Chapter 20:

Part 20: Food Fight

Candiere’s Cafe

It was 6:58 AM when I woke up to my head that was throbbing from everything I did last night before finally finishing my assignments at around midnight. After that, I had stayed up until four in the morning to go back to sleep

For the majority of that time, I had been looking through the school’s map online and playing through the completed version of the Candiere’s Cafe game. All of this was important in order for me to plan out and determine where the murderer’s next potential patterns could be. Fortunately, I had made up plenty of new ways that could allow Cherry and I to stop the monster doing this from getting away again. First, I had to get ready for school fast.

Despite the sore headaches, I persisted through my drowsy walk there. I began to get extremely moody at the halfway point near a wide bridge next to a busy street. Nearly falling every few seconds to the sidewalk abruptly in the most clumsiest ways possible. By the time I reached the academy and entered my designated class seat ten minutes after the bell rang, everyone was already focused on our astronomy teacher’s lecture.

However, trying to stay on task didn’t work out well for me a majority of the time after I switched between electives. Even though I completed all the assignments, there were some moments where I had begun to daze off into a bad and unfocused state. I felt awful until lunch time finally arrived. I wobbled over next to the cafeteria table Imagi was sitting at. Accidentally, I plummeted a bit too harshly into the seat as if I had suddenly decided to get drunk. Rational thought was clearly a lost cause here for me.

“Uhm, Haniki… Are you o-“

Acting like the crazy girl I was, I put my finger up to her lip as if to say that I wanted her to hush. My giggling became uncontrollable which made me feel all sorts of things I couldn’t even describe.

“OKAYOKAYOKAYOKAYOKAYO!” I screamed randomly, as if I my voice inflection was being pushed up and down repeatedly. Almost similar to (for example) pressing the volume button from high to low again and again.

Imagi looked around quickly, noticing that everyone was looking at us. Most notably, Aoki, Miri, and Hiroto came over to see what was going on.

“Hey, is she alright?” asked Aoki.

My goofy self laughed out of nowhere, honking and squealing at the same time before my voice gave off this fast squeaky burst of chuckles like I was being tickled to death.

“Oop. She’s spazzing out. Anyone got any bright ideas now? Cause I don’t think I’m ready to watch her three-ring circus performance,” replied Miri sarcastically.

Then I jumped up and started to spin around while swinging on Hiroto’s shoulders. It quickly got out of hand as we both fell in the most hilariously worst way possible.

“Way to stick the landing Hiroto,” said Aoki, who was intentionally trying to push his buttons.

“Just shut up Aoki…” replied Hiroto as he rubbed his head and dusted himself off to gaze over at me. I had, apparently, fallen hard asleep on top of Cat Nakahara’s back.

She yelled before trying to push me off. What that did was weirdly make me bounce onto Miri who pushed me right back into Cat, whose face got stuffed right into her Sashimi salad.

Cat had a meltdown, pushing me harder than before which caused me to slip against Imagi, Ishikawa, and Aoki. Before long, we all bashed into each other and somehow caused a student’s lunchbox to spill their meal all over Imagi’s uniform.

And this is where things got chaotic.
