The third dungeon facility

Even though the gargoyles were causing such ruckus, nobody seemed to be coming out of the dungeon to check.

Either there was really nobody inside the dungeon like my life detection told or they were quite confident that the gargoyles can handle everything themselves.

But since the gargoyles came a little low to do their attack, it gave an opportunity to attack them.

So, I fired a gamma beam at one of them. It hit the same one that had been hit previously with iron javelins.

The gamma beam had an immediate effect. The gargoyle stopped flying and fell on the ground.

The other gargoyles became wary and flew high in the sky and started firing some kind of teeth shaped rocks from its mouth towards me.

I was already running away from the place so the rock teethes did not hit me but they did went past a few trees, cutting them like butter.

That attack is on another level as compared to my rock bullet. Meanwhile the other gargoyle also started flying again though a little slowly.

The gamma beam seems to stun these gargoyle for some time, so I can finish the off after that. I don’t want to waste my gamma beams too much so I would try to do in two shots only.

So after my cool down completed I fired gamma beam on one of the gargoyle and once it fell on the ground, I fired iron javelins at it.

The javelins skewered the gargoyle and it died. But I got a little delayed in getting away from my attacking spot and the other gargoyles launched some kind of mental attack on me. My head started spinning and I could not even think properly.

My shadow movement magic had not worn off yet since its duration was 20 minutes for one time use and then a cool down of 5 minutes. So the gargoyles did not know if their attack hit me or not and did not do a second attack on me.

I don’t know if there was any kind of potion to cure the mind attack or not but right now all I could do was lie down and try to keep my thoughts stable.

I was down on the ground holding my head and drank some potions. I tried to scan myself but it made my headache even worse. I did see my state was ‘mind chaos’.

So I had fallen under mind chaos spell from the gargoyle. I had no choice but to rest there and wait till its effect was over.

After half an hour I got my bearings again and my state became normal. I also checked my surroundings. The shadow magic had long worn off but conceal was still active and thankfully I was lying in bushes so nobody discovered me.

I also checked the enemy and it seemed that one of the gargoyle which was hit by iron javelins had died and the other was now standing guard at the entrance of dungeon.

Strangely, no additional guard was sent to help him probably because nobody even came out to check the situation outside. Just what the hell are they doing inside anyways.

I decided to finish off the gargoyle quickly since I don’t want to be hit by another mind magic again. First I fired gamma beam at it and once it became stunned from it, I produced earth spikes below its feet to trap it and launched iron javelins directly at it.

The gargoyle got skewered without even getting the chance to retaliate. Then I finished it off by cutting off its head. All that was left was a B rank magic stone. I also collected the magic stone of the other gargoyle and finally entered the dungeon.

Again due to darkness I had to rely on my spirit eyes, scan and life detection spells to navigate. Once inside I was now able to properly detect life signs too.

There were about 100 of them similar to the gargoyles and 50 others similar to a humanoid. What the hell is this amount.

The 100 gargoyles are already expected but what about 50 humanoid. Are they the prisoners? Did I found them already or are there 50 vampires here?, which is very terrifying to be honest.

I don’t want to get my hopes too high and then get disappointed. Moreover Charlotte san said that there would be 1000 prisoners so I don’t think the number matches, or maybe they are keeping them divided between other places.

Anyway once inside I came across multiple tunnels but I was able to correctly navigate to the dungeon core thanks to all the magic tools I have now. On the way I did not encounter any monster.

Moreover the dungeon was quite deep this time. Although it was still 1st floor, I had already travelled about 500 meters inside. Maybe that’s why the vampires did not come out.

Finally I was able to see the second floor below me and the dungeon core being surrounded by 3 vampires. There was another one in a different room.

All these dungeon facilities have the same setup. But what I am concerned about is that the other 46 reactions I am getting from my life detection are in a room beyond the dungeon core. But first I have to finish off these vampires.

The three vampires are female and around level 55. It would be difficult for me if they gang up on me. Although, I could handle them if they were not trying to kill me but that situation is just a fantasy.

Anyways, I decided to find the 4th vampire to see if I could make him go berserk just like Mark with my blood. I activated shadow movement and made my way to the room the last vampire was.

He was sitting on a study table and writing something. I scanned him and he was level 70. He is the highest level being I have encountered till now.

His name is Vlad Ventrue and he is definitely one of the three powerful vampire who support Charlotte’s uncle.

