Chapter 152:

The Strangers: Part 3

Wolf Bloodline

And just like Hiroshi, Chief's friend, Groy, had cut in between the conversation just as before,

"These are not. He trades with them and sends and gathers soldiers, from certain management to the other. So he does not touch them with any kind of intention to kill, as it is important for him. They kind of seem to be working under the auspices of the fourth, as they trade actually more than soldiers, and as it is power lending war to war. All we know right now is that their armies are very crowded and that they have the power to destroy a kingdom, or do more if they are aiming for it. But still, although we try to find out, we do not know what their purpose is. We know that he just continues to send soldiers to them and hides a secret purpose for this."

"It's like they're preparing for something." said Mila, as her voice finally became hearable.

"Of course, he'll give himself away as he goes along. We know that most of them ended up on the ground, shouting and trying to put us in a situation of despair. So their butthurt goals will not be something that will prevent them from doing the same thing."

"Oh yeah, we did win at last, right? I'm relaxed now."

But as Babu said these words, Hiroshi once again added to his statement, and warned him about one last thing,

"But we can not forget that thing, Panda."

"What.. can't we forget?"

"We might be able to save our lives, and we may have gotten away with it, but we almost died on all of them. So there will be no assurance just like them, and I can't say I am completely sure that we will not die.

It is foolish to plunge into the battlefield with simple logic, if someone thinks that every battle will be the same, then that person will probably don't live another second. It has to be as if they are walking on a very thin thorny path. Otherwise, they won't even survive on any battlefield anyway."

"So you mean we have no chance, Hiroshi?" Babu's voice saddened, looking like he was really nervous.

"I'm saying so we can't act like we know something, like we're seeing the future. We don't have that chances or opportunities as human beings."

"It's not that easy, if you even choose the be wise about your precautions or try the other way around."

"How so?"

"Although you take precautions, even if you only encounter these people on the battlefield, it can lead you to a struggle that will last for many years."

"But what are we going to do face someone that may win against us, before we can even face him? How can he be so alarmed about what can happen to him?"

"As years of practice, and growing the anger inside him, he became somebody that only thought about these things. But it is also because the man we are talking about, is not only the third epic but also was also the teacher of Jixus, whom you will have encountered in your earlier times.

At that moment, when I heard that name, all the memories filled my mind once again. The smell of my mother's wet hands, the cry of my heart with the rush of her blood to the wind. I had buried my pain in my heart, as I had forgotten the name of that cruel man. However, at that moment, they both appeared once again.

"Jixus... He-He is somebody that- that was once one of our people too, right?" I tried to talk to him, as my voice was trying to cover itself from the sadness that could get out any minute.

"Yes, he is. In other words, Furon was the one who sent Jixus, as he had visited the first kingdom before. And because of this, he made us decide to send a dozen wizards to the first kingdom. We had all these people ready for him to stop him. However, it became the case that he managed to take the lives of many people, including Pelena, and he caused more bad events that got away from there and caused us to get information later on, after everything had happened."

Everything was in place now.

As he had built his army, he who had carried out all these slaughters without mercy, and who was pursuing a force without knowing the enemy, was actually sending people we also know as our formal targets that we faced.

This man, whom we know as "epic" and who ruled the third kingdom, after all the years of effort that we have, although all these people have tried to make this lineage and humanity even safer, had turned everything for the worst for us, that he had condemned himself to this fate only because of his desire for black magic and his personality that sought power.

He was the man who killed my mother. The one who gave the order to this Jixus guy. He was the one, that cruel creature who caused him to take his life in front of my eyes.

Perhaps I have lived my whole life as a person who tried to follow the path of kindness. And somebody that will never want to get out of the way of accomplishing what my mother wants from me.

It was the only thing, that I felt incredibly insecure about the decision we could make, and the complex feeling of fear and incomprehension that I felt towards him at that moment.

I just wanted to be in a peaceful way of thinking, away from periods when I was confused.

Which wasn't happening, before I found my mom's peace of mind.

"My point is that he is more cunning and stronger than you think. As well as elite soldiers. It is inevitable that you will die before you reach him."

And then, the prince asked my grandfather an important question, that now kept all of us wondering,

"How do you know so much about him?"

"He was a friend of Lezlie's father. He was also the only son of Groy."

Now I understood why the old man named Groy was so cut off from life. After the betrayal of his son, like every father, he expressed his feelings in a way that was offensive to life. He had given up, not only on the effort with his son, which may be the most precious thing, but he had given up on not battling these feelings and his true nature.

The worst of it was the fact that we were going to go into a war with his son, telling him everything that he had done to us, and what he could do to the ones like us.

Just next to him, we had found ourselves showing and telling our goals with such certainty and determination, and not even giving up our goal for it.

Maybe, now it was time to decide who was really close to us and who was far away.
