Chapter 279:

War Of The Wolves (Ryuu)

Wolf Bloodline

After Lokash jumped on me, we rolled around in the palace while attacking each other. I didn't intend to attack him, but I had to respond to his attacks. I wanted to end the situation quickly, but our fight escalated to the point where we jumped out of the palace and crashed into a nearby forest.

In the forest, it was just Lokash and me. There was no one else around. When our fight stopped for a moment, I tried to talk to him and persuade him to stop fighting. "Lokash, you don't have to do this. Your father knows there's still good in you and I believe in you," I said.

Lokash asked why I was sincere with someone I didn't know. "You don't know me," he said.

"Maybe not," I replied. "But I know the rage of wolf power. If you let it control you, you'll only want war and fear instead of becoming the man you want to be."

Lokash turned his back to me and said slowly, "Well, that's exactly what I wanted."

After his words, Lokash quickly lunged toward me and swung a hard punch at my chest. I threw my arms forward to minimize the damage, but he was stronger than I thought. His punch sent me flying back and shattered the greenery below me.

Lokash ran towards me like a wolf to continue his attacks. In this situation, trying to persuade him without fighting back wouldn't work. The only thing to do was to fight back. I had to fight a wolf like a wolf.

I ran towards him like a wolf, pressing my hands and feet to the ground. When we were close enough, we threw our fists forward. The collision caused so much destruction that the ground cracked. And maybe the whole forest echoed with the sound of our fists.

We continued punching each other faster and faster. Our kicks and claws took our battle to a different dimension. Lokash's wolf powers were highly developed and he fought back as if he knew what he was doing.

I had never encountered a wolf with such power before, except for Miron and my uncle. If we were on the same side, it would be a strong alliance. But for the time being my words had no effect on him. I could only use my power.

I thought about using the powers of my other lineage against him, but I had to wait for the right time and attack accordingly. Otherwise, my plan would be useless. I needed time to realize my plan. And that plan was called distraction.

Our battle became more and more difficult as time passed. I had no intention of injuring Lokash, but he was determined to do the opposite. So I knew I had to be more careful and use the powers of my other bloodline to attack from a distance.

When Lokash got close enough, I breathed fire at him and used my dragon eyes to anticipate his movements. I locked him in a neck hold. For a moment, I had the upper hand, but it didn't last long.

Lokash grinned at me and said, "You think you're the only strong hybrid."

In a sudden move, he shot a bolt of lightning at us from the dark sky. I moved away to avoid being struck, but he had already mastered the powers of his father's bloodline.

The fight took a different turn. After Lokash got free, he looked at me and relaxed his shoulders. "Come on, Ryuu," he said. "Show me the power of Alpha."

There was nothing more to say. When Lokash attacked again with his fists, I used my dragon eyes to see the attacks coming and dodged or fought back accordingly.

I was about to breathe fire at Lokash again when I found an opportunity, but he quickly covered my face with his hand to prevent me from doing so. As he held me, he called a lightning bolt from the sky to shoot me.

Before the lightning approached, I fired a hard kick, aiming at Lokash's jaw. With my kick, he left me involuntarily but it made him angry, and threw more lightning at me. While I was fleeing the lightning, I was also waiting for an opportunity to attack.

When the lightning bolts stopped coming, I jumped up and breathed fire at Lokash from above. He managed to dodge the fire, but I continued my attacks without giving up. Our attacks were too fast for an ordinary person to see.

The destruction caused by our attacks left the forest in ruins. With the end of my attack, this time Lokash jumped and once again directed his lightning at me.

Using my dragon eye, I dodged the incoming lightning bolts. After the bolts, I swung my claws at Lokash. Lokash grabbed my hands, and with a hard headbutt, he knocked me back. I quickly recovered and hit him back just as hard. The impact sent Lokash flying into the tree behind him, and the roots of the tree loosened with the force. Lokash grasped the loosened tree with his hand and threw the tree at me. Using my fists, I struck blows to the trunk of the tree and shattered the tree.

Next, Lokash charged at me, in a quick maneuver he grabbed me by the waist and trying to crash us into the trees behind me. But I managed to use my feet to support myself, knocking us both to the ground. As we rolled on the ground, Lokash got on top of me and began punching me. I blocked his punches with my arms while swinging my fists at him.

I was involuntarily getting increasingly angry. With the situation I was in and the anger of my lineage, my anger gave me strength.

Growing increasingly frustrated, I elbowed Lokash, pushed him off me, and got on top of him, intending to punch him. However, Lokash started laughing. "You better use your anger against the incoming reinforcements."

"Support forces?" I asked, surprised.

"Or didn't I tell you," Lokash replied. "They could be here at any time. Let's see how you can fight against an entire kingdom, But since this kingdom is made up of innocent people, I can't wait to see what it will do, hero"

I knew that the people in this kingdom were under the control of the fifth epic, and if he wanted to, he could unleash innocent people in this kingdom on me as enemies. So I believed what Lokash said.

As soon as I raised my fist, I realized that I needed to abandon the fight. I got off Lokash and started running deeper into the forest. I expected Lokash to follow me, but he turned his focus to the palace because of the sounds coming from it. Although I knew I needed to go to the palace, our plan was to create a distraction, and I had done my part. So I made my way to the meeting point as we had discussed before, so as not to spoil the plan.
