The season 2 premiere

"What do you mean he's refusing to star in the show!?" Fumiyo scowled.

"We just got the call in this morning. Dumbee does not want to take part in the show if we're using Shiragiku's script as a base," the editor stated.

"He seemed fine with it yesterday."

"Well, people change their minds. So I'm gonna need you to rewrite everything."

"Wanna go back to prison for labor violations?" Fumiyo glared.

The editor gritted his teeth and stormed off.

"Shit, well guess I'll really have to take this gamble," Fumiyo thought as she chased after the editor.

                                                                                        ...

"You can't be serious!" the editor groaned.

"Those are my terms for hiring. Agree to them and I'll happily rewrite that shit as much as you want," Fumiyo stated.

"But to do all that in a short time?"

"Wow, prison really softened you up. Were'nt you the same ass that crunched Nobuto to make season 1?"

"Grr, I'm never doing a publishing deal with you after this," the editor growled as he grabbed his pen.

                                                                                  ...

"Huh? Didn't I already tell you no?" Niles growled.

"But you're the only one who can do it!" the editor pleaded over the phone.

"Why're you going through with this anyway? Just have the Cringe guy write the show like intended."

"I'll give you a day. Please consider. Oh, and we managed to get a timeslot to air the episodes we filmed. Tonight at 7:30."

"Wait what?"

"I had a change of heart. Perhaps Cringe is right which is why I'm testing things out. If the reception is good, we'll stick with him, but if it's bad we go with the script by Shiragiku going forward."

Niles began contemplating as the editor ended the call.

                                                                                ...

"Well, I called him. You happy yet?" the editor seethed.

"Go on TV and reiterate that the show is premiering tonight," Fumiyo glared.

"And you dared to call ME a slavedriver!"

"Hey, now you know how Nobuto felt."

"Um, I served 2 years in prison."

"Mainly for the other labor violations."

                                                                                  ...

"HUH!? You say there's gonna be a premier of Yowie Hunt season 2 tonight!?" the news anchor gasped.

"Surprise! Everything before was a publicity stunt. Are you excited Kibe-san?" the editor nervously chuckled.

Fumiyo smirked as she watched the editor squirm on TV.

"Now, this is checkmate," she smiled.

Cringe was pleasantly surprised to see his work airing on the TV when he turned it on.

"Oh? He saw the light? Guess my threats worked," Cringe proudly huffed.

Many people that watched the debut of episodes 1-4 cringed in disgust. Some even made angry calls to the TV station regarding the content presented in the show. The backlash was immeasurable.

The next day...

The sleep deprived editor trembled as he found himself being interviewed on air.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT OFFENSIVE TRASH YOU FORCED US TO WATCH LAST NIGHT!?" the news anchor fumed.

"Calm down Chizuru! We're on air!" a second news anchor scolded.

The angry news anchor was Chizuru Kibe, a petite woman that had been tapped to be Riho Amanuma's replacement. She was also the daughter of the owner of the news station and had a very arrogant personality. Her Co-host was an older man named Eishi Nakamura. He was a senior anchor that normally did the nightly news, but had been called in early due to Chizuru throwing a tantrum after being asked to interview the editor. She was in no state to conduct a fair interview, though her anger spoke volumes to how bad the show had truly been.

"*Ahem* Toro-san, could you explain the production details of the show?" Nakamura asked.

The editor went pale and nearly shat himself as he sweated like crazy and struggled to utter a coherent sentence. Fumiyo then arrived and sat down next to the editor.

"WHY THE HELL IS A DEGENERATE LIKE HER HERE!?" Kibe shouted.

"CALM DOWN! She is here because she was apart of the test screening group for Yowie Hunt season 2," Nanami stated.

"Guess I'll answer his question. Basically, the greedy ass next to me wanted to get out of the red and launched an all or nothing bet off the Yowie Hunt brand. Many authors like me refused to write because Nobuto never intended for this IP to be more than a season. He naturally anticipated the editor's greed though, and wrote a script for a sequel series, but I decided not to bring light to it until I heard who the writer was chosen to be. That piece of shit known as Cringe is nothing but a bully who's obsessed with starting flamewars online and pushing his ego projects. Well, now you can truly see why everyone hates him. Just look at how bad his writing was. Plus, he inserted himself into the show as the narrator," Fumiyo explained.

"HUH? THAT FAT PIECE OF SHIT WITH THE ATROCIOUS HAIRCUT WROTE ALL THAT!? THROW THAT PIECE OF SHIT IN PRISON!" Kibe shouted as she started slamming her fists on her desk.

"Well, I hate that loli for all the lies she spews about Nobuto, but her rage is justified in this case. Considering her personality, there's no way she'd like a guy like that piece of shit. Even though she's literally just a female version of him, she'd happily throw others under the bus to make herself look good. Plus, a large swath of people got to see Cringe's personality and work up close. Now that everyone knows how bad his work is, perhaps they'll ease up on Nobuto," Fumiyo thought.

"I also brought my review from the test group as well as those from the two fine gentlemen that were there with me," Fumiyo stated as the reviews for season 2 appeared on screen.

"As you can see, the internal reviews were horrible, which is why we felt it necessary to delay production and write a new season based off the script Nobuto wrote. There will be changes to the script, but it will still feel like a worthy sequel to Yowie Hunt season 1."

"And what of the reports about Drop Bear Dumbee refusing to participate?" Nakamura asked.

"Pretty sure that was just regarding Cringe's trash. Poor guy was trying his best."

"Indeed. These reviews as well as some that just made today's paper both single out praise for Dumbee's performance."

"So look forward to Yowie Hunt season 3. We'll be bringing back some familiar faces from season 1, and it will be far better than the crap that was season 2," Fumiyo smirked.

The editor fainted as the news went to commercial break. Kibe furiously went to the research department as Nakamura sighed and waved farewell to Fumiyo.
