CHAPTER SIX
Eating my food whilst everyone was minding their business, Franchez decided to propose an idea "Hey! Everyone! Well.. We haven't met in so many years how about we.. Reintroduce eachother!" Franchez said gleefully
"Sure." Everyone said in unison
Albedo leaned over to me to whisper "This is... Interesting."
Still Bewildered at the whole... Y'know, I decided to ignore it and past the time by entertaining this conversation. I wonder if just an illusion of me talking to myself actually spread like that, Crazy.
Franchez stood up saying "So! I'll start!"
"So.. Uhmm.. Where do I start! My name is Franchez! You all probably know me already! I.. Like ice cream and like to read! I play in a band with Kenth and some other friends!6 Annnndddd........ Well.. That's pretty much it!"
Albedo stood up saying "Me next."
"My name is Albedo, Not to boast or anything but I have a-- well if you round it off to the nearest I pretty much have a 5 gpa."
"We got a badass over here." Kenth interrupted
"Shut up, As I was saying I don't really do too much sports (unlike.. some people). I usually focus on my studies like a good student. Although I usually focus on my studies I have a particular interest in--"
"Alright My turn!" Kenth interrupted standing up
"Asshole.." Albedo murmured
"So Uh! My name is Kenth, I primarily focus on my body rather than my studies. That's why you'll always see me grab these bags." He said pointing towards an arnis sling bag and Taekwondo 'Kix' Bag. "Other than that... Well, I don't really know that's pretty much it!"
"WoooHoooo!" Franchez yelled out
"Alright me Next!" Diego said standing up
"So! It's me! The one and only!--"
"Cringe." Albedo murmured
"The one and only... Diego. I like horseback riding, So you can call me a jockey." He said flexing his yellow hair. "I'm gonna be the number one in this world whether i have to do the right choice or not."
"Sound's kinda ridiculous to be honest." Albedo replied slouching on his chair
"What?"
"Nice one!" Franchez yelled out raising a thumbsup with a smirk
"Alright!" She added "Next up is..."
"ME!--" Kashikoi yelled out before being interrupted by Franchez
"Haruki!"
"Waii-- What?" Kashikoi yelled out in confusion
"Yeah! He's going next!" She said smiling
"Uh.. Okay, Fine.. I'll go"
"My name is Haruki... I like to read... Sometimes..." Being caught in my own tongue Albedo reacted by patting my back
"You good? You're mumbling to yourself." Albedo asked patting my back
"Wh-- Huh? Oh.. My bad."
"As.. I was saying, My name is Haruki, I like to read.. Sometimes. Occasionally I like to play Volleyball and uhh.. That's pretty much it." I said sitting back down
Feeling all the glares from my piers kind of makes me uncomfortable, Especially with Her looking at me it makes me feel embarrassed, I want to look cool but don't know how.. I don't even know what kind of guy she likes, or what type.
"Nice one!" She yelled out
"So.. What next?" Albedo said
"Uhmmm, After we eat we can go and eat out!"
"Good idea (for you.)" Albedo replied
We ate and it took us 2 hours because of us staying there for the cold air, and the fact that Kashikoi kept buying more food adding to the bill. He paid for his end (obviously). After that, We all went to Kashikois House
It was a big 2 story floor building with a store next to it, His family owned that store. His father was there but He didn't mind us, We all went inside his room and he turned on the air conditioner,
Me and Franchez sat down on his bed whilst Kashikoi took out a drumset he had, I don't really know too much about the drums but all i know is that he's playing it and it sounds pretty good to my ears. Franchez was listening along whilst Kenth was on his phone sitting next to Diego playing on Kashikoi's Computer
"Your Parent's dont get angry when you play that?" I asked
"Nah My parents dont care, It's more like an indicator that I'm in my room to be honest."
"Neat."
Few minutes later all of them went outside to get some food. With me and Franchez left in the room I could feel the tension. The how-many-years + we didn't talk and the fact that she probably knows I still like her.
"So.. How's life?" She asked
"Life's been... Pretty good."
As I swayed my feet, I said "So uh, Are you gonna join them or not?"
"Probably not, I think we should talk more! We barely talked back there in the restaurant."
"Oh, My bad. I just... I'm not good with people, Y'know?"
She nodded, "I see."
"How do you do it? The way you're so joyous with everything. I need some tips!"
She chuckled "It's in my nature! Got a prob with that!!" She said jokingly
"Nono! I just, want to be like you."
