Chapter 103:

Right On The Trap

Wolf Bloodline

Due to the tiny walls formed by falling rocks, the oxygen in the environment was gradually decreasing. And the cave was quite dark except for the light. So as I wandered, I tried to look around more carefully.

The rocks held moss and had a very different smell. It also made me dizzy, albeit slightly. It was the smell of moss decaying for a long time among wet rocks and it was getting inside my body and disappearing every time I breathed. This went for minutes and I was getting pretty annoyed by checking the same rocks and places again and again. However, as I was looking around, something staggering caught my attention. The smell of moss was fading somewhere.

At some exact location, it felt like it was vanishing.

Compared to other parts of the cave, the area located in my right corner had a fairly clean atmosphere too. Neither the smell of moss bothered me, nor the rocks were too wet. It was as if there was a stream of air that cooled down that place.

So I pulled back my arm and the spot with my elbow.

As I imagined, there was some water-filled space behind it and I broke some of it.

That gave me a great idea.

So I kept punching, kicking, and breaking the spot. Eventually, it finally opened a path for me and left me breathless. I was now underwater again and had to put my plan into work as fast as I could.

I swam and swam, throwing my arms at the furthest point. They were aching and my nose was burning because of the water.

I managed to get out of there and caught my breath. Then all the water had flowed into the cave below me and I was far away from there. But surprisingly, I was still inside some type of cave. I just seemed to have reached a different part of it.

"Now if I got out of this part, I could climb out of the other rocky parts of the cave, then outside, and then reach the surface."

And looking around, I saw that I could climb upwards.

"Alright! That is a good plan for now!" I said to myself as I started running again.

Then I started climbing, holding tightly to the rocks.

They were too wet, pointed, and very weak, while they could break at any moment and drop me.

I had to be quick and cautious.

So I tried to get higher every time I held some rock. While the feeling of wet rock and its hitting my hand, hurt me a little bit and I could feel the pain in my arms. It was quite a bit intriguing when I was climbing. But that made me get way higher than I thought.

In fact, I was so high up that I could see the battle and the king's ships from there. The whole ocean had returned to the battlefield, and I was faced with a battle landscape just like the last time we went to war.

This was no other too, but there was also a backstory to it. The sorrow everyone felt just before and after every event, made it even deeper for us to go on about it. So I cleared all of my thoughts, focused, and started climbing once more.

Without taking a breath, I continued to climb. Regardless of fatigue. Without resting or trying to think of any other plan in any way. I focused hard and finally managed to get to the top.

Then when I finished climbing, I was back on top of a flat floor.

To the fact that I was somewhere like that, I was sure that the island was really quite big. Other than the flat place I stood, There was a big volcano, a big palace right next to the volcano, that seemed to be built right on top of the heart of the island and there were probably more than one of the caves that we have been according to its landscape.

I could now easily observe all over the island since I was very high.

And when I looked in front of the palace, I found what I was looking for. I saw Hiroshi and the others. They were running towards the palace gate. They seemed to be hurrying much more after our conversation.

They were sure safe, but it was impossible for me to contact them from there of course. So I had to find a way out of my area and help them. Find something for me to get through here just like I did in the cave.

At that moment, I started going through every plan that I could execute. I was testing my brain and thinking ability very harshly. Because I thought it was going to be something impenetrable.

However, I found myself in realization once more.

There was no one in front of the castle.

Despite the fact that we were going through a war, the castle that had to be destroyed or even damaged by all of the enemies we came across, was somehow looked very durable and new. It was like a newly built structure that nobody entered.

No. That is not it.

I don't know how they did it, but something was prepared for us. To the intelligence level that Ronk had told me, I knew something was off.

Somebody is there.

Somebody is waiting for us.

However, by the time I was immersed in my thoughts, Hiroshi and the others had already entered the palace. So I had to stop my thoughts from taking control over me and get away from that repetitive loss of focus.

*Forget it.* I said to myself.

I just headed towards the palace to help them, and stop any incoming attacks if they have planned something just like thought. Maybe I was overthinking, maybe being in some type of war like this had put me through so many emotions and I was now out of my mental system.

But why did an army like that dangerous stopped? At their biggest moment. At their final move.

It was so out of logic. That wasn't something they could do.

Something they would have done...

Something they could do...

"Wait!"

I tried to shout, but it was futile.

Just to my thought, an explosion occurred.

That magnificent palace, which seemed inviting with its new appearance, was suddenly subjected to an explosion. And as the sound of the explosion spread across the island, the entire palace was torn to pieces.
