Chapter 3:

Issue #3

Bio-Stream Volume 1

Usagi ran through the city checking for any crime going on. His patrol style was kinda limited due to him not being able to fly like the characters in the comic books he reads every day so he decided to work with what he had and try his best. Usagi passed through the building his sister Sabrina and her husband Micheal were in for the journalist meeting. Micheal was standing beside Sabrina thinking about how stiff the meeting was because no one’s come out of the board room to allow them to come inside to sit down. Micheal Vaz wasn’t the type who would just stand still so for him to stand there with no one talking or doing anything is just torture Sabrina looked at him and instantly knew he couldn’t take standing there anymore so she decided to go up to someone to see what was taking so long.

Sabrina went over a man who looked to be in his early 40s with pale skin and hazel eyes with short hair that looked to be in its transition stage of black to white but a person could hardly tell because it was just an early stage. “Umm, excuse me sir do you know how long it’s gonna be until the meeting officially starts?” she asked as the man looked up at the clock for a moment. “I think it’s gonna start around 6 o’clock,” he said as Sabrina’s eyes got all big. “6 O’CLOCK!?” she shouted creating a scene as Micheal went over to her carrying her away over to the far left side of the room. “So we have another 2 ½ hours before this meeting starts ugh this is annoying,” Micheal said as Sabrina nods. She texted Usagi telling him that be might a bit later than they thought.

Usagi continued running hearing his phone vibrate. He pulled out his phone to see the message and he felt relieved because gave him the extra time he decided to an isolated area and take his hood off and went to a locate restaurant near the congress building in the town square-like area. The restaurant was called Mean Mark’s ran by a former biker who loves supernatural-type things and is a big fan of country-style music. Usagi loves this place and he was such a fan of this guy’s brother who was a wrestler so he always considered this place like a second home because Mark treated him like the son he never had. Usagi walked inside as Mean Mark already had his table ready for him. “It’s already for you brother,” he said. Mark speaks in the tone of a wrestler and they usually have tendencies to call people brother whether they’re related or not.

Usagi sat at his table smiling waiting for his double cheeseburger with fries the apple juice on the side. Mark soon came out with his food. “Thanks, brother,” Usagi said trying to sound like Mark who just laughs playfully punching his arm. “That’s gimmick infringement kid hahaha! Good try though,” Mark said laughing. Usagi laughed. “Yeah yeah,” he started eating his burger while Mark sat at the bar which was near the table where Usagi was sitting at. “So kid you been hearing about this new vigilante going around stopping criminals?” he asked as Usagi looked at him before taking another bite of his burger.

“My sister Sabrina has been talking about him on her podcast about how he fought off four robbers or something but that’s all I know,” Usagi said as he took another bite. Mark looked at him for a moment. “Look kid I want you to stay clear of him because while he’s a good guy he still could be very dangerous okay?” he asked making Usagi feel very uneasy and he raised an eyebrow. “Okay, I gotta go now,” Usagi said finishing his food and leaving money.

Usagi went up the street and puts his hood back on and readjusted his hat as a truck came speeding through with two police cars following it. Usagi stretched and ran in the direction of the high speed. The two guys in the truck's names were Jackson and Nick. “These schmucks are on our asses,” Jackson said as Nick pulled out his machine gun and started shooting at the police cars making them topple over and crash into things. Usagi was running from behind the truck. His eyes started glowing red and his aura turned red. Usagi made a bloody arrow blast out of his left hand aiming at the tires of the truck. The truck started swirling in the streets as both Jackson and Nick jumped out of the truck as it tipped over.

“Dude, what the hell was that!?” Jackson asked freaking out Nick shrugged as Usagi walked up with his powers still activated. “You two sure made a mess in the streets,” he said in a nonchalant manner. “No way it’s that guy the Bio-Stream freak,” Nick said aiming his gun while shaking. Usagi made a bloody arrow again from his left arm and it destroyed the machine gun as he got closer to the truck thieves. Jacskon tried to swing only to get flipped on the ground and tied up by the bloody arrows from the bio-stream ability. Nick started to run away but Usagi created a bloody rope making him trip and fall on his face knocking himself out as he tied him up. “Hmph easy,” he said as he heard more police sirens and he left the area as soon as the police got there.

Usagi headed back home with a lot of free time on his hands and he decided to get the weekend homework done which he thought was very stupid because he hated getting homework on the weekend but at the same time he felt he was getting better with time management even though this was just one time. Usagi headed inside sighing thinking that he’s gonna have to try to keep this up.