It does not seem like the news of destruction of their other dungeons has reached them and that’s why they have so little security.

Anyways I can already see a refrigerator type magic tool here, where probably his blood supply might be kept. So all I have to do is wait for him to leave and adulterate the blood with mine.

And not so long after that he did leave the room, giving me chance to accomplish my plan.

I put some of my blood in all the sacks that were stored in the magic tool. All that was left was to wait for him to drink it. I decided to leave the room and see if I could do the same to the blood supply of other vampires too.

So I went into other rooms and checked for any blood sack. Although there were some rooms I could not enter because there were near the vampires, but it seemed that all the supply of the vampires was in Vlad’s room only. Maybe the 3 female vampires are his harem party or something.

After some time Vlad went into his room to drink the blood and what came out was a terrifying, red eyed Vlad who seemed to be in heat and was showing his canines to anyone he could see. The plan worked wonders and the vampires started fighting against each other.

But this time the female vampires could not even hold a candle against Vlad. He was so powerful that he sucked the female vampires dry in an instant.

He moved so fast that it was very difficult to follow with my eyes. He flew while being surrounded by red aura and attacked with his nails and bit with his sharp canines. The female vampires died by becoming blood less bodies.

I was so terrified that I was not sure if I should attack him or not. But this could prove dangerous, as he was now heading towards the place where other 46 people were kept. If those people are prisoners then I need to kill Vlad otherwise he would kill them.

Vlad got stopped by dungeon core as a gargoyle was produced while he was going towards the prisoners’ area. Vlad started fighting with the gargoyle, but since he was not in his right mind he ended up touching the gargoyle and got petrified.

I could not stand any longer as I did not want the gargoyle to finish off Vlad and level up. So I fired gamma beam at gargoyle and finished it with iron javelins and cutting off its head.

Then I went near Vlad and created a pit below him. Once he fell down, I started firing all the magic inside the pit. I could still see him alive with my scan even after I fired all my spells once.

Then something unexpected happened and his petrification wore off and Vlad flew out of the pit breaking all the stone spikes and iron javelins that had imbedded his body.

Once in air, he immediately was able to discover me somehow even though my conceal skill was still on because I was in plain sight and my shadow movement was on a cool-down.

I took out my shield and ready my sword in order to face the enraged vampire.

He lunged at me at terrifying speed and slashed me with his nails. I was somehow able to block one of his arm with my shield but the second one slashed my forehead and blood started to come out and covered my eyes.

My vision was now dyed red. On the other hand Vlad, after smelling my blood became excited like a mad beast and started growling and moving very fast. His speed crossed the limit of what I could perceive with my spirit eyes.

But somehow it seemed like my spirit eye leveled up and now I was able to see the minute disturbances in mana and predict the place where the enemy would move from the way mana was used and converted into wind element. Since the vampire flying skill uses mana, this skill became useful immediately.

I focused all my attention on striking Vlad and just when he was about to snuck up a bite from my behind. I did a round slash and cut off his neck.

The neck fell off but it did not stop flying. I had already seen this situation before so this time I was not caught off guard and bashed its flying head with my shield and impaled it with my sword.

I did not let my guard down yet and finished its body and head off with earth spikes and then burnt it using oil and fire till the HP became zero according to my scan. I also burnt the bodies of the women vampires. Without blood they looked like crippled grannies.

This time I was somehow able to finish off the vampires without getting hurt much. I did get scratched in forehead and got poisoned but I was able to cure it quickly with the help of potions.

It was also because, this time the 3 vampires died first already and Vlad too was quite hurt after it got attacked ruthlessly by my magic attacks after getting petrified.

But overall this fight was light compared to my previous ones. Drinking my blood takes away sanity of the vampires and makes them go berserk. They don’t use their magic and just attack with their body using their wild instinct. Honestly my blood is a very good cheat for fighting vampires.

I hope Charlotte san is OK after taking my blood and not going around killing people. But from what I know she seemed the intellectual type and so I know she would test it before drinking because she is a potion maker after all.

After that I went to the dungeon core and removed the magic stones of the magic circle that was hijacking it. I also destroyed and erased the circle.

Next I had to finish off the 100 gargoyles sleeping in cages. This was very dangerous because once the cage was broken, the gargoyles would start flying and then it would be difficult to handle 100 flying gargoyles.

So I had to make sure they died without waking up.
