeping spell on it from my hiding spot.

The spell hit it but did not take effect immediately and since the Goliath came to know my rough position, it immediately fired a slash like attack that cleaved the rock slab in half.

Fortunately, I was curled up on one side of the slab so I was saved but the wind slash passed just inches away from me.

I knew that staying here was not good as it was possible that the gargoyle can fire some mind attack too. So I undid my shadow movement and ran away towards the dungeon core room as I originally planned.

Then I heard the sound of the iron prison being crushed and broken from the room. The Goliath came into the dungeon core room and started looking for me.

I fired a gamma beam on its head from my hiding spot and immediately followed it by another paralysis spell. I need to keep it on ground otherwise, I am as good as dead. Since the gamma beam stunned it, I fired a combo of earth pit and rock spikes at him.

The goliath fell in the pit but it barely fit in there. Its size was as big as one meter.

The goliath regained his balance and came out of the pit with his hands but I was ready with rock bullet that hit its hand and it again fell into the pit.

I moved a little close to the pit to fire a volley of earth javelins but the ground started cracking and the area around the pit collapsed.

I got caught and fell in the rubble. I was not hurt but one of my leg was under a huge rock and I could not move.

The goliath jumped out of the huge hole that had been formed and stood at the corner of the pit. It then looked down on me enraged. Seems like it also had something like a ground shaker skill or magic that caused this situation.

The Goliath roared and jumped at me to finish me off with its huge claws. I took out my shield to help me parry it and fired another paralysis spell on it to weaken the power of its claw slash.

I was successfully able to parry the slash but the goliath also fired a sonic boom attack on me. This exploded my ear drums and I lost my ability to hear as well as balance of my body was thrown off.

The situation was getting more and more dangerous. There was also the risk of petrification and that would mean death.

I fired another gamma beam at the goliath that made it stunned and then fired a rock bullet on the rubble that was over my leg to break it apart.

I was able to free my leg and somehow get some distance from the Goliath and fired an area freeze spell directly at it.

It was very difficult to balance my body right now and pain in my ears was very unbearable. I somehow suppressed my desire to give in and lose consciousness but the Goliath was not giving me time to stabilize.

The Goliath which was completely frozen somehow glowed and launched some kind of mind attack. This attack hit me directly and made me lose all my senses.

I felt as if all hope was lost and was attacked by feeling of misery, confusion and anger all at the same time.

My mind was a mess and I could not think anything at all. I lost the sense of what was happening in front of me and fell on my back and lost consciousness completely.

So this is how I die…..I just wanted to save them…..Philia san…..I am sorry.

I don’t know after how much time, I opened my eyes and saw that I was lying on someone’s lap and two huge mounds were in front of my face.

I was still confused and thought that maybe I had died and I was sent to heaven or something but I knew that was not the case because, I was still lying on a hard stone floor and the surroundings were the same cave that I had been fighting in. But then who was this angel that was giving me lap pillow like this?

Is it that route? In one of the anime I saw, the monster gorilla turned out to be a female and was attracted to the main character because of his body smell.

And after falling in love with him during their fight, it transformed into a bouncy woman. Did the Goliath also turned into a boing boing female?

Not minding my weird fantasies, the owner of the twin peaks, finally peaked at me and showed her face and it was none other than Charlotte san.

Of course how could I forget this bombastic body. This was definitely the bombastic body of Charlotte san and not the Goliath.

“..Are you Ok Ray!, does it hurt somewhere?”

“…Yeah, …somehow I am fine and I can hear too, my ears are healed too. But are you really charlotte san right?”

“What…you already forgot how I looked like, and here I thought I was quite a beauty. You are hurting me you know?”

“NO! not that, I mean seriously , What the hell are you doing here? Did you not say that you would be running away so that you don’t get killed by your uncle and his rouge vampires. Why are you here then?”

I somehow got heated up for some reason and asked her while shaking her shoulders. She was quite taken aback with me holding her shoulders but answered me awkwardly.

“The thing is….you know….it’s hard to say, but I could not forget it you know….it was my first time….”

“What the hell!”

I almost chopped her head for saying stupid things but settled for pulling her cheeks, the things she was saying were making me red too. When did I lay a hand on her?

“Ow! Ow Ow! Why are you always so violent with me. Are you a sadist?”

“No! it’s because you say those weird things and my taste is quite vanilla by the way”

What the hell is she making me say? I am always losing my calm and control over my emotions when I am with her.

“Listen to me first!. YOU! You always just listen to halfway and then suddenly start doing violent things….

I said I could not forget the taste of your blood. It was my first time drinking blood of a male and that too a virgin.

So I followed you in my bat form to keep an eye on you. I was simply waiting for you to give up and then once you were beaten by a goblin or an orc, I would save you and take you with me.

I did not expect you to finish off not only hundreds of monsters but also so many of my uncle’s henchmen.You truly amaze me…..

But I did not follow you inside the dungeons because I was scared so I don’t know how you fought with them but I could tell by the smell of their blood on you that you had killed them when you came out.

Do you even know how worriedly I spent those nights waiting for you to come out of those dungeons?. I spent so many nights shaking in fear in my bat body on a branch of a tree. “

She said that in a very rapid and angry way while pouting cutely. Seeing her like this loosened me a bit.

The tension of this whole rescue mission seemed to have piled up quite a lot of stress on me.

I loosened my body and sat down and gave into my instincts. My arms automatically wrapped around the plumb body of Charlotte and my face buried at side of her neck and purple hair.

“Thank You Charlotte Onee san for saving me. Thank you very much.”
