Chapter 3:

Chapter 3 - First Customer

History's Strongest Tour Guide

The moment Glen Chu picked up the call, a boisterous voice echoed out.

[Buddy! I'm finally back in the country! Aiy... There's nothing better than home. Hey buddy, I brought you some souvenirs!]

The youth on the other side of the phone was too excited, wanting to share every little thing that happened during his trip.

Hehehehe~

Glen's lip raised high up.

This guy wasn't the traitor who stabbed him, but another of his friends called Han Ming.

Han Ming was quite the character. He and the original owner became friends after being teammates for quite some time. Han Ming came from a wealthy middle-class family and usually lived as he pleased. He was a good friend to the original Glen Chu, always helping him when things were too rough.

Glen Chu himself wasn't a lazy person and had a sense of pride and responsibility. So unless there was no other way, he would never ask Han Ming for money or help. Talking to Han Ming, he could hear the faint airport noises.

What a good pal. The moment he arrived, he immediately contacted him to find out how he was doing.

Sigh...

Glen Chu could only say that the original owner had bad and good luck befriending both a snake and a good fellow. One stabbed him, while the other cared for him.

Hearing Han Ming's concerned voice, Glen Chu was moved. But how could he forget his purpose?

"Brother Han... What if I told you that I can take you out to experience the greatest adventure of your life?"

[...]

On the other side of the phone, the blond-haired Han Ming looked at his phone in a daze.

The greatest adventure of his life? A cold chill crawled up Han Ming's spine.

"Bro... I like women. So even if you like me, just give up." Han Ming cautioned pitifully. "I know I'm good-looking, but just forget about me. Don't worry; you'll definitely find someone better."

"..."

who is asking you out?

Glen Chu wished he was by Han Ming's side to strangle the fool.

Tch!

His lips twitched while praying for patience. "Han Ming! Who the hell likes you!? I'm talking about a real adventure like in the movies, you big fool!!"

"Ah!-.." Han Ming was taken aback. "Then why didn't you just say so?"

Glen Chu grabbed his phone, inwardly reciting Buddha's mantra for patience.

Forget it. Though this friend of his was something daft, he was indeed simple and had a good heart.

"Han Ming. What about it? Are you up for the big adventure?"

"Big adventure? Why not?" Han Ming, a travel and adventure enthusiast, was already nodding sheepishly. Just the word 'adventure' was enough to send his heart racing. So if his buddy said it was going to be the greatest adventure he had ever had, then wouldn't it be epic?

(^0^)

Han Ming was all in! To him, even if the adventure meant walking in a sandy desert with nothing else in sight, it would still be interesting. Han Ming didn't know what to expect. But anything out of his ordinary daily routines was an adventure. So either way, he was bound to be satisfied.

"Great! Great! Great! A big adventure is what I need right now. But wait. What do I pack? Where are we going for this big adventure?"

"The Azbian forest."

"..."

What??!!!

One of the most dangerous forests in the county?

Han Ming's face turned chalky white.

"Bro, is it too late to back out?"

(0x0)

.

"Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah."

The duo spent a few minutes on the phone, with Glen Chu directing Han Ming on where to purchase the tour tickets called -- The Mysterious Adventure Guide.

If anyone needed to book a tour ticket, they had to do it online. Of course, they could still pay him in cash, but Glen Chu preferred for them to do so online.

Looking at his interface, Glen Chu frowned. '17? My strength is good but can be better. I have to continue building it up immediately while waiting for Han Ming to get ready.'

Thinking like that, he started doing push-ups and warm-up exercises while planning to run later. But on the other side, Han Ming had just got into his family's vehicle and was headed straight home. In the car, he searched the website Glen Chu mentioned.

The Mysterious Adventure Guide?

What a good name! Already, he was hooked, especially after seeing the online website with more descriptions and short intro videos

The video didn't show Glen Chu's face or any person, yet it was so captivating that Han Ming found it hard to peel his eyes off his screen. Though there were no official videos there, but this intro was too epic for him to miss out on.

F***!

Who knew his buddy had such deep marketing skills? Looking at the upcoming Tour named Azbian Forest, Han Ming wasted no time clicking on the tab.

There was a summary about where he would be meeting the tour guide, Glen Chu, what time he should arrive, the tour's price, and the tour requirements that basically wanted him to carry little to nothing.

Han Ming's eyes lit up with excitement. This was the first time he was feeling such thrills.

Good! Good...

[Payment accepted.]

[Congratulations, customer Han Ming. Your journey into the Forest of Azbian awaits you.]

A journey to Azbian...

~Hahahahaha!

The strange mix of danger, fear, and excitement made Han Ming tremble with expectancy.

Good God!

He could hardly wait.

'What should I wear?'
