Chapter 4:

Issue #4

Bio-Stream Volume 1

Sabrina leaned on the wall starting to get even more annoyed because it was getting close to the meeting but the guy hasn’t come out of his office yet to greet the journalists for coming out tonight. Micheal went over to get coffee trying to move around so he isn’t standing in just one place. “This is ridiculous,” he said as a male in his early 30s with aquamarine hair that was curly and he had tan skin wearing a white suit with sunglasses on agreed with him. “You’re right this is ridiculous ya see,” the guy said as Micheal looked over at him. “They tell us 6 o’clock and it’s 5:58 meaning it’s two minutes until the meeting and we haven’t been notified at all,” Micheal explained as the young man nodded agreeing with him. The guy held out his hand and introduces himself as Martin Parker the son of an industry leader.

Micheal shook his hand because he’s obviously heard of him and his father Mr. Parker. The company he and his dad runs is a tech company where they try to develop new technology to make life easier they sometimes contribute to the military and to schools to the laptops the kids use in schools are called X-Stein Model .2 they say it’s the fastest computer in history so these are rich to a point where they could never work another day in their lives. “So what brings you to a journalist meeting?” Micheal asked as he stirred his coffee. Martin took a sip of his coffee. “I’m trying to expand my portfolio plus I have been hearing about this interesting new vigilante stopping bad guys in the streets,” he said. Micheal looked over at Sabrina who was just looking at her phone.

Martin looked over as well. “You see her over there she’s the first person to report on him on a podcast she does. I’m interested to know more since he just appeared again earlier when an 18-wheeler truck was stolen he stopped the two guys in an interesting way I should add I’m wondering who that guy is what about you?” Martin asked as Micheal nodded. Micheal also wanted to know who was because from the news reports the guy had a strange ability that Sabrina called Bio-Stream but Micheal was thinking about who is the Bio-Stream Warrior. Martin showed him the video of Usagi as the Bio-Stream Warrior stopping Jackson and Nick from earlier.

Micheal got wide-eyed. “Um, gonna go back to my wife,” he ran over to Sabrina. Sabrina looked at him. “What’s wrong?” she asked. Micheal wanted to leave because he thinks it was a golden opportunity to do a big story on the Bio-Stream Warrior because if they do they be the biggest podcast but he wants to find out who that vigilante is. Martin came over smiling. “So your married to the woman who put out the first Bio-Stream Warrior story I must you’re much prettier in person,” he said shaking her hand. Sabrina smiled shaking his hand. “Thank you it’s an honor that an industry leader like yourself is interested in a vigilante story,” she said. “I been thinking about giving back to the city,” he said as Micheal for some reason felt uneasy around him.

“What do you think of the Bio-Stream Warrior?” she asked as Martin took a moment to answer. “Well, what can I say the young man is truly making a difference in the city despite still being a newcomer but he should be careful,” Martin said turning his back. Sabrina felt the vibe change. “What do you mean by that sir?” Sabrina asked as Martin continued as she went after him but a young man in his late 20s came out of the office. The young man had long jet-black hair wearing a blue suit with black glasses with brown skin. “Sorry for the wait everyone I was watching this new player in the basketball J. Davis he wears number 11 short guy but he’s better than a lot of players today,” the young man as everyone glared at him because they had been waiting there since 3 P.M. he just gulped.

“Come on into the office everyone,” he said as everyone walked inside. Sabrina sighed with relief because she was getting tired of standing out in the lobby and she turned to look at Micheal and motioned for him to follow her inside as he snapped out of his daze and headed inside. Usagi looked on the tv to check and see if anything is happening as he was doing his homework at the dinner table even though he hated he was gonna try to keep his grades up so his older sister doesn’t worry. On the news, it played the video of Usagi fighting the two guys who stole a truck. They started asking who is The Bio-Stream Warrior. Usagi grabbed the remote and turned the tv off. He become a bit more surprised that he was starting to make a difference even though he’s been doing this to close to a month now. Usagi pulled out his J. Davis basketball card. “Well, buddy my life made an unexpected change but it’s the horse I rode on so I’m gonna take it with a grain of salt,” Usagi said finishing his homework.

The young man looked around at every journalist in the room. “Hello everyone my name is Jin Kuro and the meeting now officially begins,” he says.