"You probably wouldn't want to, Because If I were you I wouldn't want to meet me either."
"(But i've been trying to find you for so long.) But we've known eachother for so long! It wouldn't hurt just to see you!"
"Well.. There is something."
She rolled up her sleeve to show self harm wounds on her arm
"Woah.. What's with this?"
"I've been... Struggling with life lately Haruki, There was a time when I was struggling with depression because of overworking. My ex-boyfriend; Diego was kind of a bad boyfriend to me. He would always treat me like shit and say hurtful words to me. Added on by the abuse my parents gave me it doesn't really make me... A good person y'know?" She said smiling after
"So what uh... What do you want me to do about it?"
"You wanna... Go out?"
"HEYHEYHEY! don't you have a boyfriend?!" I frantically asked
"Well.. He doesn't have to know."
"But." I stood up
"Wait! He can't know!" She said grabbing my arm
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I thought
"SH-SH-SHES TOUCHING ME!" I thought whilst blushing
"Weirdo." My reflection said
"I wasn't I wasn't, But I was gonna go down there to eat with them. Wanna come?" I said pulling away my arm
"Uh.. Sure."
We both walked down the stairs and saw Albedo cooking, We sat on the chair and I pulled out my phone
"You're reading again?" Franchez asked
"Yeah.. It's just some random shounen I like."
"Oh really? Let me see!" She said reaching out for my phone
"NONONOOO! I have something in my phone.. (I just don't like anyone touching me.)"
"Woah.. You have something in there?" She suggested
"I.. Well... I cant explain."
Kenth stood up saying "Alright, I gotta go."
"Huh? What?" Franchez asked
"I gotta go to the gym, Wanna come?"
"Suresure!" She said gleefully
They both walked outside of the house and I had a big sigh of relief
"(laugh) You wanted her to leave Haruki?" Albedo asked
"Nono! I just.. Don't feel comfortable when she's here."
"Why's that."
"Cause she has a crushie wushie!" Kashikoi said laughing
"Well.. How do I deny it if it's true."
They all laughed in unison
"Classic stupid Haruki, But real talk I seriously don't know why you like her."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"She's kind of clingy and There's something a bit off with her, It's like she has some kind of hidden backstory we're not supposed to know. We've never went to her house, Never heard her and her mom talk through the phone... etc etc." Albedo said in a serious tone
"Well, Maybe she just doesn't want you guys to know what's going on in her life!"
"Maybe, But when we reunited with Franchez she was... weird, There was something off. I could feel it Maybe she's depressed or something? She usually only wears long sleeve shirts so maybe you can ask her about it. It could be a preference but... I'm not sure."
"Oh yeah.. She did (show me her scars) act weird when we were alone earlier."
"I wonder." Diego asked
"You should stay away from her Haruki, It's for your own good."
"I know... I know..."
"Orrrrr when Kenth leaves I can take over his spot!" Diego said
"There's no way you can take over his spot Diego, Kenth is way too cool for you to replace. It's like comparing a hill to a mountain."
"Tshh (A hill would be more exciting anyways, I'd only climb a mountain if I was gonna off myself.)"
"Hmm.." I thought
"The temptation of getting close to her versus The advice Albedo gave me. Which do i choose, Which is the better option."
"I don't got an idea." My reflection proposed
Albedo turned around to look at my reflection from the coke liter
"Oh, It's you." Albedo said
"Who?" Diego and Kashikoi asked in unison
"Nothing Nothing."
"Alright, Just follow your hearts content man! C'mon Haruki! Haven't you longed for this future! Didn't you want to be with her? You got this! Just.. PICK HER MAN!"
"Don't listen to him Haruki."
"Uhh..."
"Haruki I've been your man to the plan for how many years, Don't give up on me Now!"
"Haruki?"
"Haruki!"
"Listen to me!" My reflection and Albedo yelled in unison
"Woah." Diego said
"Woah indeed." Kashikoi added with a face full of concern
"Haruki... Don't go through this road." Albedo said closing the stove
Albedo grabbed the liter of coke and placed it on the other side of the room
"Albedo are you demented? This house has alot of reflect--"
My reflection was cut off by the sound of Albedo closing the lights
"What a pain in the ass."
"You should go home Haruki, It's getting late."
"..."
"Well..." I said
"Not before I get my free ice." I said turning on the lights
Tomorrow is a new day....
